on pale pinks and blues...

Image
I just realized why i kept on using FOTDs/EOTDs when in fact, they are supposed to be FOTNs/EOTNs since i work at night. But my day is actually at night time...so what the heck, here's my FOTDs/EOTDs yesterday: and below are taken after my shift (some 9 hours after my makeup application, sorry i no longer have any lipstick on): eyes: Modelco Brow Kit in Dark, Mac Paintpot in Painterly applied all over the lid up to the brow bone, TM e/s in Whisp on the entire lid and brow bone, OM in Musing applied on the lid tracing the eyeball and extended to the outer-V (darn, forgive me on my description...i suck on giving instructions!), L'oreal Lash Architech Mascara in Black, Shu Uemura Pro Concealer applied under the eyes and topped with Meow undereye concealer in frisky chartreux. face: Lumiere Cashmer foundation in Light Medium Neutral applied, Valerie Red Zapper on blemishes, Red Earth blush in Tender Love. lips: Smashbox lip primer, Smashbox lipstick in Sweet topped with MAC gellee...

i chose my family over my papa piolo...

Image
as if! LOL well, its just that a few days ago i was blabbing about winning VIP tickets for the Clear Black Parade and the chance to see my papa again in person after what...hmm 5 or 6 years? yeah, i got to see him years ago at NAIA with Diether Ocampo but i just dunno why i can't even bring myself to approach him and have our picture taken when my mom had her arms all around him and Diether, all smiles and me taking their pictures. Mom took the cam from me after and pushed me to approach Piolo and have our picture, but guess what...i said no. DUMB, STUPID me! waaahhhh...i must admit, i can be crazy and kikay and makulit like hell at times but i can still be shy. Arrghhh... oh well...so when i got an email from sophie that i won VIP passes, i told myself that this time...i gotta have to have my picture taken with my papa piolo. but a day before the event, mom texted me that they will be going to Tagaytay the next day to have lunch at Sonya's Garden and they will be bringing Yvet...

and just when i said i'll be on a "no-shopping" mode...

Image
...an officemate of mine sent me a message if i'm interested to get some Victoria Secrets items. So i asked, "do you have the body sprays?" and she replied, "nope, but you can check out some of their body scrubs." OKAY. for the past two weeks i've been ordering like mad from mineral makeup companies online. if i get an info that this or that mmu company has an ongoing sale, i'll be like "what's their website again?" and will be adding items (mostly e/s) to my shopping cart like crazy. and the next thing i know, i'm getting that darn plastic card out of my wallet. pathetic, yeah...but what the heck, this is my way of de-stressing. other women out there splurge on clothes, bags, shoes and other branded items...while i go gaga over skincare and makeup. but i realized that i've been spending too much lately so i told myself..."this really have to stop, no more going to malls or checking out makeups online for you, jhengky!" an...

my V-day EOTN/FOTN using JOPPA minerals and Skinfood Gingko Blemish Balm...

Image
again, using my recently faved Joppa Minerals e/s, here's my eotd for Valentines Day: used: Joppa Minerals e/s in Majestic on the inner lids, Joppa Minerals e/s in Hazel on the outer lids, outer-V and a bit on the crease, Modelco Brow Kit, 3D Fasio Mascara in Brown, Artdeco e/s in shade #44 under the brow bones for highlight and Shu Uemura Mark Concealer in 7YR Medium Light on the undereyes topped with OM Saffron Concealer used : Skinfood Gingko Blemish Balm in Shade #1 set with MAC Blot Powder in Medium, Red Earth blush in Tender Love, BE Bisque for spot-concealing and Smashbox lipstick in Sweet topped with Mac gellee in Dewy Jube as for the blemish balm which i've used as a foundation, can say that it has a smooth texture, can easily be applied and coverage is good, though i still had to use a separate concealer for my undereyes and blemishes. But yes, i do agree with the others who say that it gives out a healthy glow. It actually reminds me of my Laura Mercier tinted mois...

how to spend valentines day without a date?

Image
what could be worse than working on a graveyard shift and you have no eff-ing date!? oh well...i can't remember a single valentines day in my life when i got to celebrate it like everybody else does. you know, candlelight dinners, a romantic walk in the park holding hands with somebody, stargazing, or a surprise dinner prepared by your partner...the works! sad to say, it's just like an ordinary day for me....but unlike any other ordinary days, this is one day when you get stares from people when they see you dining out or watching a movie or just being alone. it's like you have this disease or something that makes you different from the others and it's as if they would want to give you a pat on the back and say "you poor thing..." hehehe..don't take me wrong. i am not being bitter...i actually got used to it already. so today, after my shift (waited for a few more hours, actually) i went to Smart Wireless Center with Odette to pay for my internet subscript...

my EOTN/FOTN using joppa and taylormade minerals...

Image
it's been a while since i got my joppa minerals e/s as well my sample foundies from Taylormade but i haven't got the chance to try them...until today. used: Modelco Brow Kit in Dark, Joppa e/s in Kayla as base applied wet from the lash line up to brow bone, Joppa e/s in Rainforest applied wet from lash line up to the crease and outer-V, Loreal Lash Architect Mascara in Black, Penshoppe eyeliner applied on the lower lash lines. used: Smashbox Photofinish Light as primer, Taylormade foundation in Ophelia, TFS Black Label Blusher in Pink, Smashbox lipstick in Sweet, OM Yellow Saffron Concealer for the undereyes and BE Concealer in Bisque for my blemishes (argggh!) I love the texture of Joppa Minerals. Unlike other mmu e/s, i didn't have a hard time applying them wet. Annielise taught me another way to "foil" eye pigments and that is to wipe my brush with a wet wipe before getting some pigments. With the other mmu pigments, i find it hard to apply them wet...they st...
