Seafood Feast at Dampa Seafood Grill

Image
Since I cannot indulge in good food at the moment because I am still recovering from the operation, let me just satisfy myself (and you) with the great food that I and Mr. X had during one of our dinner nights back in the sandpit. Dampa Seafood Grill I've been waiting for a chance to try out this newest seafood joint in Dubai since it opened. So when Mr. X asked me one weekend where I want to have dinner after hearing mass, I immediately said, "Dampa!" Mr. X doesn't really like dining out for seafood as he prefers having it at home but since he asked me, he didn't really have a choice.  Hehehe!  I told him I've read a lot of good reviews about the place and besides, what can go wrong when dining in a seafood restaurant? Thanks to WAZE, we didn't have a hard time locating the place. We arrived a few minutes after 6pm and we saw a lot of people already waiting outside to be seated.   Actually, we were really not surprised as the restaurant has beco...

Our Dining Experience at Mo's Dubai...

What do you do when you're tired, feeling restless or stressed?  Before, I go on shopping.  But since that makes me end up being broke or buy stuff which I don't really need, I try not to do that anymore.  I still go on retail therapy at times, but lately, I just indulge myself with good food.  And when I say good food, I mean comfort food! When I was still in Manila, I usually go to Friday's or Chili's.  So when I was given a chance to try Mo's Dubai (thanks, Caramel Group!), known for its wide selection of what we call comfort food, I just had to say Yes.  Besides, it's also a chance to connect with some other bloggers in the region. I rarely go out on a weekend, but I just felt that I need to amp up on my  so-called social life which is by the way already dying. Hahaha! I was told that Mo's is a casual dining restaurant but I can tell it has a fancier vibe to it as soon as I entered the place.  But I never felt intimidated as I wou...

Dining at P.F. Chang's….

One thing that I look forward to weekends is dining out.  I've been doing a lot of cooking lately and like my Mama Wheng, there are days when I could no longer think of what to cook.  If there's something like a writer's block, then I guess there's also such thing as a cook's block!? Ugh, I'm sure you get my point. ^_^ Anyways, even back in Manila, I just love checking out new restaurants.  I've always been adventurous when it comes to food, so I don't really mind doing some sort of trial and error when it comes to my food.  Heck, the same thing happens to most of my cooking. (laughs)   Not unless of course when I'm really starving, stressed and in a bad need of some comfort food.  In such cases, I make sure I go to a restaurant where I had a good experience dining in previously…or to put it simply, where I left with a bulging tummy and a wide grin plastered on my face. So one weekend while at the mall with Mr. X, and when asked wh...

Chowking Breakfast, in Dubai + a bit of emo time...

Today marks my first month of staying here in Dubai, a total of two months of being away from every body and every thing else back in PH.  And yeah, I'm starting to get homesick.  Sniff.  But there are things one has to do, and for now, this is what I need to do...to be with Mr. X.  Things haven't been easy.  Each day I wake up, I look around me and will imagine my place back in Manila.  I think about how I would struggle from getting my lazy ass off the bed so I could start prepping up for work.  And yeah, this ain't easy to say, but I miss working!  I knooww, there were times I would write here complaining how stressful my work is, and how I wanted to get a looong vacation.  I guess, it's really human nature to long for things you no longer have.   There were days I would ask myself if I did the right thing.  Sometimes, I'd say yes...but there are times when I would cry and check available flights going back home. I don't hav...
