Instruction: Apply an appropriate amount of cream around the eyes carefully and evenly, finishing with concealer brush or tap the area with finger

Available in 2 shades in a 10g jar.

Price: Php950.00

i told you, i got excited when i saw this at Skinfood at Rustan's. i wanted to get the entire line but i just purchased another skincare line from another brand, so i decided to let it go (for now...LOL).
but of course, stubborn me won't leave the counter without getting anything...at least the one that i can afford at this time, so i got the concealer in shade #2:

what i love:
  • consistency is creamy and easy to blend
  • no weird smell
  • shade #2 is my exact shade for my undereyes. tried to get the lighter shade, but now i'm sure i'd look funny had i insisted on getting it. LOL
  • no irritations
  • doesn't cake no matter how much you put on
  • a little goes a long way...so i'm sure this 10g jar would last me months!
what i hate:
  • kinda oily
  • hard to set, at least with the powder i am using as a setting powder. but i tried using it with the salmon set powder at the counter and it works great (darn, now i gotta get that one too!?)
  • it creases...and it's just because i wasn't really able to set it properly
bare undereyes

with the Salmon Concealer in shade #2

set with Oceanmist Saffron Concealer using a brush

and yeah, i know i messed up. i should've used a puff instead and probably a much looser setting powder. arrrgh, i am really getting my hands on that Salmon Powder and hopefully, give you a better view of my concealed undereyes.

Lemming: Skinfood's Salmon Eye care line

do you love salmon? well, i do! in fact, i can finish a whole lot of salmon sashimi at any japanese resto! while others get all freaked out just by the thought of eating raw fish, i get excited :)

then i learned that salmon actually helps in diminishing those darn undereye circles that most of us have. shucks, had i known this earlier...i would've make sure to include salmon in my diet everyday. LOL!

yep, salmon aids in getting rid of those pesky dark eye circles. and since most, if not all of us, can't include salmon in our everyday diet, SKINFOOD released their salmon eye care line to make sure that people get their daily dose of salmon everyday.

Salmon Dark Circle Concealer

Concentrated & creamy, it effectively covers dark eye circles and wrinkles. Can be easily applied without irritation.

Instruction: Apply an appropriate amount of cream around the eyes carefully and evenly, finishing with concealer brush or tap the area with finger.

Salmon Dark Circle Powder

An instant brightening powder, it is rich in omega-3 fatty acid, vitamins A & E with Nano-coating, to lighten dark eye circles.

Instruction: Apply after Salmon Dark Circle Concealer. Apply an appropriate amount of powder around the eyes with the enclosed puff, as well as on skin where brightening is needed.

including Salmon in our daily diet won't be easy...it would be costly and should one decide to prepare salmon dishes to cut on costs, it would still be impractical...busy bees like us don't have all the time in the world! so it's really great to have this line from Skinfood...but be warned, the items in the line don't come cheap. the serum, cream and massage cream are priced almost at par with high-end brands.

i would love to have the entire line...actually, i already have one item...and a review is coming up next :)

it's shimmery, but still suitable for an office look:

i usually don't like golds and browns (neutrals!)...but this one, I LOVE!

my MAC Colourcraft collection (micro) haul...

so here's my mini haul last weekend from MAC's Colourcraft collection:

MSF in Smooth Merge, MES in Fashion Patch and Eccentricity and MAC 109

Eccentricity MES

Fashion Patch MES

Smooth Merge MSF

i seriously wanted to get more MES, the Warm Blend and Porcelain Pink MSFs and some blushes but i need to hold myself back. i still have stuff left unused but i just can't forego this collection...i waited for this collection because of the 109 and 131 brushes, unfortunately, i only got the 109. i also wanted to get the Madly Creative l/s but it's already sold out. argh!

so what's my initial say on the products? i love the 2 MES i got...was able to use the Eccentricity and i love, love the colors! the shimmers are kinda loose (?) so i had to spray my brush with Fix+ so it would stay put and minimize the fall out on my cheeks. the color payoff is good, and despite some reviews that it's hard to blend, i found it to be otherwise.

the MSF, i haven't been able to use it...but when i saw my MSF in Blonde, i went "aren't they the same!?"

i would have to say NO, they are a bit different. The Smooth Merge has a darker color (the one in the middle) while Blonde has light colors. how about you, what do you think? would you say we can forego Smooth Merge once we have Blonde? hmmm...

and of course, the MAC 109 which i've been waiting for quite a long time (actually since i saw Fafinette's review on it)...i even had to ask some friends to get this for me, good thing i was able to ask an MA to reserve one for me.

but i am still hoping to get my hands on a MAC 131. i am not sure if i REALLY need it, but it's an LE so better get one before it's gone! but yeah, i wasn't able to get one. snifff...

i wish the MES won't get sold out soon coz i would still need to save a bit so i can get more.

don't you love this collection?

I certainly do!

a great weekend...

and so what's the best way to de-stress during the weekend? what else...but to go shopping!

and just in time, my fave MA from MAC texted me and told me that Colourcraft has come! geeez...his text made my heart jump for i've been wanting to get my hands on this beautiful collection. but i still need to save, so i set my mind on getting two of the brushes, and some e/s and MSF.

i planned on bringing baby MAC to the mall, but sort of scared that they won't allow me to bring him in. good thing Jamie offered to take care of MAC while i go to MAC (LOL)..but fortunately, we were able to sneak him in!

so to MAC we went, and here's what greeted us:

Colour Craft is LOVEEEE!

and here's me with my fave MA, Jarwin:

i got some stuff from the collection, but was really hoping i can get all...sniff
after a visit at the MAC counter, we went to Lucy Brittanico to get a haircut. it's been 7mos since my last one and i just want to get a trim for i'm planning to have my hair curled a few months from now...tee hee.

we got so hungry after that we decided to do loads of eating...hahhaha. when me and jamie gets together, either it would be about makeup...or FOOD!

but of course, weekend wasn't all about me...i got baby MAC some stuff as well:

cute!

he hates the shoes though...doesn't want to walk in them

see, he's even ashamed to show up his face on cam with those shoes on..LOL!
i can't wait to go home this Friday...it's mom's birthday on saturday and that's another great weekend to look forward to!

Playing with Makeup: MAC Colour Craft

when the Colour Craft collection was launched here in the Phils last weekend and saw the MAs wearing the look, i thought "theirs look pale, as compared to the official photos from MAC..maybe it would be better to use my Ben Nye pallette should i decide to re-create the look."

and so when i got home, i took out my Ben Nye palette and again played with makeup.
so here's another pathetic attempt on re-creating a MAC look:

too bad, i don't have that much accessories to use:

and to prove that i wasn't naked in these pics:

LOL!

and yesterday, Shen gave me a link from Temptalia's site about the MUA using Ben Nye for this collection's photoshoot. i was like "WHOA!"

oh well, MAC or Ben Nye..i still love the look they were able to come up with...and of course, the collection!
til next time!

Happy Friday look: Blues

last week's weather's gloomy because of the typhoon...and so i decided to wear something dark (like i usually do, lol). lately i've been playing more often with my 120-color palette which i've abandoned for quite some time.

so here goes another "Happy" (and rainy) Friday look:

colors used

PAC brow kit + MUFE brow corrector in shade 0
120-color palette
Maybelline cat eyes mascara
UD 24/7 eyeliner in zero

Smashbox Photofinish primer
MUFE HD liquid foundation in 117
