Okay, before somebody kills me for killing Barney, let me show you probably one of the boldest lip color that I have to date:

(excuse the red marks on my face...and don't get me started with my lady mustache!)

I'm wearing here Revlon's Colorburst Matte Balm in Shameless which I've been dying to have since the first time I saw a swatch online. I've waited for months before I finally got my hands on it because unfortunately, product launches are a bit (such an understatement, really) delayed here in the UAE. This particular line from Revlon has been out in PH early this year while it just got released here a week ago.  

Anyways, I got this lippie while on vacation in PH.  I saw these lippies at Watsons in SM Baguio and though I wanted to get more, the remaining shades they have are those I'm not really excited about.  I want Unapologetic, Showy, Complex and Elusive but they were all sold out. GAH!

Good thing Shameless is still available.  But guess what, it was their last piece!  

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm

The packaging reminds me of their Just Bitten Balm Stains. It's retractable, so no need to worry about keeping a sharpener for this chubby crayon. The packaging also matches the actual shade, so no need for you to pop the cover to check out the color. It gives an amazing burst of moisture and color in one swipe! Despite that, it doesn't feel heavy on the lips.  I love their Colorburst lipsticks, but I think I love this line more.

I don't usually go for bold lip colors, but it's love at first sight with this baby!  I was actually not so sure about it when I was just seeing swatches of it online, but when I finally saw it in person, I just knew I NEED to have it.

Shameless is a deep purple with pink undertones which can be quite intimidating when worn.  I tried it before buying it and got the approval of my mom and my sister. They say it suits my short hair too!  It does make me look more mataray (snobbish) but I really like it.  I mean, the lippie...not being snobbish. Haha!

To give your lips the spotlight when you are wearing this, keep the rest of your colour palette neutral.  Pair this with a sexy cat-eye and say "MEOW" while you're at it. (laughs) Or go smokey! Whatever rocks your boat, baby.

It says matte, but it doesn't feel matte at all to me. It's moisturizing and applies like butter on the lips.  It was a bit streaky at first swipe, but a few more swipes and you have a totally opaque coverage. It looks satiny at first, but after a few minutes  it dries off to a velvety-matte finish. It feels so light you'd actually forget you have something on.  

I just notice that the lines on my lips are more pronounced when wearing this. So what I do is I apply a lip balm first, or a lip primer and it looks a lot better. But with or without, I am not complaining as this looks really good on me.  Or at least I think it is!

Lasting power is not the best, but not too bad either. It can stay for a good 2-3hrs without meal, fades a bit and is not transfer-proof.  But I don't really mind. I love re-applying because of the minty scent and feel.  It just perks me up!

I got this for Php575 back home and SRP here in UAE is AED 61.  I would love to have more shades but I think we only have 5 shades available here.  (Sob.)
