Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura launch in Manila....

And the most awaited, and the cutest Shu Uemura collection to date has finally arrived in Manila...

Shu Uemura x Karl Lagerfeld Collection for Holiday 2012!

Karl has been using Shu Uemura eyeshadows to draw his sketches and had always been fascinated with the colors of the brand, which he says is actually better than pastels.

Inspired by Shu Uemura products, Japanese traditional culture and contemporary art, Lagerfeld created Mon Shu (my dear, in French) -- a girl with a black bob, red eyes and dressed much like Lagerfeld himself.

Weeks ago, the collaboration has been officially launched at UMU Japanese Restaurant at Dusit Hotel in Makati.

Mon Shu is said to bring good luck, and as soon as I heard that, I immediately wished that we all get to bring home a Mon Shu doll!

Nina and Karen welcomed all the guests and gave a short introduction of the collection. 

The most exciting part was when two of Shu Uemura's internationally accredited makeup artists, John Pagaduan and Patrick Alcober did a live demo on real-life Mon Shu girls:

Nadia Suzanne Bautista, Retail Manager for Shu Uemura, then presented to us the collection.

The full collection has 2 eyeshadow palettes, 4 lipsticks,  a painting liner, 3 nail polishes,  a tsuya skin uv under base mousse, an eyelash curler, 2 false eyelashes, a mini brush set, cleansing oil and a mini makeup box.

The collection is officially available in stores starting last October 20.  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go so I'm not sure what's still available (or if there's stuff left pa!) Hopefully, I can still get hold of the Bordeaux palette...I want it for Christmas!
