Midnight Magic look...

Image
i've been meaning to revisit my love for mineral eyeshadows...it sparked my love for eyemakeup anyways, but lack of time in the morning stops me each time i'd try. so this weekend, when i had to meet mom for breakfast and get my loots from her...i had more time to reach out for my long-forgotten mmu e/s and play. but of course, i still have to be early for breakfast. mom would kill me if i'd be late. Practical Magic from MEOW and Midnight (MAC Carbon dupe, imho) from Sweetscents PAC Brow kit UDPP MMU e/s in Practical Magic and Midnight MAC Blacktrack Shiseido MM Lash Expander (note: e/s applied wet) Nars Primer MAC SS concealer in NW20 Skinfood Salmon Brightening powder Maybelline Loose Mineral Foundation in Buff MAC Blush in Dainty MUFE HD Loose Finishing powder NYX lipgloss in Beige i miss playing with my mineral makeup...i still have tons but good thing they don't have expiration dates.

Tutorial: Neutrals using loose minerals...

I've been neglecting the very first reason why i fell inlove with makeup...my mineral loose eyeshadows! So, for this tutorial, i used my MAD and MEOW mineral eyeshadows. 1. MAD Sand Dune 2. MEOW Modern Eyes in Fur Flyin' 3. MAC e/s in Espresso 1. Start with priming your eyelids. I've been using my Too Faced Shadow Insurance topped with MAC paintpot in Soft Ochre and it works just like my UDPP :) 2. Using a flat shader brush (MAC 239), pat MAD e/s in Sand Dune on the lid slightly passing above the crease. Then using a big blender brush, gently sweep the color to get rid of the harsh lines. 3. Using a medium blending brush (MAC 217), apply MEOW e/s in Fur Flyin' on the outer-V. Blend this with your first lid color. 4. Using a much smaller blending brush, intensify the outer-V by applying MAC Espresso on top of the MEOW e/s. Blend, Blend, Blend! 5. Using a bigger flat shader brush, apply MAC Shroom for highlight. Gently sweep using a big blending brush to blend with the l...

(me laughing at my post title) well, i was trying to figure out the combo that i would be wearing for my friend's wedding. the motiff is green and copper so i figured that probably i should be wearing green...and since i'm not really into lipsticks (i prefer nudish pinks) i thought of wearing something strong...something dark...probably smokey. i am not sure if that would be okay to wear in a wedding though. anyways, here's what i came up with. (definitely not smokey) sighs i badly need some help... used: UDPP + MAC PP in Soft Ochre all over lid, Milan e/s in Milan's Mojito from the lash lines to just above the crease, Milan's e/s in Money Green on the outer-V, eye contour and as a liner on the lower lash lines, Meow IdealEyes in Kept Kitty applied below the brow bones to highlight, Everyday Minerals e/s in Smokey as eye liner on the upper lash lines, L'oreal Lash Architect mascara in black and Modelco Brow kit in Dark (before buffing in my concealer hehehe)...

"summery" looks...

so i was absent yesterday because of the irritation on my undereyes....after resting for a day, i'm back to applying eye makeup. (grins) this time, i opted to go for a not-so-loud eye makeup...just so it wont be too obvious that i am wearing makeup despite the irritation hhehehe.... used: Modelco Brow kit in Dark, UDPP, Meow Ideal Eyes in Kept Kitty on the entire lid and on the lower lash lines, Meow Modern Eyes in Tomcat applied on the contour of the eye up to just above the crease, Meow Modern Eyes in Dr. ZhiCATo applied under the browbones, Fasio 3D Mascara in Brown and Shu Uemura pro concealer topped with OM Saffron concealer on the undereyes used: Smashbox Photofinish Light primer, Dreamworld foundation in Freyja then topped with Dreamworld toppings in Butter Creme, Cargo Blush in Molokai and Revlon Lustrous Lipstick in Pink in the Afternoon topped with Mac Gellee in Dewy Jube. I know i didn't blend well the colors on my eyes...they're not even! and i think this is one...

just another pink and purple look...

i was feeling lazy today, so i decided to shy away from a lot of colors and blending and trying out new color-combos so i decided to go with my most fave look: pinks and purples. but this time, i decided to try out the pigments i got from MAC as well as the blush. used: Modelco browkit in Dark, UDPP all over the lids, MAC pigment in Helium applied wet using my home-made mixing medium from lash lines up to the lid just below the crease, Lumiere 3D e/s in Hushed applied on top of MAC Helium up to just below the browbones, MEOW Feliner in Declawed applied using home made mixing medium on the upper and lower lash lines, TBS Lightening Touch concealer applied on the undereyes and topped with OM Saffron Concealer and Maybelline Express Volume Mascara in Brown. used: Smashbox Photofinish Light primer, MUFE Mat Velvet Liquid Foundation in shade 25, MAC blush in Dollymix, Smashbox lip primer on the lips then topped with TFS Lipstick. you might be wondering why i still applied mineral e/s on ...

my MEOW EOTN in neutrals...

Image
for a change, i decided to wear neutrals and just what i expected, some of my officemates stopped and asked if i was feeling okay. arrggghhh, they said my eyes look dull and tired. huh!? oh well, i guess they are just not used to seeing me wearing earth shades (same here!) anyways, it's my first time to try out the eyeshadows i got from Meow and just like any other mmu e/s i've tried, they are highly pigmented and lasted on me the whole night. But was it maybe because i was also wearing UDPP? hmmm...maybe i should try wearing my mmu e/s without it and let's see how long they will last on my uber oily lids. used: MEOW Modern Eyes e/s in Gone with the Kitty applied on the entire lid up to the browbones, MEOW Scandal Eyes e/s in Lana T. applies on the outer-V and above the crease, Modelco brow kit in Dark, Elianto Fake Lash Mascara in Brown and today, i also tried another foundation sample i got from Dreamworld, Astrild in Luna formulation. used: Dreamworld topping in Butter...
