Happy Friday look + Tutorial...

Image
and here's my promise to come up with a "colored" eyemakeup tutorial...not that colorful, though. at least, it's not neutral. :) the colors i've used for my eye makeup: all colors from my 120-color Manly palette except for #4 which is MAC Shroom 1. Using MAC 239, apply color #1 on the entire lid. Then using a big blending brush (MAC 224) blend the edges to get rid of the harsh line: 2. Using MAC 217, apply color #2 on top of #1. 3. Using a Q-tip, fix the shape of the eyelid color...just in case you mess up, like me. lol 4. Using a smaller blending brush like MAC 222, apply color #3 on the outer-V then blend... 5. Using another shader brush, apply color #4 as highlight. I originally used MAC Gorgeous Gold but found it too yellow as a highlight...so i changed it to Shroom 6. Apply liner on the upper lashlines. I've used MAC Penultimate liner. I think i really messed up with my line here...see, it's wonky! 7. Apply black liner on the waterline and...

just another great weekend...

so what else can be better than spending time with your family after weeks of being stressed with work..and sometimes feeling so down from being all alone? finally..i get to spend time with my family by going home every two weeks. before, i go home every two months...or maybe monthly at the most. but after a week of being all alone here in the city, i would feel like being with my family gives me the energy to keep going. yeah, it can be tiring...but indeed worthwhile. now that i am back here in Manila, i wanna go home again and be with them. nothing beats the feeling of being back HOME. some pics from my great weekend: yeah, we are a family of camwhores! with my not-so-baby-anymore sister, SAM driving again with my favorite passenger oh and yeah, i didn't bump into anything or anybody this time. :) more pics here . how about you ladies...how did you spend the weekend? tata!

Product Review: Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner

Image
Revlon® Colorstay™ Eyeliner glides on easily adding drama and definition to your eyes for up to 16 hours. Waterproof formula won’t smear, smudge or fade. Available in 8 shades. I was never a fan of eyeliner pencils...for i started to learn how to do eyelining using liquid liners. For me, they are easier and no tugging of lids. Not to mention i can draw straighter lines with them. :) Until i met Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in Blackest Black. (and eventually got the other one in Black Brown) I must say, this is LOVE. what i love: stays on! this is the only eyeliner that stayed put even when applied on my waterlines ea sy to apply, goes on smoothly without tugging comes with a sharpener which is good if you want to sharpen it...no need to buy a separate sharpener lasts a long time since the color is great, most especially the Blackest Black. doesn't break easily unlike other brands i've tried (opps, i am not dropping names here beh!) D oesn't irritate my eyes e...

Revisiting my JLYNNE mineral eyeshadows...

Image
can't remember the last time i used my JLYNNE minerals. you know ladies that my addiction with makeup started with mineral makeup...remember how i used to hoard sample baggies from different brands i got introduced to? and how i do my "pot-sessions" after getting these sample baggies? hahahaha... oh well...i still love loose mineral eyeshadows, but the pressed ones are easier to use when you're in a hurry...less messy too! for this look, i decided to give my JLYNNE minerals some lovin': Treasured on the inner lid, Sakura on the outer lid and MUFE #138 on the outer-V FACE: Body Shop Flawless Foundation in 02 MAC MSF Natural in Light Medium MAC blush in Dainty MUFE HD Finishing Powder MAC Sculpt and Shape LIPS: MAC Creme Cup sorry bout the pics...i've been playing on some editing tool lately, and still haven't decided on what to really use for my blog =) tata!

hmmm..i can't seem to remember the last time i shopped. (sigh) i know it's a good thing coz i am able to save...but you know that shopping is one (if not the only one) thing i do to help me de-stress, so imagine how i am after weeks of being overworked and not being able to shop! LOL anyway, here's some stuff i got last week... Max Factor PanStik, because i've read some good reviews about this one..and well, i am broke to buy MUFE Panstick...and of course, another new brand of lotion to try. The Body Shop Flawless Foundation...mom got one and i love its coverage and staying power. But it seems a tad darker on me...i thought there's another lighter shade but apparently, what she has is already the lightest (shade 02). but the stubborn me still decided to get one... =) yey, i got a new pair! love my new tops...and the best part? i got a 20% birthday discount! gifts from my dear friend, Nimfa. thanks thanks! how about you, what's your latest haul? gees...

Product Review: The Body Shop Lightening Touch

Image
Best if you want to: Brighten your skin while hiding imperfections and dark circles with an indispensable, liquid makeup. Best for: all skin types, especially those prone to dark shadows What it is designed to do: Light reflective particles (mica) instantly brightens skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines. Community Trade marula oil from Namibia helps to repair skin’s moisture barrier. Portable twist-up pack with gentle applicator brush makes product convenient and hygienic Available in 3 shades: 01, 02 and 03 I've been using this for almost 2 years...the reason? well, aside from my (really) dark eyebags, i can't make myself buy its more expensive counterpart..the YSL Touche de Eclat. So i tried this one. And i must say, this really works! shade in 03, the lightest among the 3 what i love: it works! not much of a concealer but it helps in brightening the undereye area. what i do is i apply a concealer first (Cinemasecrets) then apply this on top. I would pat...
