Something New from Revlon...

Actually, these aren't so new anymore for it's already been a month already since I got them.

Colorstay Aqua Mineral foundation, Colorburst Lipgloss and Custom Eyes mascara

I got the chance to try the Aqua mineral foundation during the Holy Week since mom has one, but I only swatched it on my hand since I was still peeling (like crazy) that time from my Obagi Blue Peel treatment. I've been curious since then because of it's cooling sensation. I think it's a great foundation to use most especially during this (SUPER) hot season.

I have the Colorburst lipsticks and in as much as I love them, I'm not really into lipsticks. I still prefer glosses or balms, so I was just so glad to know that Revlon came out with the lipgloss version of their Colorburst lipsticks.

Being a mascara addict that I am, I confess that I have a number of mascaras. I have lengthening, volumizing, waterproof, smudgeproof, etc. To achieve two great results in one mascara is one great deal, right? Revlon now has Custom Eyes mascara that gives length and drama in just one simple click. Interesting, huh!?

i've been using these babies for a time and i'll post my reviews soon.
watch out for it!

a birthday wish came true...

remember my birthday wish list last month?
fortunately, one of them came true!

my new toy:

my cool 32GB WIFI + 3G Ipad 2

had to make sure it won't get scratched!

i bought a pink Smartcover for it but I can't stand not having a back cover when it's attached, so I opted for a screen protector and a jelly-type back cover
(OC much?)

i got it days before my birthday.
actually, on the very same day it was launched here in Phils!

and this I got after my birthday, to supposedly match my Ipad that comes with the pink Smartcover:

oh yeah, i don't love PINK!

i almost got myself that Oakley shades, but unfortunately they don't have the color i want.
whew!

i love my new toy. if only i had been more vocal, i think i should've gotten that MBP instead!
but there's still Christmas anyway

Elizabeth Arden Pretty Hot Eau de Parfum..

* Elizabeth Arden launched the new fragrance Pretty Hot as a sequel to the original Pretty perfume from 2009. Pretty Hot, as its predecessor, is signed by Givaudan perfumer Claude Dir, who was utterly inspired by Belle de Nuit, a flower that blooms and develops in hot summer nights under the moonlight. Its fiery petals and captivating aroma are embodied in this mystical, intense, hot and seductive fragrance.

(*fragrantica.com)

Pretty Hot is hypnotic, sexy and feminine just like tropical flowers, juicy red fruits and exotic spices.

Php3300 - 50ml
Php4200 - 100ml

I've been an avid fan of Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea for years now. It never fails to uplift my mood whenever i use it and it's my "day scent" on most days while Pretty Hot is for sexy summer evenings.

I tried Pretty and it's also nice, probably a lot more suited for girly-girls.
I prefer Pretty Hot though, perfect for sensual and (a bit) naughty girls like yours truly!

Something New: Sunsilk Weather Defense

I am not totally sure if this is new or not, but it's something new to me when I dropped by Watsons last week:

Sunsilk Weather Defense

Shampoo and Conditioner

unlike other conditioners, this one specifically says "Do not apply on scalp."

Shield and Shine serum and Shield and Frizz Control Light cream

I apply the serum on my hair (not on scalp), mostly on the lower part, wrap my hair with a towel and leave it like that while i do my makeup. I then dry my hair in front of an electric fan (sometimes I also use a hair iron) and apply a bit of the light cream.

it's not heavy, and doesn't make my hair look and feel oily. i love the scent too! i find myself reaching out for this in the shower more often. and it really does help in making hair look polished for a longer time as if you've just washed and styled your hair.

i wish it comes with some sort of weekly hair treatment, though.

Product Review: Obagi Nuderm Healthy Skin Protection SPF35

I've always been cautious when it comes to applying sunblock on my face. Most of the facial sunblocks I've used in the past made me breakout or just made my already-oily face a LOT MORE oily. One sunblock that I love is the Obagi Sunfader, it contains hydroquinone and really helps in getting rid of those nasty sunspots and other blemishes. I've been a loyal user for more than 2years, and that's so unusual of me.

After my Obagi Blue Peel treatment more than a month ago, my derma told me not to use anything else on my face except for a mild cleanser and sunblock. No makeup, no whitening stuff...just wash face with a cleanser and apply sunblock during daytime until my skin totally heals.

And for more than a week, I only used Obagi Foaming Gel wash and the Obagi Healthy Skin Protection SPF35
(see, i can be obedient too!)

OBAGI Healthy Skin Protection SPF35

A sunscreen with 9% micronized zinc oxide and 7.5% octinoxate that protects the newer, healthier skin created by your skin transformation

I admit, I've been ignoring this sunblock that I often get as a freebie whenever I order my Obagi Nuderm stuff online. I prefer the Sunfader (just because it also has bleaching properties) so I just give this away to my friends.

and yeah, I was just so wrong!

a little goes a long way

leaves a white cast but would blend seamlessly after a while

what i love:

it's non-sticky
no weird chemical scent
doesn't break me out or cause any allergies that i usually get from other sunblocks
moisturizing but doesn't feel heavy on the skin
consistency is just right, easy to apply and blend
has a brightening effect and leaves skin with a healthy glow
serves as a good makeup base

yours truly, 10days after my Obagi Blue Peel treatment

awooooo!
^_^
(believe me, that whitish cast goes away)

what i hate:

the price (Php1200 for 30ml tube, Php3520 for 90ml). but the small tube would last 2-3mos if used everyday so, i guess it's still okay
might highlight dry patches, i've used this while I was on the peeling stage and I seriously looked terrible!

I really love this sunblock and until now, I still want to kick myself for giving them away before. On days that I don't have to wear makeup, I just use this and it leaves my skin looking healthy and almost matte. I wish to get rid of all my skin blemishes and be totally flawless, and get away with just wearing this.

and yeah, I am buying a bigger tube soon!
