Rimmel Exaggerate Smoke n' Shine Eyeliner

Image
If there is one makeup item I hoped I've learned to use when I was still in school, it would be the eyeliner.  When I learned how to use eyeliners, I just couldn't seem to get enough of them.  I rarely go out without lining my eyes.  And if you've been reading my blog for quite some time now, you'd know that my eye makeup won't be complete without my signature winged liner.   Eyeliners don't just give you the opportunity to change the shape of your eyes, but it also helps make your eyelashes look fuller. If you are too lazy to put on eyeshadow, then coloured eyeliners are your best bet to make your eyes pop.   Today let me share with you these eyeliners from one of the brands that have been slowly taking up a lot of space in my makeup kit.  Don't get me wrong, this brand Rimmel, is slowly becoming one of my favorite drugstore brand..next to Revlon, of course! ^_^ Rimmel London Exaggerate Smoke N' Shine Eyeliner (AED 23) ...

Product Review: Happy Skin Eye Am Here To Stay Gel Pencil Eyeliner...

Image
If you don't wear eyeshadows, the next best thing to bring life to your eyes are eyeliners.  There's a lot of eyeliners available but I'm sure you'd agree that it's hard to find one which you can depend on: an eyeliner that won't budge, smudge or make you end up looking like a panda. I've already tried a lot of eyeliners in the past and though I still prefer the liquid ones (for my lash lines), here's my new favorite when it comes to gel eyeliners in pencil form: Happy Skin Eye Am Here To Stay 24H Gel Pencil Eyeliner (Php 499) Shades: Peppermint, Perfect Black and Chic Brown I was able to get two of the three shades available during the Happy Skin Summer Collection launch and I must admit, among all the items that I got, these eyeliners made me excited the most. I really wish I've discovered the greatness of eyeliners earlier, like way back in college.  Now, it's one of the staples in my makeup kit. Aside from bein...

Product Review: Benefit They're Real Push-Up Liner...

Image
For me, the next best thing one can learn when it comes to makeup (after drawing your brows, of course!) is lining the eyes. Lining the eyes give your eyes a whole new look. I wish I've known this technique a long time ago. Come to think of it, I do know about it..but I just don't know how to do it! (laughs)  It took me years to really master the art of lining the eyes. I've tried different styles, but my favourite has got to be the winged liner.  It makes one look sexy, sassy and nasty? (WUT!? LoL)   I've been asked a lot of times how I do it. I remember making a video tutorial years ago on how I line my eyes, but 'twas not the kind of lining that I do now.  I wish I can make an updated video tutorial for you (obviously, I can't), but for now let me tell you how you can line your eyes so easy you won't need years of practice. Say hello to your new best friend when it comes to lining your eyes, the Benefit They're Real Push-Up Liner : I ...

FEBRUARY is over…so hello there, MARCH!  Time flies supeeeeer fast!  And I am counting the days starting today, because…I am going home for a vacation!   Uhmm, technically it's not really a vacation because I've been on vacation since August.  I haven't been working since July and I must admit, I miss going to work.  I've worked for the last 13 years straight so being just a stay-at-home wifey is all new to me.  I know I've been so stressed from my last job, but I guess I've had enough vacation already!  I want to get my ass back to working soon! (crossing fingers) Okay, back to regular programming…  I've been asked a lot of times already what makeup products I won't be able to live without. Well, an eyebrow makeup tops the list…and an eyeliner comes second. Had I known my eyes would look prettier with a liner, I should've learned using one way back school days!   (laughs) I've already found my HG eyeliner in K-Palet...

Product Review: Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Liner...

Image
The first makeup technique that I got to learn was not filling in my brows…and no, not even applying eye shadows..it's lining my eyes!  I remember doing it the first time using my Mom's eyebrow powder compact. LoL!  Of course, I was not yet into the winged-liner thing back then, but I remember trying to extend the line beyond my eye so I'd look chinky-eyed.  So yeah, I've been lining my eyes for years!  So if you think I line my eyes sort of perfectly, it's because of years of practice.  But there are still days when my line becomes wonky…I guess it really depends on how much time you have, and on your mood. ^_^ I've already found my HG eyeliner , but I just love exploring other options.  Besides, there are lots of makeup brands here in Dubai that we don't have back in PH and it would be a shame if I won't give them a try, at least. One of those brands is Rimmel and though available thru online sellers in Manila, I haven't really had t...

Product Review: K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner Micro

Image
It's been months since I've reviewed the K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner (see here ), and would you believe I've never used any other eyeliner as much as I've used it?  I've finished 3 pens (2 black, 1 brown) already...and would definitely keep on buying again.  I just love its ease of application and it's staying power.  I simply can't imagine my (makeup) life without it.  Oh dear god of makeup, please don't let this awesome stuff go away..ever. Okay, drop the drama. ^_^ Now, I am reviewing another eyeliner from K-Palette...and so far, this has got to be the eyeliner with the most micro felt-tip I've ever seen.   see how fine it is? and here's me with my most favorite word to write whenever I'm testing pens...eyeliners included: ^_^ And so I remember way back in school, when I wouldn't mind writing pages of research papers as long as I'm using Pilot G Tec C4 gel pens. Now, I realized that th...

Another quick post on a look I came up with days ago.  Instead of my usual (dramatic) winged liner, I sort of extended the liner on the inner corner of my eyes.  This works wonders if you have round eyes, and wanted to make it look almond-shaped. I wanted to extend it a bit more, and look more like our dear Cleopatra.  But of course, I wouldn't wear that to the office! (laughs)  But who knows, maybe on a (happy) Friday. ^_^ I hope you like it! Please like me on Facebook ( IambrigittePage ) and follow me on Twitter ( Iamsutil ) and Instagram (Iambrigitte)

How To: Making eyeliner on your waterlines stay put...

Image
Who loves putting eyeliner on your waterlines?  (raises hand) As mentioned on one of my recent posts, I love using a white (sometimes beige) eyeliner on my waterlines to fake an awake look.  But I hate it when my liner would disappear even before I'm out of the house!  I've been on a search for an eyeliner that would last all day on the waterlines but haven't seen one yet.  Of course, Revlon is an exception but I want one that's either white or beige.   For today, let me share with you a technique I've learned on how to make eyeliner on your waterlines stay put. On most days, I'd use a black eyeliner...but for an "AWAKE" look, I use white or flesh-tone liners What you need:  a clean Q-tip.   To make sure it's free of "himulmol" (strip of cotton) so you won't irritate your eyes, you can rub/roll it in between your clean fingers first. there's your eyeliner! But it doesn't end there.  Ge...

Product Review: K-Palette 24hr Real Lasting Eyeliner

Image
Seriously, I want to give myself a big kick for not reviewing this awesome eyeliner earlier.  I know a lot have been said already about it but I still want to say my piece.   ^_^ K-Palette 24-HR Real Lasting Eyeliner  Made in Japan, the award-winning K-Palette’s 24-Hr Real Lasting Eyeliner comes with a micro-fiber felt-tip applicator for precise application and easy control. It's formula contains water-resistant polymers for smudge-resistant and sweat-resistant 24-hour wear along with chamomile extracts and panthenol to nourish the skin.   Sleek, lightweight packaging  its felt tip brush reminds me of some calligraphy brushes, and it has the right amount of stiffness to control the drawing of lines it comes in two shades (Super Black and Deep Brown) I love how I can easily draw thin and thick lines with this liner and the pigmentation is just so awesome you don't need to go back and draw on the same ...

Product Review: Revlon Colorstay Creme Gel Eyeliner

Image
This isn't my first time to review an eyeliner from one of the best drugstore brands that I've tried to date.  I remember learning and mastering the art of drawing a winged liner using Revlon's liquid eyeliner, but I find it weird that I haven't gotten to reviewing that in the past.  But I did review their pencil liner, and you can see it here . Last month, our friends from Revlon sent me new products from their Colorstay line to try.  Colorstay got to be one of their lines that I've tried, I like and I am still using.  Let's see if this baby will make it to my list of must-haves from Revlon. Revlon Colorstay Creme Gel Eye Liner Bold, smudge-proof color that lasts up to 24 hours  Available shades: Black, Brown, Plum and Charcoal This comes in a travel-friendly packaging.  It's in a glass pot, but I've dropped this baby a lot of times already ( whoops! ) but still no signs of breakage or chipping. It doesn't take too...
