last weekend, i woke up early after promising myself that i'll put my recently bought running shoes into use. i woke up around 5 and after half an hour, i was on my way to Bonifacio High Street for my morning jog. i was alone but it didn't stop me from going around the area. it was fun and there was a lot of people running around, most of them are alone like me as well. there was even an exercise class going on at one area, and not minding if someone would recognize me, i participated. ^_^ it was a fun morning, indeed! and another reason why i decided to jog there? this: Mercato Centrale corner of 30th street and 9th Avenue (in front of the Spa BHS) it opens at 6am and closes at 2am every Saturday and Sunday. it's a Fresh/Organic market and the foodies would definitely love it there! after jogging, i went there and had breakfast. i spent almost an hour going around and checking out what they have. i got these: milk tea, chicken wings, couple of cupcakes are not in pho...

i wish i'd stop waking up in the middle of the night salivating over food that i see in my dreams..geesh, i hate myself. i just can't stop eating!!! but thank God for this ready to cook pasta sauces: i still sauteed garlic, onions and 2 cans of spicy tuna though... yummm! i ate like a pig in the wee hours of the morning and hated myself from eating too much right after. help me ladies, how on earth can i stop eating???

just when i stayed inside the house the whole day to keep myself from unnecessary spending...i found myself going gaga over something: i was salivating over Wendys' fries and frosty...i told myself "NO" because 1) it's late and 2) it's FATTENING! I had to divert my attention to something else by watching tv and munching some stuff i have in my ref. but just before midnight, i can no longer contain my cravings: take note that i didn't call for delivery since they don't deliver fries and frosty (and if ever they do, the quality won't be as good), i drove myself in the middle of the night to satisfy myself. yeah, i'm such a pig! have you ever experienced crazy cravings like this?

'twas another lunch break when the foodtrippers striked again. we were all stressed with work, and of course what's the best way to de-stress besides shopping? FOOD ! since we only have a 1-hr break, we decided to just go somewhere near the office (but do we really care if we go on overbreak? LOL). An officemate of ours suggested to try out C2 (Classic Cuisine) at Megamall which serves unique Filipino dishes . i was hesitant at first, since i wanted to try out other cuisines, but what the heck...it is still food. the foodtrippers strike again! and this time, we went to CYMA Restaurant at Shangrila Mall...and yeah, i was so intrigued by Nikki 's food post about Cyma that i insisted on trying it out. busy people during lunch Spinach and Artichoke Fondue, Php350.00 i made sure we ordered this one since according to reviews, this is one of the bestsellers at CYMA. i loooove it! make sure to eat this while the fondue is hot...but be careful not to burn your tastebuds. :) Meatless Moussaka, Php250.00 this has eggplant...but seriously, i hardly tasted it. it's so creamy and literally melts in your mouth, yum! last year, we had this agreement among my friends here in the office that we'd go out weekly to try out restos. our love for food, aside from our common angsts about our work, made us close. at least now, i no longer feel alone when i'm at work.
