Nivea Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover

Image
I know, I know...you'd probably be asking, "just how many makeup remover does this silly girl need?" I honestly lost count already as to how many makeup removers I've reviewed on this blog. While some are good, there's also a number of removers that didn't make the cut. And well, some made it to my favourites list. Maybe I'd do a post on my most favorite makeup removers of all time.  Hmm, what do you think? For now, allow me to share with you my favourite eye makeup remover as of the moment.  Months ago, I was over the moon with the Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover .  But a makeup and skincare junkie like me just doesn't stop after finding a favourite, we continue to search for a new product to like (and love). Oh, I'm sure you can relate.  If not, then what the hell are you doing here reading my blog in the first place? ^_^ Nivea Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover (less than AED 30) Enriched with Cornflower extract,...

Glambox Middle East February Box

Image
I woke up today and realized, we're on the last month of the first quarter of the year!  Oh geesh, ang bilis talaga ng araw .  I feel so pressured! Most especially because in a few days, it's gonna be my Mahal's birthday and until now I don't have an idea yet of what to give him. Though we've agreed we won't be giving extravagant gifts this year because we need to save up for something REALLY IMPORTANT (care to guess what it is?), I still feel like I need to give him something.  It doesn't have to be big, but gosh, I really am running out of ideas. Besides, we've been together for more than 21 years and I think I've already given him all possible presents I could give him (except for one..sniff).  Give me more gift ideas please. Putting that aside for now, let me share with you what I got for the February box from Glambox ME.   Glambox Middle East February Box  When I opened the box, I honestly got disappointed to see not one, but ...

Nivea 3 in 1 Micellar Cleansing Water (All Skin Types)

Image
If you haven't heard of Micellar Cleansing Water, you might be living under a rock.  When it comes to removing makeup, it's the "IN" thing nowadays. It promises to suck those nasty grime, makeup and impurities out of your skin for a deeper cleanse. It's soap-free, so no dry, stretchy-feeling on the skin afterwards. I've already tried two micellar cleansing waters, Bioderma and Happy Skin Make a Clean Sweep , and between the two I can say that I like the latter more.  Both of them can totally remove my makeup, even waterproof ones, but that of Happy Skin's has special skincare ingredients. So you get a cleanser and a skincare in one! I've been alternating the Happy Skin cleanser and Bioderma Sensibio (which I will be reviewing soon) but our dear friends from Glambox ME gave me another option by sending me another miceller water cleanser to try out, the Nivea 3 in 1 Micellar Cleansing Water. Nivea 3 in 1 Micellar Cleansing Water (For Al...

My 3-month Glambox subscription ended last January and with their Bliss-exclusive box last month, I wanted to kick myself for not continuing with my subscription!  I love receiving beauty boxes, it's like Christmas morning when you get this lovely pink box with a little, or no clue at all as to what's waiting for you inside.   For this March, I got a complimentary box from Glambox ( thanks, Glambox Middle East! ) and it was like Chrismas morning once again.  For this month, their box is yet another exclusive box and this time, it's from a brand that has been a household name for many years…NIVEA. For this exclusive Nivea box, they are featuring 4-full sized products that are essentials, most especially if you are a skincare-junkie like me:

Product Review: Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion...

Image
I don't know about you but I just love applying lotion all over my body after taking a bath.  It's something I actually look forward to, as I love having the feeling of soft, freshly scented skin after.  But  yes, there are some who hates applying lotion. Aside from it takes a few more minutes of their time, they also say that what they hate the most is the greasy feeling.   But moisturising is a must.  It's like giving your skin its needed drink.  And I'm sure you all know what happens if skin is dehydrated.  Definitely, not good. If you're one of those who struggle to find the time or simply can't be bothered to moisturise, Nivea's latest breakthrough might just be what your beauty routine has been waiting for... NIVEA In-Shower Body Lotion A revolution in time saving and moisturising, our In-Shower Body Lotion gives you that silky-smooth feeling all day, every day. Simply apply to wet skin, rinse and towel dry as usua...

Black Stays Black, White Stays White For Longer with Nivea Deodorant Invisible for Black and White...

Image
Do you get those annoying white marks on the underarm areas of your dark tops or yellow stains on your whites?  I did.  Until I started using Nivea's Deodorant Invisible for Black and White. I'm sure you got the same problem, or probably still having this problem of stains being left on the fabric of your clothing because of the deodorant you're using.  There are two types of stains that a deodorant could cause: 1) White marks on dark textiles that appear right after you apply your deo that can be washed out without too much difficulty and 2) Yellowish stains on light fabrics that would get more noticeable over time and will eventually make that piece of clothing not wearable. The scientists at Beiersdorf in partnership with the textile experts at the Hohenstein Institute have identified the cause of the problem and eventually developed a new generation of deodorants that would not leave white marks on dark fabrics and minimize yellow stains on light-colo...

Something New: Nivea UV Whitening Serum

Image
I have always been a fan of Nivea body lotions.  And being a sucker for anything whitening (okay, don't hate me for that!) I particularly love their whitening lotions.  Aside from they really work, I love that they don't feel heavy on the skin.  And the scent's not overpowering.   So when I heard that Nivea came up with this UV Whitening Serum, I really got excited.  Well, I always get excited whenever there are new products coming out, more so if they are from a brand that I really love.   NIVEA UV WHITENING SERUM The answer to lighter, fairer skin, once and for all NIVEA, helming the world’s best line-up of whitening products, introduces the NIVEA UV Whitening Serum , the Philippines’ first and only intensive whitening and repair serum for the body.   This is NIVEA’s first foray in introducing serum to the Philippine market, in its pursuit to provide more long-lasting whitening products that do not only stop ...

Shopping for essentials...

Image
I can't believe it's February already.  Before we know it, it'll be Christmas again!   LOL!   It's been weeks since I got back and being a good girl with a promise to cut back on shopping, this is my first time to shop again. But nah, I didn't shop for makeup or clothes (because I'm too big and I'm still hoping I'd lose some inches first) but essentials! I know I call makeup my essentials, but this time, I only bought stuff I REALLY need. Finally, Dove Hair Therapy Shampoos and Conditioners are now in the Philippines. We've been buying ours from PX stores in Subic...now, no need to take that extra mile! ^_^ I've been using Nivea creams since time immemorial. I use them on my neck, knees and elbows.  This is the first time i'd be using their Double Effect Shower and Shave cream though.  I've been using Gilette shaving gel for a long time but I think it's time to try out other brands. Okay fine, I admit I got ...

Nivea Express Hydration Body Lotion...

Image
if there's another thing that would make my bath experience complete, it's applying a body lotion after. day and night, after shower, i never forget to use lotion. i was talking to my mom one night when she just got out of the shower and i saw her applying lotion. i asked her if she can get away with not doing so, and she said "absolutely not!" it's also funny that we've tried a lot of lotion brands and if there's one brand we absolutely love, it would be Nivea. and i must have taken it from mom, who hoards stuff she loves, i also make sure i never run out of my essentials: whitening lotions and creams from Nivea yeah, yeah...i'm a sucker for anything whitening. don't hate me for it! ^_^ recently, Nivea came up with their new lotion that promises extra fast and long=lasting moisture for normal to dry skin: Nivea Express Hydration Body Lotion An ultra-light formula enriched with sea minerals, that absorbs quickly and lea...

HELP!

Image
I ran out of my HG makeup remover and can't seem to find it anywhere. I am not sure if it has been phased out, or just OOS. I am using Shu cleansing oil to remove my eyemakeup, but for the rest of my face, i use this. I am on breakouts galore right now and this one's so gentle that it doesn't aggravate my already troubled (and damned) skin. so please, if anyone of you knows where to get this...please, PLEASE message me. sniff! by the way, here's my review on it just in case you missed it.

Product Review: Nivea Visage Sensitive Balance Cleansing Milk Makeup Remover...

Image
Softly cleanses & helps to relieve the skin from tightness and irritation Light formulation feels satin-soft on the skin and makes it a pampering cleansing experience leaving the skin smooth and comfortable Free of alcohol, fragrances and colorants and are skin pH-neutral Excellent skin compatibility of the products has been dermatologically approved on sensitive facial skin i've been using this since i got addicted to putting "layers" of makeup on my face. i remember just cleansing my face directly with water and soap until my mom gave me a hard poke on the head telling me that i should remove my makeup first with something else before washing my face. she actually recommended Ponds cold cream but i find it too thick. good thing i came across Nivea. what i love: no strong smell...it does have a subtle scent but not irritating not too think, consistency is just right doesn't irritate my skin. i've been on obagi and my face tends to peel from time to time, but...
