Majolica Majorca: A Psychedelicious Launch....

Last July 14, the latest collection of Majolica Majorca was officially launched in SM Makati.  I posted a sneak peek on the collection last month and like most of you, it got me all giddy. Majolica Majorca never fails to amaze us with their gorgeous packaging and of course, awesome products that deliver at the same time.  The Psychedelicious collection is by far, their sweetest and yummiest collection.

The event was very festive, colorful and sweet.  There were lots of candies, and other yummy treats.  I can't remember the last time I had cotton candy, but to have it again during the event made me feel like a kid again.  

As always, their packaging looks good enough to eat!

I wonder what it feels like to have a counter like this at home.

Crizal Forte UV Launch in Manila...

 Some weeks ago, I got an invite from Essilor Philippines for the formal launch of Crizal Forte UV Lens.  This new innovation from the world leader in opthalmic optics, is the first clear eyeglass lens that maximize eyes protection against the dangerous UV aggressions from both the front and back surface of the lens, while ensuring the best enduring clarity of vision.  Essilor also introduces "Eye-Sun Protection Factor" or E-SPF for lenses, to increase the consumers awareness about the importance of global UV protection for eyewear.

As soon as I entered the venue (NBC Tent), this mannequin caught my attention. The mannequin is wearing a pair of eyeglasses with different types of lenses on each side (one being the Crizal Forte UV).  This particular setup (plus a guided demo) provided a better understanding on how Crizal UV Forte can protect our eyes from UV rays entering the front and back sides of the lens.

 There were presentations on the importance of making sure that our eyes get protected from the harmful effects of UV rays.  Aside from it accelerates eye ageing, it also causes skin cancer and cataracts, which can eventually lead to blindness.  Most of the lenses available in the market today only offers protection by preventing UV rays from hitting the front side of the lens.  But according to studies, 50% of damaging UV light can come from the back and side of the lens.  Crizal Forte UV offers front, sides, and back protection from these (super) damaging UV rays without sacrificing clarity of vision with their Broad Spectrum Technology.

Essilor, to increase consumer awareness about the different types of UV protection for eyes, developed E-SPF (Eye Sun Protection Factor) rating system, inspired by the systems used to rate skincare and sunscreen products efficiency. So from now on, we need to check SPF on whatever skincare or beauty product we'll be using and E-SPF on lens we will be using for our reading glasses.

LOTD: (Almost) Bobbi Brown Look

Bobbi Brown is known in bringing out the natural beauty of women, with looks ranging from simple to dramatic.  Whenever I think of Bobbi Brown, I think of earth colors, amazing foundations which effectively covers imperfections without looking like you've been masked, creamy lip colors and long-staying blushes.  Of course the brand offers a lot more, but that's to name a few which I've personally tried.

I have a number of Bobbi Brown items in my stash and I think it's only now that I decided to use most of them in a look.  You know I'm starting to love neutral eye shadows and Bobbi Brown is indeed the best (so far) when it comes that.  I am also loving their new foundation, the Long Wear Even Finish liquid foundation, which I often reach out for whenever I want to be assured of flawless looking the entire day.  Almost flawless looking I mean, no thanks to my ever visible skin imperfections, Booh!

AVON's Shine Attract Lipsticks..

I prefer colored lip balms or lip stains just because I hate the heavy feeling on the lips.  So when this new line of lipsticks from AVON has been launched a few months back, I just knew I would love to have them.   

So when I got a package from AVON,  my heart skipped a beat and WHOA, they sent me 10 Shine Attract lipsticks to try!  Giddy, giddy!

Okay, I did say I got 10, right?  Apparently, they gave me 2 Fuschia Flare which I certainly don't mind because that's one of the shades I love! Other are Guava, Happy Pink, Passionate Red and would you believe, Fever!?

 

 I like them so much that I've been using them a lot these days.  They don't last too long though, probably a good 2-3hrs or so, but those darker shades leave a bit of a stain which is fine (at least for me!)  I don't mind reapplying once it begins to fade on my lips because it really does moisturize.
