Swatches of Happy Skin Cosmetics Holiday 2015 Collection

Image
I'm sure that by now you already know that Happy Skin has finally opened their first standalone store. It's located near the entrance of Rustan's in Glorietta 3.  Also, they have released their Holiday 2015 Collection called Read My Lips. Yes my loves, it's all about giving our puckers a whole lot of love. Well, the brand is most well-known for their lippies in the first place, so why not!?  This time, the lippies are packaged in hardbound "books" which you can recycle and use to store your abubots.     They have release a total of 4 books, but I skipped the How To Conquer The World because I already have Hear Me Roar and Royal Treatment lip lacquers.  To check swatches, please click here .   I initially thought of skipping the other new shades because 1) I'm not due to receive another box from PH (My Mom/Aunt sends me a package with all the stuff I get from our PR friends back home and some stuff that I use and cannot find here) and 2) I have to...

Happy Skin Power Pout Lip Lacquers and Moisturizing Matte Lippies: Complete Swatches

Image
And because I just can't sit around and wait for the new items from Happy Skin to become available on counters on August 10, I went ahead and ordered from Zalora. They are selling all the new items from Happy Skin starting from August 1 until 9, so if you can't wait like me, order them now at Zalora and get first dibs.   (wink) Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Power Pout Lip Lacquers , Php699 each Hear Me Roar - Royal Treatment - Strong and Sexy Hear Me Roar A bright, red-orange lip color for those who want to flaunt bold lips but are still too shy to go all-red.  It definitely brightens up the face and will suit those with fair skin tones. Keri din naman for those with darker skin tones. Just like what they say, nasa pagdadala yan. Tomo!?

Something New: Happy Skin Power Pout Lip Lacquer and New Shades of Moisturizing Matte Lippies

Image
It was just 2 months ago when Happy Skin Cosmetics came up with their editorial-worthy Moisturizing Matte Lippies in collaboration with Preview Magazine.  The lippies are such a hit, even my friends back in the UAE have been asking friends from PH buy for them.  In my case, those lippies are up there on the top of my priority items to buy. The lippies are the perfect nude and deep red for me. And would you believe I've been wearing Hot Stuff almost everyday!?  Nakakaloka, that's how I love that lippie. And yes, like what I've mentioned in my post, Too Cool knocked off MAC Peachstock as the #1 nude lippie in my book. Now, Happy Skin Cosmetics is back to grant the beauty wishes of women yet again. This time, with more shades of their Moisturizing Matte Lippies PLUS their new lip product with a stunning high-shine finish without the heavy feel, the Power Pout Lip Lacquers! Power Pout Lip Lacquers and Moisturizing Matte Lippies New shades of Moisturizing M...

Happy Skin X Preview Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Matte Lippies in Too Cool and Hot Stuff

Image
I know these lippies have been out for almost two months now, but what the heck, I still want to share my own thoughts about it.  When I got back here in PH, these lippies are the first ones that I looked for when we went to the mall. These are limited editions and after seeing swatches online, I just knew I had to get my hands on them.    Preview X Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippies  Preview Magazine collaborated with Happy Skin Cosmetics to come up with these editorial-worthy, limited-edition matte lippies for their 20th Anniversary.  I'd say editorial-worthy because the shades aren't really for everyday use (and for the faint-hearted, LOL!)  But if you don't give a damn on what people would think about you on why you are wearing attention-grabbing lip colors such as these, then go ahead.  Kebs sa mga pamatay na titig!  Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Matte Lipase  in Too Cool and H...

A Miracle In A Tube: Happyskin Eye Need A Miracle Corrector

Image
I don't think it would come as a surprise if I tell you that Happyskin is slowly invading my makeup kit.  The number of products that I use from that brand is growing each time they would come up with new releases.  Do I regret it? Not at all. They are affordable, they work great, they look good on most skin tones and they are also infused with ingredients that care for the skin.  Makeup + skincare in one?  Oh yes! Today,  I wanna share with you one of their products that I don't think I can live without...their Eye Need A Miracle Corrector.  I've been using it since the day I got it and I haven't reached out since then to my Benefit Erase Paste which I've been using for the longest time. Oh well, it's really hard to be loyal to a makeup product when you come across something that works as good, if not better, at a cheaper cost. So please, don't judge me! (wink) Happy Skin Eye Need A Miracle Corrector (Php 799) This baby is not...

Happy Skin Eye Am The One Mascara

Image
And so I'm back after almost a 2-week hiatus.  I've still been active on Instagram though, posting bits of what I was up to for the past two weeks.  So yes, I wasn't totally absent. ^_^ Now that I am back, I have here a review of one of Happy Skin's newest product, their Eye Am The One Mascara, which they also claim to be a Holy Grail Mascara.  So is it really an HG material?  Let's see... Happy Skin Eye Am The One Mascara (Php 899) It promises thicker and longer lashes with a curl that will never droop.  It has a MAXIMEYES fibre brush that maximises the product load and at the same time lifts and separates the lashes.  It is smudge-proof, sweat-proof, sebum-proof, tear-proof and is also water-resistant. The packaging is quite simple and lightweight.  I love how they made the text "Eye Am The One" on the tube bigger than the rest, as it sort of gives you that commanding tone to pick it up among your other m...

Happy Skin Shut Up And Kiss Me StyLIZed Collection

Image
It was February of last year when Happy Skin first collaborated with a Pinay celebrity to come up with a limited edition lippie shade. It was then with Ms. Kris Aquino and if you know Kris (doesn't need to be personally, though), you'd know her famous choice of lipcolor is pink. It was called Valentine Kiss , and it's the perfect shade of pink: fierce but feminine, attention-grabbing but still classy. Fast forward to this year, around the same month as of last year, Happy Skin had another collaboration. O di ba, akala ninyo brands lang like MAC ang may collab ha! Mali kayo dyan! Hehehe.  This time, it's with Ms. Liz Uy, a Pinay celebrity stylist and fashion editor.  After months of working closely together, the lovely Liz and our equally lovely ladies behind Happy Skin came up with not one, but three must-have lippie shades.   Bongga! The collection is called StyLIZed and consists of three lippie shades that each woman should hav...

Happy Skin Beauty in Bloom Summer 2015 Collection

Image
It feels like it was just yesterday when Happy Skin launched their Summer Collection for 2014 .  I was back home when they held the event so I made sure I attended it. Gosh, I wouldn't miss it for the world!  And now, just a few days ago, they launched their Summer Collection for 2015...and it's called Happy Skin Beauty in Bloom.  Too bad I wasn't able to attend it, but the beautiful people behind the brand made sure I won't be missing out.   Happy Skin Beauty in Bloom Summer 2015 Collection Just like what I captioned when I posted a similar photo on my Instagram, "If this won't make your heart skip a beat, I don't know what else will..." The collection is inde ed breathtaking.   Pang-world class!  And well, can I just say I am proud to say that I am the first one here in the UAE to get my hands on this collection?  #yabangngkontimode ^_^ Inggit much?  Hahahaha! Then hayaan ninyo akong inggitin pa kayo.  Read on to see...

Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Lip & Cheek Mousse...

Image
My heart got broken the other day.  I wasn't able to hold back my tears that I ended up crying while waiting for a cab going home. I was so hurt and disappointed that when I got home, I cried my heart out. I was asking God, "Why me?" and "Why do you have to let me feel this way?" I know a lot of people have it worse but at that point, all I know is that I'm hurt and that I cannot take another disappointment in my life. I cried myself to sleep which is actually a good thing because sleep makes me feel a lot better. I woke up hours later still feeling sad but a bit more calm. I'm still hurting and though I can't promise that I'd stop hurting, I will try my best to do something about this situation that I am in now.  I really hope things will get better. If not, I just hope I'd be able to accept it without being hard on myself. Anyway, I'd talk about it maybe soon (or maybe not) but for now, let's talk about something that makes me fo...

Happy Skin All Eyes on Hue Eyeshadow Palette

Image
Whoa, where did our January go!?  We're on our second month of the year, my loves and it's the love month!  Some of us might be excited with the upcoming Valentines Day, but not me. I dunno…maybe because I never had a "proper" V-day. And when I say proper, I meant candlelight dinner with a bouquet of flowers, walking holding hands in the park after…you know, all that stuff.   Bitter ang peg ? Not really. It's just that I have never experienced that.  Mr. X is not into such things.  He is, but not during V-days. We opt to stay at home, call for delivery or if ever we go out, we just watch a movie and/or have dinner in a casual restaurant.  So yeah, I guess my  bonggang V-day is yet to come. Until that, I'd remain unexcited for it.   What I'm trying to say is, if you're friends with my hubs, please let him know my sentiments.  (laughs) Anyway for today, let me share with you my current favourite toy…something I reach out for on...

More Happyskin Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippies...

Image
I am not really into lippies, but if there's one brand that will never fail to make me hold my breath whenever they come up with new shades, it has got to be Happy Skin .  To date, their Shut Up & Kiss Me lippies (most especially The Morning After) are still among my favorites.  They apply like a dream, have an amazing pigmentation and never dries up my lips.    I've posted swatches of the first Happy Skin lippies I got my hands on months ago (check it out here ) and today, I'd be showing you their new shades available. Actually, they aren't really new because they have been out for months already. I knowww, I am so darn late. ^_^          Honeymoon Glow - Just Say Yes - Playing Footsie

Product Review: Happy Skin Eye Am Here To Stay Gel Pencil Eyeliner...

Image
If you don't wear eyeshadows, the next best thing to bring life to your eyes are eyeliners.  There's a lot of eyeliners available but I'm sure you'd agree that it's hard to find one which you can depend on: an eyeliner that won't budge, smudge or make you end up looking like a panda. I've already tried a lot of eyeliners in the past and though I still prefer the liquid ones (for my lash lines), here's my new favorite when it comes to gel eyeliners in pencil form: Happy Skin Eye Am Here To Stay 24H Gel Pencil Eyeliner (Php 499) Shades: Peppermint, Perfect Black and Chic Brown I was able to get two of the three shades available during the Happy Skin Summer Collection launch and I must admit, among all the items that I got, these eyeliners made me excited the most. I really wish I've discovered the greatness of eyeliners earlier, like way back in college.  Now, it's one of the staples in my makeup kit. Aside from bein...

Product Review: Happy Skin Make a Clean Sweep...

Image
When it comes to removing my makeup, the  Ponds Cold Cream is still my all-time favourite.  Make me choose between that and say, the Dermalogica Pre-cleanse (which I like too and is currently my favourite cleansing oil), I'll still choose Ponds. It's old school, I know.  But it does the job of taking off my makeup even the waterproof ones, and it feels like I'm giving myself a mini-facial whenever I use it.   When I don't have much time to double-cleanse, or if I am on the go and I don't have water for rinsing, I use makeup wipes. I've tried a lot and I have a few favourites ( Purederm , Neutrogena and Johnsons ).  I've also tried Bioderma in the past and I love how it looks and feel like water, and yet, does an amazing job in taking all my makeup off…yes, even the waterproof stuff.  And the most amazing part is, there's no need to rinse with water!   There's also Bifesta, but I never got to try that so ...

My New Eyebrow Hero: Happy Skin Eye Love View...

Image
When  Happyskin Cosmetics  launched their first batch of products last year, I hoped that they come up with eyebrow makeup too. I think they might have heard my thoughts because fast forward summer of this year, they came up with one! I love how  they make me feel so important! Haha, kiddin!  I sure bet they just know that a lot of women nowadays are obsessed with having beautifully drawn eyebrows.  Gone are the days when girls with almost non-existent  brows (like me!) will turn to brow tattoos or simply put up with having none.  Going back to the brand's eyebrow product, it absolutely surpassed all my expectations!  For years now, I've been loyal to  K-Palette  but this baby simply makes me go astray whenever it's time for me to draw my brows.  My loves, meet my new eyebrow hero: Happy Skin Eye Love View Double Duty Eyebrow Duo (Php799) Don't you just love how this brand give their products a name? ^_^ This beauty ...

Happy Skin Turn Up The Heat Summer Collection: Swatches + Review….

Image
I have a confession to make…I used to hate summer.  I didn't really like the outdoors.  And I'd gladly bury myself in blanket or layers of clothing during the cold season rather than go basking under the sun and getting a tan.   Oh well, I was that boring! But not anymore.  I love having fair skin but I realized, I look a lot slimmer when I have a tan. (laughs)   During my recent vacation in the Philippines, I was mostly out (went to the beach, did a bit of hiking, rode zip lines, etc) and geesh, I had a great time! So yes, I'd choose to have summer any time.  Besides, if getting sun burnt is the only thing I'd  be worrying about during summer (or any time there is too much sun) , it's nothing that my current holy grail sunblock won't be able to take care of.   And the other thing I love about summer ? The makeup collections that have been coming up! You know, all that bright, summer-y colours that gives even the most sun kiss...

Happy Skin Turn Up the Heat Summer Collection 2014 Launch...

Image
When Happy Skin launched in the Philippines last October, I was already in the UAE that I had no choice but to just drool over the photos of my friends getting their hands on the Happy Skin products.  I went green with envy seeing my fellow bloggers getting first dibs on one of the most talked about brands to date.  And so, when I learned that Happy Skin is launching their Summer Collection while I'll be having my vacation in PH, I really got so excited.  And I even got more excited when I finally got the invite!  Of course, what made me look forward to the event more was that I'd be able to see some of my good friends after a long time.   The event was held a day after we arrived from Palawan, and though I was all tired (and burnt), I told myself this is one event I wouldn't dare miss.  It was held at 71 Gramercy in Makati, and I was told it was one of the newest "IN" place nowadays. Just seeing this cute registration counter makes me wa...
