on days when i haven't had enough sleep the night before (which happens quite often), i try to stay away from dark eye makeup and just play with fresh and glowing shades of pink or peaches. to make the eyes pop and look more awake, lining the lashes with dark but still playful shades will help.

Nichido night out liner in Purple
Maybelline Cat Eyes mascara
UD 24/7 liner in Zero

it's been a while since i last used my MAD minerals e/s. i still remember when i still used to do "pot sessions" for my mineral e/s samples.

'twas another lunch break when the foodtrippers striked again. we were all stressed with work, and of course what's the best way to de-stress besides shopping? FOOD!

since we only have a 1-hr break, we decided to just go somewhere near the office (but do we really care if we go on overbreak? LOL). An officemate of ours suggested to try out C2 (Classic Cuisine) at Megamall which serves unique Filipino dishes
. i was hesitant at first, since i wanted to try out other cuisines, but what the heck...it is still food. LOL

Aligue Rice
Creamy crabfat, toasted garlic and rice

Php125.00

i dunno why, but i can't remember tasting too much of the aligue. or maybe it's just me.

Monggo at Bagnet

sorry, forgot how much this is. but it's good...i love monggo though i would love it better if it's with galunggong (fried fish). alright, i am asking too much =)

Binagoongang Lechon Kawali
Crispy liempo topped with sauce served with grilled eggplant relish

Php275.00

this is what i've ordered. i was surprised to see it like this. i was expecting the usual...but again, they are serving unique pinoy dishes. i still liked it though, most especially the eggplant relish that came with it. we even asked the waiter if they are serving a separate dish of the relish...hehehe!

C2 Adobo Classic
The complete Filipino adobo stewed chicken with egg, bananas, tomatoes and atchara

Php295.oo

i love my aunt's adobo better...was expecting more with this dish.

Crispy Squid
Golden and tender squid rings drizzled with soy glaze

Php245.o0

this is good...but nothing great.

Leche Flan
Melt in the mouth milk custard

Php95.00

ahhh, now this is LOVE! it literally melts in your mouth. not too sweet, just the right sweet that would leave you craving for more!

Biko Barako
Coffee infused rice cakes with a molten hazelnut surprise

Php95.00

i am not a fan of rice cakes...but it's good.

Bibingka Souffle
An award winning dessert- light and fluffy blend of coconut custard, salted egg quezo de bola and toasted coconut

Php145.oo

we were confused with this one. it tastes good but we were looking for more of the bibingka taste.

let's pour that milk, baby!

trying out my camera's color accent feature again :)

the happy (and full) foodtrippers!

overall, food is great. we left the restaurant so full and yet planning on when to pay them another visit to try out other dishes...and of course, their meryendas!

if you love pinoy dishes but wants some twist, this is one place to go. dishes are priced at Php250 up, good for 2-3 persons...so it won't really burn a hole in your pockets.

I am a sucker for facial wipes. I always make sure that I carry some with me, and my makeup removal routine would never be complete without them. I am such an OC when it comes to removing my makeup that i cleanse my face twice before washing: 1) Massage my face with a milk makeup remover, then wipe with a facial tissue 2) Use wet facial wipes to get rid of any residue

I've used a lot of brands of wipes before...even MAC. In as much as i love MAC, the price isn't too friendly and my wallet's been complaining for quite a long time now. So i am always in the look out for something that would work as good, if not better.

Then I saw this during one of my trips at Watsons:

Acne Wash Cleansing Tissues
(contains Salicylic Acid / Tea Tree Oil / Aloe Vera)
  • Acne treatment makeup remover tissues
  • Deep cleans, unclogs pores and removes dirt and oil
  • Visibly reduces redness in days

makeup remover + acne treatment in one!? whoa, this must be good! so i decided to get myself a box and tried it when i got home.

what i love:

  • it has salicylic acid, which works for my pimple-proned skin (I'm allergic to Benzoyl...)
  • doesn't dry my skin
  • face feels fresh and cleansed after
  • it's like a 2-in-1 product: washing your face to get rid of makeup and applying toner
  • though it has salicylic acid, it is gentle on the skin. no stings, no allergic reactions
  • i know other would hate the smell, but it's okay with me. its scent makes me think that it's gonna work since it kinda smell like medicine..LOL!
  • cheap. priced at P99/box which has 30 cloths and each cloth is sufficiently wet unlike the others that i've tried.
  • it does get rid of the redness!

what i hate:

  • i tried using this directly without cleansing my face with something else...and it wasn't able to get rid of my waterproof makeup.
  • it dries up easily

TIPS:

  • make sure to store the box upside down to avoid it from drying.
  • cleanse your face first with something that would "soften" those waterproof makeup then use this.

will i buy again?

i've been re-purchasing (and hoarding) this for almost 2yrs now!

hello ladies...been a while since i last posted some updates. i know you won't be interested what's keeping me busy lately, but i'll tell you anyway! hahahaha..

so, since i've been terribly busy with work (and still is) last week, i was so tired and restless that i thought i'd need some sort of make over. i really wanted to look different and younger that i wanted to cut my hair realllly short...but i am BIG now so i can't! i then went to a salon during lunch break last week, wanted to have my hair trimmed, treated and give my nails some lovin'. i went back to the office broke (yaiks) with newly polished nails and (sort of) new hair:

tadaaaaaah! okay, you may stop laughing now. i know i look silly because of the bangs, but i had no choice but to have it that way. LOL

actually, i asked for side bangs but it ended up too short to tuck behind my ears. i'd look crazy to just let it as it is, so i cut it and gave myself some bangs. my cut was terrible and ridiculous (thanks to my sister for those kind adjectives) and told me to have it cut properly at a salon. so i did go to another salon to have my bangs fixed.

at the salon, the stylist didnt look so happy with what i did. heheh she told me that i ended up cutting too much of the hair that's not supposed to be my bangs. geessh, i felt so stupid for messing up with my hair but she told me she'd fix it.

so what do you think? do i look okay or funny? LOL

camwhoring in the car, again!

another thing that's keeping me busy is my new camera...yey! i am trying so hard to learn how to use it properly or else X would hit me with it. i must admit, it's a bit frustrating trying to play with all its settings before coming up with a good shot that i would still sometimes reach out for my good old canon ixus75.

it does have a manual...but i am not fond of reading such materials. LOL

anybody there who would want to give me some pointers?

anyways, here are some of my shots:

color accent

on macro mode
thanks to April for teaching me these techniques. i would want to learn more so i can maximize the use of my new baby...again, i dont want to get hit by this on the head!
tata!
