Benefit Cosmetics' Fakeup Concealer Bloggers Launch...

A few weeks ago, I got an invite to attend the launch of Benefit's newest and most awaited product, the Fakeup Concealer.  I heard about this product months ago and have been waiting for it since then. Why the excitement, you ask?  Well, unlike other concealers, Benefit Fake Up Hydrating Concealer is a two-in-one product.  It has a hydrating shell of moisturizing balm with skin smoothing and plumping ingredients such as Vitamin E (prevents aging) and Apple Seed Extract (helps brighten skin) and it's also has a concealer in the center to hide pigmentation.  

In short, it's a skincare + makeup product in one.  

Yay, for multipurpose products!

Our friends from Benefit PH prepared a short, but very entertaining skit to introduce the product.  

It started with Detective RJ leading the case of the missing Fake Up concealer.  They have two suspects: 1) Frenchie, the kikay french maid who's obsessed with her dark circles and 2) Imma Dry, the rich lady who loves drinking wine and always complaining about the dryness under her eyes

Professor in Pink (Alyanna), told us more details about the product.  She says that Fakeup is a hydrating crease control concealer that keeps the skin under the eyes hydrated for up to 6 hours.  It instantly hides dark circles, smoothens the skin and diffuses light.  

In here, Professor Pink teaches us how to create the ultimate concoction for the undereyes using High Beam, Ohh La Lift, It's Potent eye cream and the Fakeup concealer.

It's Potent eye cream + Ohh La Lift + High Beam + Fakeup Concealer = Great undereye concealer for a lifted, hydrated look that will stay on for hours!

Aside from launching the Fakeup Concealer, they also presented to us the new and upcoming products for this year:

I love their Porefessional primer, but I bet I'm gonna love this new Porefessional in powder form more!

I'm not into highlighters but this upcoming Box O Powder in Rockateur is something I would definitely get my hands on once it becomes available in January 2014.

It's Detective RJ!  He can no longer contain himself when he saw it in action.  Well, we can't blame him. Considering how good the product is, I might just steal it too!

New Products from K-Palette...

Technically, there's not so new anymore since I got them almost a month ago. But just in case you don't know yet, K-Palette, one of the best products in Japan that has been gaining popularity also here in the Philippines, came up with these new items that are worth checking out:

K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner 

(Improved Formulation)

Ask me to name the best eyeliner for me and I would say "K-Palette" without blinking.  It's one of the makeup products that I can't live without (you can check out my review here).  

With the improved formulation, it has a thicker and longer-lasting formulation that dries up easily and doesn't smudge.  Wow, the original formulation lasts long already, how much more this one!?  I noticed that the formulation is a lot pigmented too!

Now, not everyone likes felt-tip liners.  Some of us would still prefer eye pencils, as it provides them better control and it looks more natural.  Well, good news...K-Palette now has eye pencils!

K-Palette Real Lasting Eyepencil

My love for lining my eyes started with eye pencils, but since I discovered how a lot easier it is to use liquid liners, I switched.  I hate the tugging that comes with using most of the eye pencils I've tried, and the fact that it takes me a lot longer than when I'm using a liquid liner.  I want the same pigmentation that I get when I'm using liquid liners, but the fact that I can't use them on my waterline is something that still makes me long for the good 'ole eye pencils. 

And so, these eye pencils from K-palette is really heaven-sent!

Also available in shades Deep Brown and Super Black, these eyepencils are cheaper by a hundred bucks (Php795).  They are very pigmented, and well, also waterproof and smudgeproof. 

K-Palette 1 Day Lash Perm Volume Curl Mascara

For some reason, the K-Palette 1 Day Lash Perm Long Curl Mascara didn't work for me.  It weighs down my curls and it's the one thing I ultimately hate in a mascara.  So when I got this package and saw this new version of the 1 Day Lash Perm, I was like "Oh no, not again!"  

But then I realized, I spoke too soon.  This baby is my current favorite and have been using it ever since I discovered how good it is.  It keeps my lashes curled and luscious-looking.  A colleague even asked if I'm wearing falsies.  

It is priced at Php895, slightly more expensive than the other brands of mascara I'm using, but I don't mind.  It's really good and I can't wait to post my full review about it soon.

ANNY Nail Polish in Woman in Red...

To all those who love to collect nail polishes might want to check out this new brand in town, ANNY.  Created in Los Angeles, California, the brand draws inspiration from three cities that are known in their influence when it comes to style and what's "IN" : Miami for its unique, zesty approach to summer wear, New York for its high fashion and LA for its glamorous, red-carpet appeal.

I got lucky and was sent a sample of their polish in shade Woman in Red:

It's the kind of red that can surely make your tips look sexy.  It's a classic bright red, the type that sort of reminds me of what the stars wear in a red-carpet event. 

As you can see, it's so glossy even without a shiny top coat.  It's pigmented, a single coat is already enough for an opaque finish.  Applicator brush is flat and wide enough for easy application. Dries fast too!

The polish lasts me 2-3 days before it starts chipping.  Fair enough, given that I type a lot and I do house chores too.   I notice a tinge of yellow on my nails when I removed it, so it's better to use a base coat first.  I'm not sure if it's gonna be the same with their other shades as I only have this shade.  Anyhoo, it's still advisable to use a base coat prior to wearing any colored polish, or any polish for that matter.

Packaged in a cute, sleek packaging, this baby is great for travel.  No need for a brush, just use you fingers to apply. It goes on smoothly, and unlike other cheek tints of the same formulation, it doesn't sink into the pores.  It stays on top of your foundation (just make sure you've set it properly) giving you a that healthy flush.  To apply, I swipe it on my fingers and dab onto my cheeks, then set it again by a light dusting of powder.  

Creamy Matte Lip Color in Heart

Now this is my fave.  You know me, I am not a fan of red lips but I must say, this baby's created for me!  I've been wearing it since I got it and people have been complimenting me for it.  Not my usual look, as they say, but it suits me.  Of course, I wear this with a toned-down eye makeup for a day look.  It's matte, but it doesn't my lips and it's super pigmented.  I apply it around 9am and it still looks good even after a cup of coffee and lunch.
