Product Review: Fairydrops Candy Bar BB Cream

Image
I know BB Creams are so yesterday, and CC creams are "IN" nowadays...or at least will be, soon (please see Liz's feature on it here ).  But please let me share my review on the BB cream that I've been using, and surprisingly liking so much as of the moment, that I've been reaching out for it a lot more often that my other foundations. Fairydrops Candy Bar BB Cream Produced by Mayumi Yasutomo, a newcaster who desired to have a product that will make her skin look flawless while on camera.  This shine-free, oil-free and waterproof product was the perfect solution.  The product itself has a lightweight formula allowing you to apply the amount of layer you would like without feeling like your skin is being weighed down.  Micro-gold pearl hides scars and freckles.  Soft-focus powder uses light diffusion not to show wrinkles and makes skin smooth.  Cover with thin film, and protect from dry and rough skin. I love that it comes in an easy-...

Something New: Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus and UV Damage Corrector

Image
here's the product that got me so excited the first time I've learned about it: Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus and UV Damage Corrector A potent serum that gives every skin a second chance against lines, wrinkles and sun damage. In 4 weeks, see obvious reduction in lines, improved texture. At 12 weeks, the visible wrinkle-reducing power is remarkably close to a dermatological laser procedure. 63% to be exact. Different commitment, different results. And yet impressive results guaranteed. After reading its product info, I was immediately sold! I've used Clinique some time ago, their 3-step skincare for Oily skin, and it worked for me. So it didn't take a lot of thinking before I decided to get this. I know I have so many skincare products already but who would say NO to a promise of giving you good skin? NOT ME. I'll be incorporating this product on my daily regimen and of course, will update you about my progress. I've been using this for 2...

Daily Stress....

Image
are you the type of person who easily gets stressed? (like me?) or do always go thru a lot everyday that you'd end up stressed at the end of the day? Too much stress can cause no end of beauty fall-out! your face may erupt in blemishes, your skin may turn splotchy. your neck and shoulders will tighten up so you hunch when you walk, your nails are bitten to little nubs. sleep deprivation seems to have left permanent dark circles under your eyes (ouch!) and your scalp is so dry, you're scratching like a chimp. Here's how to find relief: All Wrung Out to recharge your batteries when energy is low, do what great bathing creatures of the world have done for centuries. take a hot-cold plunge. start with a warm shower, then switch to a burst of cold, then back to really warm. don't overdo it, however; a cycle of one to four rotations is enough. if you are pregnant or have high pressure, don't try this. Head & Neck Tension massage your scalp with your fingertips in sm...

Makeup Tricks that erase 10 years....

Image
wanna look (and of course, feel) younger? Try this simple color and texture changes to look younger... Erase five years: Put away the shimmer shadow Before "As you notice lines around your eyes, avoid frosted or shimmery shadows," says New York makeup artist Troy Surratt. "The sparkle highlights wrinkles and crepey, crinkly skin instead of masking." After Silky, matte shadows blend into your skin and camouflage fine lines. Sweep "a light shade of champagne or peach -- universally flattering colors -- from lash to brow to brighten the whole eye area," Surratt says. This creates a full, youthful eye. But if puffiness, especially on your lids, is your problem, Surratt suggests you use a medium shade such as taupe on the entire eyelid to add depth and create a natural-looking crease. Erase 10 years: Go glossy Before Lips get thinner and drier with age. Dark lip liner and matte lipstick draw attention to the fine lines around your lips. After ...

How to pick the right foundation....

Image
if you're gonna ask me what i hate the most about buying makeup...that would be picking up the right foundation. it's either a hit or a miss...and most of the time, it'll be a miss. i would then end up mixing several shades just to get my exact shade or i'll just adjust the color using powders. honestly, i am still on the look out for my perfect shade of foundation in the market. something that will really melt and blend on my skin right before my eyes... something that will make me look flawless without looking made up. but i ain't giving up yet... anyways, here are some tips i've found on About.Beauty on how to pick the right foundation for you: 1. Consider your skin type. Before you pick the right shade, you need to find out the right formulation for your skin. Are you oily? Dry? Combination? 2. Pick the right formula. If you're oily, look for words like 'oil-free' or 'oil-control' on the bottle. Got dry skin? Go for moisturizing foundati...
