  The event was held at the lovely Fortnum & Mason in Downtown Dubai,  known as one of London's most famous stores when it comes to luxury food items and quintessential English afternoon tea.   As soon as I stepped inside, I already felt the girly, carefree vibe because there's a lot of pinkness going on.  Each table were adorned with mini Givenchy goodies that were included in the Givenchy-exclusive Glambox some months ago, and of course with Fortnum and Mason's mouthwatering high tea delights.           Givenchy and Glambox specially curated box for the month of July featuring the former's signature products    

Do you believe in angels?  Since I was a child, I've always believed that each one of us has a guardian angel. I dunno how to explain it but there were lot of times when a sudden change of mind or remembering that I need to be elsewhere actually saved me from being in danger. I've first heard about Shiseido from my Mom and I remember using their oil blotting sheets when I was in college.  It was in fact my very first Shiseido item. Ang sosyal ko lang noon, di ba? Hahaha!  Anyway, I've always known the brand for their skincare.  Me and my Mom swears by it. If only I haven't been so lazy to get up early and take the 1hr-bus ride to NY, I could've seen more. Ugh, regrets. Note to self next time: Grab each freakin' opportunity to explore a new place as you might not have a second chance.  In short, wag tatamad-tamad. I can hardly remember the last time I was able to attend an event in Dubai.  Aside from I don't get invites that often, it also happens that if I do, it's always on a weekday and during office hours. Bummer, right!?  So when I got an invite to attend a perfume launch that will be held on a Thursday and after office hours, I knew I just had to be there.  Besides, I need to get my mind off a lot of things.  I need some fresh air, I need to meet new friends...I am in a bad need of a social life! The event was for the launch of Roberto Cavalli Paradiso perfume.  It was held in a posh, private villa at Hotel Sofitel in Dubai. I'm sure every one of us would want to smell fresh all day.  And to do so doesn't mean you have to spend thousands on fragrances.  When I was gifted with a set of Adore and Aqua Fresco fragrances, I was like "I'm pretty sure these smells so-so" but I was so wrong.  They actually smell nice and they pretty much last.  Of course it doesn't last as long as EDTs and Parfums, but they do last longer as compared with other brands I've tried with the same price points.  For the ladies out there, here's Adore Fragrances: Colognes, Php99.75 Chic - Flirt - Kiss - Innocent Body Sprays, Php129.75 Wicked-Charmed I personally use and love Innocent and Charmed.  I love it so much that I already finished two bottles of Charmed.   Of course, the men don't have to be inggit.  There's equally affordable and great-smelling fragrances for them too with Aqua Fresco: Colognes, Php99.75 Intense - Rush - Speed - Drive ...

Eau de Lacoste Pour Femme Lacoste's newest fragrance for women is a tribute to the brand's most iconic achievement, the pique polo shirt.  I remember how hard I fell in love with their white pique polo shirt the first time I saw it on a mannequin.  It simply looks so elegant, sporty without looking too casual and well, it indeed looks sosyal.  Too bad, I still can't bring myself to buy one poloshirt for that price.  If it's makeup, then that's a different story.
