Product Review: Kerastase Initialiste...

Image
Serums have long been a part of our skincare regimen as it's known to have more concentrated active ingredients than our usual moisturizers.  It penetrates deeper into the skin and gets absorbed a lot quicker too!   Did you know that Kerastase came up with a serum specifically for the scalp?  As we all know, one has to have a healthy scalp to have healthy hair.  Think of our hair as trees, or flowers and our scalp as the soil.  If the soil isn't well taken cared of, the flowers will not  grow healthy.  So to have long, strong and healthy hair, you have to make sure that your scalp is healthy and well-nourished.  With Kerastase Initialiste , the brand's first ever skincare-inspired hair serum, having that long, shiny and strong hair no longer have to be just a dream. Kerastase Initialiste This serum, inspired by stem cells research acts on the four attributes of total hair beauty: 1. Strength  2. Shine  3. Sof...

Kerastase Elixir Ultimate Grands Crus...

Image
If you have straight, fine (worst, limp) hair like mine, I am sure you also tend to stay away from using hair serums.  Most of the hair serums I've tried tend to weigh down my hair, make it look oily (as if I didn't shower for days) and well, smell weird.   Until the Elixir Ultimate Grands Crus from Kerastase: In France, the best wines and champagnes are called "Grands Crus" and in terms of these newest luxe oils from Kerastase, it means when the best elements creates extraordinary products.  The Grands Crus range is a fusion of the award-winning Elixir Ultime (which is being sold every two minutes in the world) and more beautifying extracts.  Each formula is tailor-made to specific hair needs, so everyone would be able to find an elixir suited for their hair type.  And guess what, each scent of each variant has been inspired by luxurious French perfumes! Elixir Ultime (for all hair types) First versatile beautifying treatmen...

Kerastase Chroma Captive launch...

Image
Last month, I got an invite to witness the unveiling of Chroma Captive , a new hair care system from Kerastase that aims to protect hair color intensity for up to 40 days with regular use. Ms. Glowie Ramiro-Robillo , Business Unit Manager of Kerastase Philippines and Laura Charlton , Kerastase Media Advocate, welcomed everybody and shared to everyone how excited they are with the brand's newest line of haircare products.   Laura told us that her clients in their salons are happy that they no longer have to go back that often to have their hair color retouched. Aside from preserving the color, it also gives shine and vitality that are usually lost when hair is being colored often. I am sure that most of you have tried having your hair colored.  I myself have been coloring my hair since college and I often complain that my hair color doesn't last long enough.  Frequent washing, brushing and color oxidation are just  a few reasons why ou...

Kerastase Force Architecte: Hope for my (almost) dying hair!

Image
Five years ago, I used to have really short hair.  I remember a colleague at work telling me that it looks like Rihanna's hair that time. You know, longs bangs and really short at the back.  It might have looked that it's a wash and wear kind of hair...but No. I frequent the salon during those times, getting trims and treatment almost every 2-3wks.  I use a lot of hair products that time and blow dry everyday.   When I started growing my hair long again, I started not putting too much concern on my hair. Eppp, bad I know!  I thought it's okay since I don't get to use much hair products anymore except for some anti-frizz serum.  I don't blow dry my hair that often anymore since my hair's naturally straight and during good hair days, good brushing can already do the trick. So yeah, I've been like that with my hair for a long time...not taking too much concern until I attended a Kerastase event weeks ago.     We learned that a l...
