Something New: NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Liquid Foundation

Image
New Stay Matte But Not Flat Liquid Foundation Provides full coverage of mineral enriched matte finish.  The oil-free and water-based formula is perfect for in the studio or all day long! 02 Nude 03 Natural 04 Creamy Natural 05 Soft Beige i love that it comes in easy to squeeze tubes!   Nude - Natural - Creamy Natural - Soft Beige As you can see on the swatches, there's a shift of color from Nude to Natural.  And Creamy Natural seems to be the lightest on this set.  I think it's because the shade Nude is for the yellow-toned while the next ones are for the pinkish-toned.   There are 15 shades available on the NYX website but our very own Digitaltraincase only has these 4 shades (for now). Nude - Natural - Creamy Natural - Soft Beige with just moisturizer + sunscreen (and blemishes!)  with a layer of foundation As you can see, it has already covered the redness and s...

(So) Shocking Pink!

Image
If there's one NYX lipstick that has been tested and swatched so many times during the Cosmetologie Fair last week, I would say it's no other than the NYX matte lipstick in Shocking Pink. NYX Matte lipstick in Shocking Pink It's an intense, bright pink with some lilac undertones.  I really got so envious with all the girls who tried this on and instantly became strikingly beautiful. I dunno what or how, but I don't think I've seen anyone who didn't look good when they tried this on.  It's like magic, really! Yeah, the inggiterang palaka  (envious frog) in me just couldn't stand there and look...I had to get one for myself!  I know I don't really look good with bright lip colors, but what the heck. I want...nah, I NEED to get one.   So here it is: It looks almost neon...don't you think? Super sorry for the (gigantic) eyebags...I've been awake for almost 2 days in this picture.   So what do you think? ...

Give your simple eye makeup an extra Omph! + current favorites

On days that I am running late (which is really becoming more often) , I try to veer away from using too much colors for my eyeshadow, to cut my blending effort in half. I usually use a light brown shade for my crease, then a shimmery, almost skin tone shade for my lid. But to give this look an extra oomph, I'd use a colorful eyeliner together with the (mandatory) black eyeliner : Tonymoly eyebrow liner Benefit Lemon Aid Beauty Pro e/s in Khaki Sienna and Shimmer Beige Milani Liquif-eye liners in Aqua and Black Prestige eyeliner in White MAC Brow set in Girl Boy Majolica Majorca Lash Expander in Blue Black (Glass Trick collection) Benefit Eye Bright Whenever I use a colored eyeliner, I'd still use a black eyeliner below it, as close as possible to the lash lines. Well, eyeliners help give an illusion of thick and luscious lashes. And I don't think using other colors aside from the natural color of your lashes would look natural. So black liner topped with your pre...
