Travels: Armenia and Georgia

Oh yes, I am still alive...and kicking! I know I've been MIA for more than a month and if you've read my last post, you pretty much have an idea of what I've been and still going thru. I'm doing fine, though I still get a bit emotional on some days...but as compared to how I was a month ago, I can say I am doing better.  I am still hurting, yes, but I really don't have much choice these days but to accept that these things have happened and that I need to move on.  Move on and hope for the best.  For those who sent me messages after reading my last post, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Most of you I haven't met personally, but you took time to give me words of encouragement.  Thank you for including me in your prayers. I am really, really thankful for making me feel that I am not alone in this ordeal after all. So last month, I finally ticked off an item from my bucket list: I finally traveled solo!  I visited two countries: Armenia with friends a...

Thank you!

To all those who took time to visit me in the hospital, to those who sent me their well-wishes and to all those who included me in their prayers, Thank You! After 4 days of staying in the hospital, I am now back home recovering. The operation went well, and I finally said goodbye to my dysfunctional tubes.  Good thing we opted for an open surgery instead of laparoscopy because if we pushed thru with the latter, they will still end up cutting me open because of the adhesions between one of the tubes and the ovary.   I now have a 5-6in bikini-cut wound on the lower abdomen.  This somehow gives me an idea how it feels to give birth via CS. I'm sure CS is a lot harder because despite the pain you are feeling, you also have a baby to take care of.  I am still in pain but I can manage it. Buti na lang din I have a high pain tolerance.  The only thing that I hate is that I was advised not to take a bath until my next checkup with my doctor. And that is on...

The Reason Why

Image
Oh yeah, I got myself a new bracelet:   I still don't have the other one which is for my left wrist though and I don't really look forward to getting it soon. As per my doctor, I'll get it an hour before THE PROCEDURE. If only I could get away with not having it. I just hope the nurse who'd be attaching it on me is an expert and that my wrist (or the back of my palm/hand) won't end up being sore just because the nurse couldn't it get on the right nerve. (scared) So what exactly is the reason why I am having a staycation here in the hospital? I'll be undergoing a bilateral salpingectomy, folks. To put it simply ( para iwas nosebleed ), i'll be having both of my fallopian tubes removed. Why? They are both blocked (one totally and one partially, talk about being unlucky) and that's why I didn't get pregnant after all these years.  Hopefully this is the ONLY reason why I am not getting pregnant.  I was first diagnosed with this somet...

Back in Pinas

Image
with Mom and Sam Oh yes, I am back in PH!  I really hope it's for good, but it isn't.  After being out of the country for almost two years, I can say that nothing feels like home than being in your bayang sinilangan.   Iba talaga sa Pinas. I will not trade it with any other place in the world.  But for now, me and Mr. X just have to do what we gotta do. Tiis-tiis muna and eventually, both of us will be home. And hopefully, we'll be with our bundle of joys.  Can you please help us pray for that? Pretty please? I'm back for a one month vacation. To be honest, I'm not really here for a vacation.  I went home for an operation and though I can have it done in the UAE, I preferred to go home so I'd be with my family too.  Too bad, Mr. X wasn't able to come home with me but I am sure that I have his 100% support and prayers.  No, I am not sick.  But we can actually say that too, but really, I am not. Confusing? Hahaha, I'm sorry. ...

I am still here….

Image
Oh yes, I am still here…that is in case you're wondering where the hell am I and well, you're missing me. Wait, have you missed me? ^_^ Kiddin' aside, I've just been very busy since last month because I've started in a new job which is entirely new to what I've been doing in the past. I'm still adjusting until now and to be honest, I still can't say that it's for me. Let's see.  And another reason was, I went home for a short vacation in PH!  I got to spend New Year with my family and spend time with friends.  Indeed, iba talaga ang feeling pag nasa Pinas. I still look forward to the day that we won't have to leave anymore.  Here's a few snaps of our time in Pinas:  goofing with my Mom and Aunt as soon as we arrived at the airport Mr. X and I with Jollibee!  I made sure that our first meal is going to be chicken joy. ^_^  With Mom and Sam Oh yes, I got another haircut!  w...

Makeup Look: Neutrals...

Image
And so I am back with my (boring) make up looks!  But hopefully, you'd bear with me because I so missed putting on makeup after months of just staying at home. Honestly, I think my so-called makeup skills have gone rusty. And I need to practice more. Unfortunately, I don't think I'd be back to doing makeup on other people soon so I only have myself to practice on.   I'm glad that most women in the office where I work wear makeup, so I'm not really the odd (wo)man out. (laughs)  And I don't think they would get shocked should I decide to wear my "Happy Friday" (now called Happy Thursday) look everyday either. So hopefully, I'd be back to wearing colourful makeup looks soon.  And maybe, just maybe, have time to do tutorials again.  Yes? For a start, how about some neutrals?  (What! Neutrals again!??) I know right. Hahaha! But that's just to get the ball rolling.  Hopefully. ^_^ K-Palette Lasting 2-way Eyeb...

Updates! Updates!

Image
For those who have been following me on Instagram, you'd know that I'm not actually missing in action.  I'm still very much alive and kicking!  Though I haven't been active here on my blog, I'm posting updates on my Instagram and Facebook often.  I know I've said again and again, but I will try my best to update this blog as much as I can.  My life has again turned 180 degrees, and I'll tell you more about it in a bit.  Last March, I went home for a 3-week vacation in PH.  I've been gone for more than 7 months, but when I got back, it actually felt like I never left.  ^_^  reunited with my baby MAC I went home to attend my sister's college graduation. Can you believe how time flies?  And guess what, she's starting on her first job soon!  She had her first job interview a day before her graduation, and got the offer the same day!  I'm so excited for her. I still remember when I got the offer from my first jo...

Valentines Makeup Look + Updates...

Image
Oh yes, I am still alive!  I know I've been MIA for weeks now and I'm not sure if you missed me, but I missed you! ^_^ By the way, let me first greet you a…. via So, what are your plans for today?  As for me, I am not sure.  I'm still nursing a bad case of colds and I'm not really in the mood to go out these days.  Me and Mr. X aren't so big with V-day, I actually can't remember a time when we celebrated it on the actual day! But let's see what he's up to for today.  Tee-hee.  By the way, it's payday weekend + V-day for you there back in PH, so if you're going out on a date later, be prepared to be caught in traffic!  But as long as you'd get caught in traffic with that special someone in your life, I don't think that would be a problem. Cheesy much!  Hahaha.  Anyways, should you not be able to celebrate it today, there are a lot of days to do so.  Besides, every day can be Valentines Day, right!?    Going ...

Hello, 2014!

Image
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Oh boy, can you believe that it's 2014 already!?  Time flies soooo fast, it was just like yesterday  when I first greeted you a happy new year via this blog the first time. And now my blog has been running for more than 6 years already!  I am really keeping my fingers crossed that I'd be able to update more often or at least get back to how much I've been blogging when I first started.  I'm not gonna make a promise, but I will try…harder!  I'm still pretty new around here so I don't have much access to a lot of things I had access to back in the Philippines but I'll see what I can do to make you visit this blog and not be like "..she's so boring!" (laughs)  Anyways,  I want to give you some of the highlights of my 2013..and the best way to do that would be thru photos.  I've already posted this in my Instagram and Facebook, but just in case you haven't checked it, here it is:

Chowking Breakfast, in Dubai + a bit of emo time...

Image
Today marks my first month of staying here in Dubai, a total of two months of being away from every body and every thing else back in PH.  And yeah, I'm starting to get homesick.  Sniff.  But there are things one has to do, and for now, this is what I need to do...to be with Mr. X.  Things haven't been easy.  Each day I wake up, I look around me and will imagine my place back in Manila.  I think about how I would struggle from getting my lazy ass off the bed so I could start prepping up for work.  And yeah, this ain't easy to say, but I miss working!  I knooww, there were times I would write here complaining how stressful my work is, and how I wanted to get a looong vacation.  I guess, it's really human nature to long for things you no longer have.   There were days I would ask myself if I did the right thing.  Sometimes, I'd say yes...but there are times when I would cry and check available flights going back home. I don't hav...

A trip to the Museum and Central Park...

And so the "-ber" months are here!  I bet Christmas songs are now being played at the malls back in PH...and probably some homes have been setting up their Christmas trees already!  Oh geesh, now I am missing home more!  (sniff)  Here in the US, it's different.  No Christmas carols nor decors yet.  But summer's over and students are now back to school.  I overheard a mom at the grocery earlier at how she misses her kids now that they are back to school.  I guess moms are just like that everywhere! ^_^ I'm on my third week here in the US and oh boy, I have a lot of stories to tell and photos to show you.  For today I'll be showing you some photos I took when I went to NY and walked around there by myself!  Oh yeah, all by myself.  Of course, I had with me Google Maps!  (laughs)  I was scared at first most especially when I had to take the subway.  But what the heck, I can always ask people around, which I did ...
