Have you seen Maleficent?  I did!  And I love it! I can watch it over and over again.  I promise I'll buy the DVD once it comes out.   I know there are people who have been saying the movie's shallow.  But how can (true) love be shallow?  She was betrayed, almost died from it, became bitter and vengeful for sometime, but in the end her heart softens for the child of the same person who betrayed her.     The scenes where she pretends not to care for the child (whom she calls Beastie, LOL!) are just so heartwarming. And ugh, the "true love's kiss" scene is just so surprising!  I initially thought it would be the kiss from Diaval (the bird) that will wake up Aurora.  (laughs) But nah! Temperature was recorded at 43 °C yesterday, no wonder I still felt my cheeks burning when I went out of the office at half past 6pm.  And I heard, it can even rise up to 50 °C on some days. GAH! So this is how summer feels like here in my part of the world.   ^_^ Anyhoo, warmer (humid, even) days are no excuse to look less fabulous.   Dapat kahit mainit, maganda pa din! Barbie or bubblegum pinks are love ,  but this season calls for shades that will bring out that beach goddess in all of us. I have a confession to make…I used to hate summer.  I didn't really like the outdoors.  And I'd gladly bury myself in blanket or layers of clothing during the cold season rather than go basking under the sun and getting a tan.   Oh well, I was that boring! But not anymore.  I love having fair skin but I realized, I look a lot slimmer when I have a tan. (laughs)   During my recent vacation in the Philippines, I was mostly out (went to the beach, did a bit of hiking, rode zip lines, etc) and geesh, I had a great time! So yes, I'd choose to have summer any time.  Besides, if getting sun burnt is the only thing I'd  be worrying about during summer (or any time there is too much sun) , it's nothing that my current holy grail sunblock won't be able to take care of.   And the other thing I love about summer ? The makeup collections that have been coming up! You know, all that bright, summer-y colours that gives even the most sun kiss...

I've always loved Max Factor.  My first product from them is the Pan Stik foundation and I can still remember how amazingly it can cover my nasty blemishes when I first suffered from adult acne years ago.   I also used their Lipfinity, mascaras, eyeliners and even their nail polish! Hi, my loves!  And so I went POOF on a few days again.  But no, it's not because I'm back to studying for another certification exam but because of I've been..well, watching too much TV.   (laughs)  I've recently got copies of The Vampire Diaries and have been watching it like crazy for days.  'twas like I've been glued to my seat and nothing else matters!  LOL.  But the good thing about it is, I haven't been eating much. I guess seeing Damon (the hot Ian Somerhalder) is more than enough to keep me full.  Hahah! I've always loved reading Archie.  I remember saving my allowance just to buy my own copy. Back then, these comics don't come cheap, most especially to a student.  But I didn't mind.
