To all the Dads out there, via I grew up without a father, so on this day, it's my Mom who I'd be greeting.  Nah, my mom didn't change into a man...LoL!  But for 34 years, she has been both a Mom and a Dad to me...and of course, to my sister.  It's hard to grow up without a Dad, but with a Mom like ours, I never had to wish I have one. How's your weekend, my dearies? A few more minutes to go and it's a Monday once again.  I knoooow, it's not too exciting but we have to do what we gotta do!  Besides, we gotta work hard so we can also play hard...yes!?   ^_^ Two years ago, I remember doing a Birthday Wishlist post.  And guess what, I was able to get most of what I wished for.  I didn't get everything on my birthday though, besides I don't expect to get everything as gifts.  While some were given to me, some I bought for myself.  I don't have tons of moolah to buy all of my "wants" or "needs"  but if my budget permits, I try to get them.  I still believe you have to reward yourself from time to time.  It's a way to motivate yourself too.   So for this year, here's what I want to get for my birthday.  And again, I don't mind getting them late..hahaha! via Mili Power Crystal 2000MAH The Iphone5 is such a battery-hogging gadget, that I usuall...

I have a severe case of insomnia...which means, my usual bed time would be around 2-3am. No matter how early I go to bed, I'll always (or most of the time) end up staring endlessly at the ceiling or counting sheep in my head. I've tried sleeping pills, milk, bananas...even reading yawn-worthy techie books, but none would seem to work for more than a couple of days. So when I chanced upon a section in Healthy Options where all sorts of Teas are located, it's no surprise that I'll be picking this up first: yep, these are not our usual tea bags in boxes... handy packaging round teabags no string to help one identify what kind of tea it is and aid in removing the teabag from the cup i've tried this variant for days and surprisingly, i was able to drink it without adding some honey or lemon. did it work? yep, during the first few days but like the others, it just lost its powers (on me, at least). but i would recommend this to those who don't have a severe case...

i've always wanted to get curls...now, i finally got them: then they went nadah in less than an hour! yeah, i was just playing with my curling iron.. but i really wish to get them, soon!

finally, after weeks of coffee and iced tea overdose... my 2011 Starbucks Planner lovin' the velvet cover...yay! this isn't the first time i went gaga over Starbucks just to get their planner...but i do hope this would be the first time that I'll use it. ^_^

remember this post ? that friggin' accident months ago made MAK look like this: i can't describe the amount of stress and inconvenience this accident caused me. i remember waiting hours for a cab just to go home, and this is because from where i work, cab drivers usually prefer nearby locations. there was even a time when i almost cried when i got rejected by 3 cab drivers one after the other...geesh! but it's all in the past now...for MAK is back: looking brand new once again...woot! Pacquiao with his another world title in a 7th different weight division Once again, Pacquiao fought for us Filipinos who have been faced with a lot of tragedies brought about by typhoons and endless terrorists abductions and killing of innocent lives...not to mention the intrigues and political issues because of the upcoming election. Despite all the struggles our country have been facing, our kababayan PACMAN gave us another reason to remain a proud Pinoy. CONGRATULATIONS, MANNY PACQUIAO!

weeee....Christmas is just around the corner. And though i remember not getting anything from my wishlist last year (boo-hoo wahahahaa), i'd still want to try my luck (accompanied with positive thinking and loads of prayers) on getting my wishes for this year: an iPhone 3GS (in white preferably). i grew tired of my old phone, and finally decided to join the growing number of iPhone users. and i don't care if anyone would tell me it's impractical to get one nowadays...this is my list and if you don't like what i have in here, go and get lost! RAWR! (kidding, kidding) digicam my ixus75 is nearing its second year and the pictures are not that clear like it used to. i initially wanted to get a DSLR but i am trying to avoid myself getting addicted to acquiring those expensive lens so i'd rather stick with another point and shoot. portable makeup table with lights and mirror i hardly go to gigs these days. so yeah, this would be for personal use. hahahaah! i think this ...

who wouldn't want to get rid of flabby arms and have that firm arms/shoulders that would be the envy of many? And yeah, finally have the guts to wear sleeveless to proudly show to the world how sexy your arms are... well, i can say i am one of those who can't wear sleeveless and be proud of it. aside from the humongous keloid i have on my left shoulder, i have flabby...and i say, FLABBY arms. the keloid i can conceal with makeup, but the flabs...ugh. and then i came across this: looks like an ordinary dumbell? hmmm... i actually got curious and impulsively wanted to get one, until i watched the video: and yeah, that completely changed my mind. LOL! oh well, maybe it's just me. i might just have a dirty mind to start with. have you seen this? or anybody who got one? spill the beans! =)

to all those who are in the Philippines, where were you when the typhoon struck our country? i got lucky that i was out of town for a gig, or else i'd be at home, crying over our car drenched in a waist-deep floodwater. To think that i was having second thoughts of going to that out-of-town gig...but despite of the bad weather, and still hesitant, i went there with my partners. we were actually complaining during the entire trip about how bad the weather is and even planned on going back to the city right after the gig to do something else. but my car got stuck in the mud and we had a hard time getting it out of it, til we decided to just stay for the night. and then we were able to watch the tv bout how bad the flood is...we were shocked. i called the guard of the place where I'm living and they did ask me not to go home because of the waist-deep flood. i almost cried out of shock. family and friends started calling and texting me asking where i am, for they knew that m...

life itself is such a mystery. growing up, i had a lot of questions running in my head. i myself have encountered a lot of obstacles in my life and is still continuing with the battle. i would often ask, "why is life so unfair?" and when i got the chance to (sort of) meet MIO online..i once again asked the same question. (please click on the pic to go to the site and learn more about MIO and his fight against CANCER with his mom) now, i am wondering again...there's no way an innocent child, full of dreams and love deserve to be sick like this. to be raised by a single parent is unfair already (i myself grew up without a dad), how much more to be sick with the big "C." but then again, God won't give us anything we can't handle.
