Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof Hydrofuge Mascara

Image
I first heard about the Maybelline Great Lash Mascara from my good friend, Michelle, when we first started working together in makeup gigs. She said, among the mascaras she has tried and used, the Great Lash is the best.  I got so curious about it that I even asked my MIL from the US to send me some. Because at that time, it was not available in the Philippines. This year, in the celebration of Maybelline's 100th year, they brought their best-selling mascara in the Philippines and will be available for a limited time only.  Also, it will be sold for a discounted price of Php350.  I am not sure how much it should really cost, but for a brand's best-selling mascara to be sold at such an affordable price, it is indeed something for makeup junkies to be happy about.  As soon as I heard about it, I immediately shared the good news to Michelle and told her to run to the nearest Maybelline counter to hoard. And hoard, she did. (laughs) So why...

Happy Skin Eye Am The One Mascara

Image
And so I'm back after almost a 2-week hiatus.  I've still been active on Instagram though, posting bits of what I was up to for the past two weeks.  So yes, I wasn't totally absent. ^_^ Now that I am back, I have here a review of one of Happy Skin's newest product, their Eye Am The One Mascara, which they also claim to be a Holy Grail Mascara.  So is it really an HG material?  Let's see... Happy Skin Eye Am The One Mascara (Php 899) It promises thicker and longer lashes with a curl that will never droop.  It has a MAXIMEYES fibre brush that maximises the product load and at the same time lifts and separates the lashes.  It is smudge-proof, sweat-proof, sebum-proof, tear-proof and is also water-resistant. The packaging is quite simple and lightweight.  I love how they made the text "Eye Am The One" on the tube bigger than the rest, as it sort of gives you that commanding tone to pick it up among your other m...

Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara in Ultra Black...

Image
Next to eyebrow makeup and eyeliner,  I think the next makeup stuff that I'd consider an essential is the mascara.  I have naturally thin, stick-straight lashes and I've realized years ago that mascara really helps in opening up the eyes making them more tantalizing (LOL!)  I love mascaras and though I know one shouldn't open a lot of mascaras all at the same time because technically, they should only be kept for 6 months (max), I just couldn't stop myself from discovering what other brands has to offer when it comes to mascaras.  I've already found a number of good brands in the past (please check out my previous posts ),  but I'm still always in the lookout for really good mascaras because as I've said earlier, it's a staple in my kit. Today, I'd be sharing with you my experience with my first makeup stuff from Bourjois which happens to be another mascara…told you, I am such a sucker for mascaras! ^_^ Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Ma...

Product Review: Max Factor Excess Volume Mascara….

Image
I wasn't born with long, luscious lashes so whenever there's a new mascara in the market which promises to make my lashes appear more vava-voom, you can bet I'll be all up for it. I am almost done with my second tube of the Lancome Hypnose Star Waterproof Mascara and though I still have another Lancome mascara in my kit, I wanted to try something else. Probably something that doesn't come with a hefty price tag (Lancome costs Php2k a pop!) so just in case I'd end up loving it, my wallet won't end up crying. Haha!   So when I got my July Glambox , and found this Max Factor Excess Volume Extreme Impact Mascara (such a mouthful, whew!) in it, I was just too happy. I've read a lot of good reviews regarding this mascara and I had high hopes that this will work great for me too! Max Factor Excess Volume Extreme Impact Mascara  (Black) As per the brand's website, this mascara has the combination of a volumizing base and an intensifying lacqu...

Product Review: Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara...

Image
I can never have enough mascaras, and despite me having only a pair of eyes, I just can't say "NO" each time a new mascara is out.  Most especially if it's from my favorite drugstore brand when it comes to really amazing mascaras, Maybelline. I've been loving The Falsies mascara since it came out so when I saw this at CVS, I didn't blink twice and got myself one.   Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara, $7 A revolutionary dual-ended mascara for 360 degrees all around lash glam. Two brushes specifically designed for top and bottom lashes.  Special quick-dry formula holds lashes in place.   I don't know about you but it's my first time to get a mascara that dual-ended like this: One for the upper lashes and the other end for the lower lashes.  The brush for the upper lashes has a fluffy, twisted design.  And yes, the brush is a lot thicker than that for the lower lashes.  As you can see, the brush hairs aren...

Product Review: Lancome Hypnose Star Waterproof Mascara

Image
Four years ago (geesh, had it already been 4 years!?) I purchased my first mascara from Lancome, the Lancome Oscillation mascara.  It came with an almost Php2k price tag (can't remember exactly) and I must admit, I just got carried away with the good things I've read and heard about it from people who have tried it.  And dang, it was a totally waste of money!  I told myself, "What was I thinking!?"  So yeah. that's a lot of money down the drain.  I think I got so disappointed that I gave it away. If you wanna know why, you can check out my review here . Since then, I stayed away from pricey mascaras. If I can score a cheap mascara that works, why not?  I think the priciest mascara that I've used and liked is the Benefit They're Real mascara. It's Php1600 a tube, pricey but it delivers.  I didn't get disappointed like what happened with Lancome.  I told myself I'm not gonna commit the same mistake again.  Don't get me wrong, I love Lanc...

Image
Fairydrops Volume Burst Mascara  A volumizing waterproof  (for Waterproof Type)  or water resistant  (for Film Type)  mascara; contains Volume Up Powder, Wax and Fiber that provides a strong curl that lasts all day.   W aterproof is also sweat and tear proof, good for marine sports. Film type is water resistant. don't you love the packaging?  ^_^ This mascara has a unique brush, called the "3 Teardrop" wand.   So, what makes it unique?  The 3 teardrop brush catches even the tiniest lashes from the roots and lashes are bitten between the balls and sharp triangular bunches are made. Thick at the bottom of the lashes and sharp at the ends of the lashes= DOLL like lashes!!! I t pushes the lashes up thus, making all-day beautiful curls and without clump. Here's an easy-to-understand illustration on the product's packaging: Let's see if this mascara is really good.  I've been reading a lot of good ...

Product Review: Majolica Majorca Lash King in Brown

Image
Months ago, one of my favorite makeup brands, Majolica Majorca launched Psychedelicious .  Two of the products there that really got me excited in that collection are the Brow and Lash colorist (see my review here ) and Lash King in Brown .   One of my favorite mascaras has got to be this brand's Lash King in Black (which I reviewed here ), because it never fails to give me that vava-voom lashes that would pass up as falsies (just like what Benefit They're Real  gives). So when news came out that Majolica will be releasing Lash King in Brown, I just knew I had to have it.  Our friends from Majolica Majorca must have heard my plea, and sent this to me: as usual, eye-catching packaging that gives out a very "royalty" vibe see that crown on the label?  this is because Lash King is really the brand's KING of all mascaras! just like their Lash King in Black, this baby has 5mm of fibers that really helps give you lush, lengthy lashes.  ...

Missing Majolica Majorca...

Image
It's been a while since I last visited Majolica Majorca's counter, so before heading home, I decided to drop by and take a break from my crazy work. For those who have visited their counter already, did you feel like you're a princess surrounded with everything beautiful? I've always find their packaging cute and princess-worthy. I still have loots from my previous visits, so I just got these two: Automatic eyeliner and Glamour Volume On mascara You know i'm SO into eyeliners and mascara that I won't feel complete without wearing at least one. My mom fell in love with their automatic eyeliner so she asked if she could have mine...and of course, in as much as I LOVE it, I love my mom more so I gave it to her. I've been reading a lot of raves about their Lash Enamel Glamour Volume On mascara, but when Martha raved on it, I was totally sold. And the best part? When you purchase at least Php1500 worth, you'll get this uber cute keychain: I first though...
