MYLBB: Shiseido Lacquer Rouge in RD203

Image
So many times I've tried, but I still lean towards pinkish nudes when it comes to lip colors.  I try to be adventurous as I can, but I think I just can't be as adventurous as I am with eye makeup. That being said, let me share with you today a lipcolor that I have loved, and still loving, since the day I got it.   Shiseido Lacquer Rouge in RD203 I got my first tube from the Dutyfree in US and since then, this tube never left my makeup kit.  Or maybe at times it did. LOL!   This is my emergency go-to lippie on days that I can't seem to decide what shade to wear or when I realize come mid-day that my lipstick is a bit off with my look. IMHO, this shade is universal at it can match any makeup look.   See how purrtttyy this shade is? It reminds me of my another favorite, the MAC Please Me.  It applies smoothly on the lips and it doesn't feel heavy. It's moisturizing but not sticky. Pigmentation is great too. For this parti...

Shiseido Zen Secret Bloom

Image
I've first heard about Shiseido from my Mom and I remember using their oil blotting sheets when I was in college.  It was in fact my very first Shiseido item. Ang sosyal ko lang noon, di ba? Hahaha!  Anyway, I've always known the brand for their skincare.  Me and my Mom swears by it. I'm still using their Ultimune and I love how it keeps my skin sane despite my stress, lack of sleep and my crazy diet.  And of course, they also have a good makeup line.    I didn't know that Shiseido has perfumes too, until I was gifted with probably one of the most elegant fragrance I have ever sniffed in my life...the Shiseido Zen Secret Bloom.  Shiseido Zen Secret Bloom Eau de Parfum Intense It comes in this Asian-inspired heavy square glass bottle which I honestly didn't like.  And that's because 1) Me and anything made of glass don't go well together and 2) It's so heavy and bulky that it's such a hassle to bring this with you when you go ...

Product Review: Shiseido Sun Protection Liquid Foundation...

Image
Hi, my loves!  How's the weekend?  In a few more hours, it's Monday once again.  It sucksI know, but it's something we have to do to pay the bills! (laughs)  For today I wanna share with you this great product I've been using again lately now that our weather's a lot more confused than usual.  It's usually scorching hot in the morning until noon, but it tends to rain in the later afternoon.  Whenever I use it, I know my skin looks good, aside from being protected from the sun.  And even if it rains, my skin would still look okay and I don't have to worry about my makeup melting away. Shiseido's Sun Protection Liquid foundation is broad-spectrum to protect against the harmful rays of the sun. The just-applied looking matte finish is non-transferring which is resistant against perspiration, water and oil. See how harassed the packaging looks?  It's because I've been using it mostly on beach and out-of-town trips.   ...

How I give life to my (boring) lip colors...

Image
For today, let me share with you this one lip product that I don't think I can live without...for the next few months! I've been using it a lot these days and I always get compliments whenever I am wearing it... Shiseido Maquillage Perfect Gloss RS702 I got this as one of the freebies during the Shiseido Makeup Workshop last year, and haven't been able to use it until early this year when I can't seem to find my Estee Lauder lip glosses anywhere.  You know me, I'm not much of an adventurous type when it comes to lipcolor, and that I only usually alternate between my MAC Peachstock and MAC Please Me. Can be a bit boring I know, but I try to give my lips a bit of Oomph by topping it with a gloss.  I started with MAC Gellee, then Estee Lauder's and now this one from Shiseido. It comes with a spatula-like applicator which helps deposit the color on the lips easily.  The shade in RS702 is a beautiful, light pink with finely-milled s...

Product Review: Shiseido Camellia Compact

Image
I am not really into collecting limited edition products (unless it's from MAC) but if there's one limited edition product that I am so glad I have in my stash, it would be the Shiseido's Camellia Compact. One of the reasons why it's a must-have?  It's the brand's commemorative product for its 140th anniversary.   The compact, as well as the multi-colored powder inside have the beautiful and distinctive design that showcases the cherished camellia flower which also happens to be the favorite of Shinzo Fukuhara, Shiseido's first president. Inside the compact is truly an eye-candy.  It has 3 shades - the icy, platinum white, perfect to be used as a highlighter, the rich peachy rose which is quite dramatic because it's has the most color payoff among the three and the petal pink, which is sheer and subtle that would look natural on most skin tones. All three shades are shimmery, but not glittery.  The shimmers on top of the ...

Product Review: Shiseido Radiant Lifting Foundation...

Image
Aside from skincare, we know that Shiseido is also famous for their awesome foundations.  I've used some of their powder foundations in the past and I can really say that they are one of the best that I've tried.  They are so finely-milled and gives the skin a beautiful, polished look that looks natural.   Today, I'll be doing a review on probably their newest (which is not really new since this has been out for months) liquid foundation.  I was able to see its magic during the Shiseido Makeup Workshop last year and since then, all I wanted was to get my hands on it.  I talked nonstop to Mom about how good it is, and so she got one for herself...and for me too! ^_^ Shiseido Radiant Lifting Foundation An antiaging foundation with innovative light technology to eliminate shadows and give skin a radiant, youthful glow.  Radiance Reflecting Powder provides a soft-focus effect and luminosity for a more youthful, lifted appearance for up to ...
