Woojoo Master Blender

Do you still remember the first time you used foundation, specifically a liquid foundation? I'm gonna bet you only used your fingers back then.  Or maybe not? Maybe it's just me! Hahahah!   Seriously, I don't remember using any brushes back then. Looking back, I think the only kind of brushes I remember are the ones for the eyes (sponge-tips) and those for blushes.   Ganun na ba ako katanda for me not to remember if uso na ang foundation brushes noon?  But yes, I used to only use my fingers to apply liquid foundation.  I even hated using those round sponges that most parloristas use to apply cake foundation.  The only time I learned how to use brushes for foundation was when I entered makeup school. Then sponges ala beauty blenders came into the picture.  I love using them because they are multipurpose. You can use them with liquids, creams and they give an airbrush finish.  I still prefer to use foundation brushes for some of my f...

Product Review: Stila Double-Ended Blending Sponge...

Image
I am pretty sure this isn't the first time you'd read about blending sponges.  The famous Beauty Blender has been around for years now and a lot of dupes have been  made available at a cheaper price.  I've also tried Beauty Blender and it's a dream to apply liquid/cream foundation using it.  I love how flawless the finish is, that it actually looks like you've been airbrushed.   When I was at Ulta last month, I saw an almost similar blending sponge like Beauty Blender at Stila.  But it's black, and a lot sexier. ^_^ Stila Double-Ended Blending Sponge, $12 Apply makeup like the pros with this soft touch, dual-ended sponge applicator which applies makeup immaculately for a smooth, streak-free finish.   What sets this ingenious sponge apart is that it’s double-ended, with a rounded tip on one end to apply makeup all over the face and neck.   Flip the sponge over for a pointed tip to access hard to reach areas and for precision b...

Product Review: Bobbi Brown Eyelash Curler

Image
Don't you hate it whenever your eyelids get pinched because of your eyelash curler?  I've had my share of such moments too!  Fortunately, my constant practice helped. But for those who haven't mastered the art of eyelash curling, here's one eyelash curler who would make you say "Why only now!?" ^_^   Bobbi Brown Eyelash Curler I love that it comes in metallic black, sleek and sosy! perfect size and shape for those with almond-shaped eyes it covers my entire eye, and I don't have to go back to curl the lashes I've missed!  I also love that it doesn't remove some of eyeliner after using it. curls my lashes easily, and the curl stays on my lashes after wiping my eye area with a wet tissue...see how my lashes are still slightly curled And yes, I don't get pinched at all.  No pulling either! It also comes in a black pouch and two replacement pads. ( see here ) The only thing I don...

Keep your makeup germ-free with Nippon Esthetics Solutions Pro....

I've been doing makeup for other people for almost 4 years now.  If there's one thing you need to make sure of whenever you'd be doing makeup on other people aside from having the skills and confidence, you have to be sure that your stuff ARE ALL CLEAN. Besides, who would want germs on their faces that would eventually lead to skin problems?  I surely don't.   In makeup school, I've learned that it's a MUST to use brushes.  Of course, there are times that it would be better to use your fingers but make sure that they are clean.  That's why it's mandatory to always bring a hand sanitizer or alcohol with you during makeup gigs.  Aside from brushes, you can also use sponges.  But not the ones that you can wash after each use.  Go for disposable sponges. That way, you can be sure that bacteria won't be transferred from one client to another. The same goes for lipgloss wands and even mascaras.  I must admit, I used to be not that particular w...

Image
I'm not a fan of tool belts...why? Because most of the time, they are stiff and  heavy.  I also hate that it tends to look dirty after using for a long time because the makeup stains are just so hard to remove.   But not anymore.  Thanks to Beauty and Minerals for coming up with such a great tool belt, not to mention, GORGEOUS! Beauty and Minerals' Tool Belt in Pink It comes with an extra flap for hygienic purposes.  This is to cover your dear brushes when not in use. lift the cover and tadaaaah! the front side has 20 slots for brushes (you can fit 2 small sized brushes in one slot) and 5 pockets so cute!  maybe next time we can have the label in Black, Sophie?! ^_^ it also has an extra big pocket at the back: you can put a lot of stuff inside, your calling cards, bills, or even some other makeup tools! my dear brushes plus my new tool belt ready for action! unlike other tool belts, this one is...
