FOTD: Sexy Siren...

Image
It's been a while since I last posted an FOTD here.  I stay at home most of the time and even if I go out,   I don't really wear much eye makeup except for my usual winged liner.  So when I reached out for my eyeshadow brushes yesterday (for my Chelsea Grin look) I kinda thought I might have already forgot some things about blending.  But yeah, some things cannot be easily forgotten.  Though it surely helps to do some practice every now and then. Having said that, here's a look I came up with yesterday.  With Halloween just around the corner, I bet you are already thinking of what makeup look to wear for the parties you'd be attending. I know most of us don't really go for the scary/ghostly looks, so here's something you might want to try...I call this the Sexy Siren look. Product Review: Clinique Lid Smoothie in Cashew Later

Image
Remember last weekend when I went home to visit my family and had a weekend of endless eating (and eating, and more eating)?  Well, aside from that, it was also a time to dig into my mom's makeup bin on the lookout for some good stuff. And as usual, I didn't end up disappointed. Here's a review on one of my "recent haul" from Mom:   Clinique Lid Smoothie Antioxidant 8-hr Eye Colour Creamy, crease-resistant eye colour wears for 8 hours. Instantly cools thanks to a unique applicator. Nourishing ingredients coax fine lid lines into a blanket of smoothness. Antioxidants help protect eye-area skin. Available in 12 colors It comes in an easy to squeeze tube with a stainless steel tip applicator which is cold.  The cooling sensation is actually relaxing, but I still recommend applying this using your fingers or with a brush to ensure even application and so you won't put too much. Cashew Later Though this is supposed to be...

Product Review: Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover

Image
Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover Totally tugless, two-way makeup remover speeds the departure of hard-to-remove eye and lip makeup. Dissolves and "lifts away" long-wearing makeup, even waterproof mascara. Non-irritating, non-stinging. Ophthalmologist Tested. Appropriate for contact lens wearers. Directions for Use: Shake well before using Saturate cotton ball with remover Cleanse one eye area at a time. Apply to eye area and hold for several seconds, then wipe with downward strokes. Use a new saturated cotton ball or tissue for lipstick removal. Rinse with cool water. I got this as a GWP during Shen's Clinique Party and I've been using it often if I'm using waterproof makeup...which I almost always do. I still love my cleansing oils but there are days when I have a lot of more time to cleanse my face. And when I do, I first remove my eye and lip makeup, then my face before finally washing my face. (excuse the oilies) waterp...

Shensaddiction's Clinique Party...

Image
Last weekend, I finally got the chance to attend Shen 's Clinique Party. As usual, I was running late and this is the scene I ran into: all these ladies are having a good time...there's a makeover, product consultation and of course, picture taking! It was my first time to attend a Clinique party and I was just so happy that it was with a good friend, Shen and of course, her readers! Shen is absolutely glowing...who wouldn't if you've just celebrated your anniversary with you fiance. ^_^ The last time I've been at a Clinique counter was years ago, so I went around checking out what they have to offer: I didn't know they have a men's line. I wish my man is as vain as me. It would be great to buy him stuff like this and make him use it. Imagine me saying "use this...then this...and next is this one..." LOL! their skintype analysis, using this would help you know what regimen would work for you more of their 3-ste...
