have celebrated my 18th...yes, 18th birthday last month.

you want proof that I did celebrate my debut last May 5? okay, here it is:
see, that's me wearing a debutante gown! LOL.
Kidding! It was my birthday, but not my 18th, but 25th! (violent reactions are STILL not welcome!) LOL. And yes, I wore a gown but it's for a Stacruzan. I am not sure if all of you are aware what a Stacruzan is, but I was actually harassed by my dear mom to be one of her sagalas. And it was my first time! I was supposed to be the Reyna Elena but I chickened out! LOL. I was scared and embarrassed just by thinking that I'll be walking around our town wearing a gown and having to smile all the time. Good thing I was with my dear friends and of course my family, who all patiently walked with me and made sure that I am comfortable during the entire procession. It was really a birthday to remember...
And so, I initially planned of doing a small giveaway for my birthday, but we were all too busy for the upcoming celebrations (stacruzan + bday) then so I decided to hold off the idea for the meantime. And now, almost 2 months after, (my bad!) I finally decided to push thru with the idea. But because I've been hearing a lot of negative things about people joining giveaways, I decided to have this as a contest instead. At least I would know that those who will be joining would be exerting a bit more effort to win.

Now, here's how to win one of the 2 sets of goodies:
1. Create a makeup look using the colors of either the Sweet & Smokey or Crazy Colour palette. You don't need to use the exact colors that can be found on either of the palettes, but the idea is to come up with an FOTD/EOTD that's either bridal, prom or office look (Sweet & Smokey) or clubbing, avant garde or anything that has vibrant colors (Crazy Colour).
You can submit an entry for both sets but remember that you can only submit one look for each. For those who owns a blog, submit your entry by providing me with the link of your blog post on my comments box. For those who doesn't have a blog (I'm assuming that you have an FB account), post your entry on you FB page, make it public and provide me the link of your FB page.
2. Add me as a friend in Facebook or like my FB page, follow me on Twitter (@iamsutil) and Instagram (iambrigitte) if you haven't done so. So yes, that means you are required to have an FB account. If you don't have Twitter and/or Instagram, it's time to create both now. Kidding! Twitter and Instagram are not much of a requirement. But if you do, please follow me and don't forget to give me your links/usernames.

4. Write a short explanation on the Comments box as to why you chose to win the Sweet & Smokey/Crazy Colour palette and why you decided to go for your submitted look. Example: I chose to come up with a colorful FOTD/EOTD and win the Crazy Colour palette because I love wearing vibrant colors.

I would love to win this, but I really have no talent in makeup so I'll just leave the chance to the others. Your modern zagala gown is very pretty, inferr! I've never been part of the Santacruzan, because I'd always refuse. I was a tomboy growing up, but then I got too old for Santacruzan when I realized I was a girl... Hahaha!

I chose to share to you and your readers my usual office/work makeup. Being an elementary teacher hinders me to wear loud and colorful eye makeup so I stick with the neutrals. Some may find neutrals boring, but I love how elegant-looking it is. I just play with bold lipstick shades in case my day needs some pop of color. :) I want to win the Beauty Pro Cosmetics Sweet & Smokey Palette because I am dreaming about it for the longest time and I know that it will make me more creative in mixing and matching neutral colors that will sure look awesome for everyday teaching job! :)

I want to try these crazy colors because they are something new to me. It's not the usual make-up you can wear everyday. It is used for fashion shows, clubbing and avant grade make-up looks. I tried on pulling off this look during our modelling class and it looks good on me.
I'm not that artistic but I appreciate the work of art. Being a biologist, my heart is close to nature that's why I decide to try this look. It is like the clash of water and fire. The colors I used represent the two elements which are completely opposite.
I hope I can still improve my skills on applying make-up

For my FOTD / EOTD, I want to include a "shock" factor so I combined two colors that are rarely used together - green and purple. It's basically eyeshadow COLOR BLOCKING ; p

Though neutral shades are a staple, I am enjoying the bright and colorful ones more. Maybe it's just a phase or my real preference but the more vibrant my eyes are, the more I feel better. Give me the crazy colour and I will force my 88 palettes an early retirement. :)

I chose a dramtic bridal look because I want to show that dark neutrals are not just about smokey eyes. I just smudged the liner to make the eyes more defined without looking too harsh. MAC So Scarlet was used on the lips to balance out the neutrals and make the look more elegant. Neutrals are my staple... I don't think I can ever get enough of them!

I chose this look because I'm only starting to explore these kinds of looks, after a lot of encouragement from one of my friends. The "stars" of this look are UD Flash and Painkiller. Gemstones and glitter lashes makes the entire look appear as enchanting.
Surprisingly, I'm starting to love it! I just don't think I can do more, because these are the only bright colors that I've got! Now, my ex-88 palette is a different story.

This is the only vibrant color I got from my palettes. I would like to win the Beauty Pro Crazy Color Palette because I want to play with colors. I usually join giveaways but this will be the first time I'll join a contest.. for makeup's sake. :) Anyway, I would really want to win the Crazy Color palette because the colors are simply lovely. And I know it won't disappoint me in terms of pigmentation. I like my 88 palette but the bright colors that I love using won't register well in photos. So I'm taking my chances on this one.

I decided to do a smokey eye look and win the sweet and smokey palette because I love doing makeups that are classy and enhances one's beauty.I have been eyeing the S&S palette ever since it came out but since I just graduated,it's out of my budget.I believe that beauty should not cover up one's face but enhances one's already beautiful feature and I feel that I can do that using the sweet and smokey palette. I decided to try making up the two looks... One bridal(Bridesmaid look) and One Avant Garde Clubbing look... Hopefully you would like them. :) I dont have too much make up, so I had to make do with what I have, coz my bf doesn't allow me to buy too much because he said that he likes me even without makeup on... (sweet!)
For the Bridal look, actually this is not for a bride but a bridesmaid, I always do this look when I attend weddings (always the bridesmaid but never the bride...huhu), I love this look because I think it enhances my features and makes me look glowing and fresh but not too over the top as to overstage the bride. :) I just used different shades of brown, and used a white shimmer pencil to line my water line, I also used falsies coz my real lashes are sooooo short. I tried to just enhance my features, nothing too loud but not too drab and boring. :)Here's the link to the album...

For the Avant Garde Clubbing look, at first I wanted to do just a simple Smokey silver eye look but I have heavy "hooded" eyes which make it really difficult to create such a look because everytime I put on any eyeshadow on my lid it instantly disappears once I open my eyes...huhu This is actually my first time to try doing one.
