Makeup Look: Amped Up Neutrals

Image
And just like that, it's Sunday once again!  While my loves back in PH are still enjoying their weekend, us here in this part of the world are already back to work. If you don't know it yet, work week here in the UAE is from Sunday until Thursday and for weekends, we have Friday and Saturday.  For today, let me share with you another (boring) neutral makeup look.  I tried amping it up with false eyelashes, which by the way is becoming a must-have in my makeup looks these days. For me, gone are the days when wearing falsies are only for special occasions. Falsies here are so usual with most women anyway and yes, I no longer have judgmental people around here when it comes to girls with makeup. Makeup Look: Neutrals...

And so I am back with my (boring) make up looks!  But hopefully, you'd bear with me because I so missed putting on makeup after months of just staying at home. Honestly, I think my so-called makeup skills have gone rusty. And I need to practice more. Unfortunately, I don't think I'd be back to doing makeup on other people soon so I only have myself to practice on.   I'm glad that most women in the office where I work wear makeup, so I'm not really the odd (wo)man out. (laughs)  And I don't think they would get shocked should I decide to wear my "Happy Friday" (now called Happy Thursday) look everyday either. So hopefully, I'd be back to wearing colourful makeup looks soon.  And maybe, just maybe, have time to do tutorials again.  Yes? For a start, how about some neutrals?  (What! Neutrals again!??) I know right. Hahaha! But that's just to get the ball rolling.  Hopefully. ^_^ K-Palette Lasting 2-way Eyeb...

My "I'm just cooking dinner" Makeup Look...

Image
When I was still working, one thing that I always look forward to everyday is…not going to work, of course (laughs) , but putting on makeup. No matter how sleepy I am (because I would only get to sleep no more than 4hrs everyday), I always get perky when it's time to primp up.  It's like therapy for me.  I've always liked playing with my makeup. And I'm sure a lot of you can relate.   Now that I'm just at home most of the time (in short, domesticated, plain housewife LOL) , I don't get to play with my toys that much anymore. If they have feelings, I'm pretty sure they are getting  tampo already.  So I asked myself, why not wear makeup even when I'm just preparing dinner? Hahah. At least, I'll be more inspired to whip up a good meal when I feel pretty. Right!? And so I did!   For this look,  I used my  Bobbi Brown Twilight Pink Lip and Eye palette .  The gorgeous palette have been sitting for a while now and so I figured, it...

FOTD: Neutrals

Ola! It's Thursday, and a day to go, it's the weekend! I'm particularly excited for this coming weekend because of two things:  1) No weekend work, because 2) It's my birthday! ^_^ Yesssss, I am turning 25 this Sunday.  Sorry, but I decided my age would stop at 25, no violent reactions please! (laughs) Now, I really understand why most women would rather shut up when asked what their age is. I used to wonder why, and now, I'm one of them. Well, in my case, I won't be mum about it...I'll lie na lang! Haha. Anyways, here's another (boring) FOTD.   Happy Thursday, y'all! For the women on the move: Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks...

Image
When Bobbi Brown came up with their Long-Wear Cream Eyeshadows   (see my feature look here ) , it became an instant favorite in my makeup arsenal.  It's your best bet if you're a (kikay) woman who's always on the move.  And just when you thought things couldn't get any better with Bobbi Brown, they launched their Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks . Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick Effortless and high impact-that's the essence of NEW Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick. This do-it-all formula glides on tug-free and can be used to shade, define, smoke up and highlight eyes. In subtle to eye-popping shades that last for up to 8 hours without creasing, flaking or fading, it's a stroke of genius. Just swipe on and go. I got the shade in Sand Dune: Sand Dune is a lovely, warm peachy-nude shade.  It's such a pretty lid-color that can you can wear on its own, or as a base to your darker shades of eye shadows.   I apply this ...

FOTD: Neutrals with a kick of blue...

Weee!! Hello, first Friday of April! A month to go and it's gonna be my 25th birthday! Opps, don't you dare burst my bubble...I am turning 25, period! ^_^ Anyway, I realized that it's been a while since I last posted an FOTD.  So here's a look I did a couple of days ago.  I've finally used my MAC Archie liner in Petrol Blue after weeks of trying not to...hahaha, I didn't want to use it because I don't want to sharpen the cute  little thing!   But I did.  Well, it's just too pretty...it's the perfect dark navy liner with shimmers.  Really intense pigmentation and glides on like silk.  I'm just sort of worried that this won't last me too long because with it's soft, creamy texture, I would always have to sharpen it after each use.  I was afraid that it might smudge on me but surprisingly, it didn't.   K-Palette Long Lasting Eyebrow L'oreal eyepencil Majolica Majorca Lash and Brow Colorist  UDPP Urba...

Looks: Neutrals (for the nth time!)

TGIF! Are you excited for the weekend?  Me, sort of!  Well, I still have to work on Saturday but on Sunday, I'll be with my family for a trip up North!  Dig this, we'll leave early morning and hear mass in Manaoag then we'll go up to Baguio for...lunch! (laughs) And then we'll drive back home and on Monday, I'll be back to Manila.  Crazy, right? But I'm excited!  It's been a while since we've last gone to Baguio.  We don't have much time hence, we can't spend at least an overnight there, but since Manaoag is just a 2hr drive to Baguio, we might as well do it.   I'd be sleeping during the trip anyways so, I'll be fine...I think!? ^_^ By the way, I'm glad you like my previous look.  So now, we're back to my (boring) neutrals... Easy eye makeup (photo) tutorial...

Image
Here's an easy eye makeup that I usually do when I'm in a hurry.  In this tutorial, I use only one lid color and another to blend out the harsh lines. Start with a clean eye area: Apply primer on the entire lid area (UDPP): Using your ring finger, sweep Bobbi Brown Longwear Cream Shadow in Beach Bronze on the lid: Blend the cream shadow using upward strokes Apply MAC e/s in Bamboo using a fluffy brush in wiping motion (crease area): Line the upper lashlines (K-Palette eyeliner in Black): Lighten the color of the brows using Majolica Majorca Brow and Lash Colorist: Curl lashes: Apply two coats of mascara (Shu Uemura Ultimate Natural Mascara): To lighten the undereye area, apply Revlon Colorstay Brightener + Primer and blend in dabbing motion: Set using powder (NYX Flat But Not Matte in Nude):  Lash the lower water lines using Kryolan in 901: ...
