Kiss-proof Your Lips with Rimmel Provocalips 1Hr Kiss Proof Lip Colour

People say that one should not expect. So when things go the way you want them to be, you wouldn't end up being disappointed, hurt, or angry even. But I think it's human nature to expect or at least hope for something better. In as much as we don't want to make ourselves believe on something good that will  happen, because we don't want to get disappointed just in case they don't, we still do.  And no matter how much we say we won't get hurt in case things don't work on our favor, we still do.  Geesh, is it just me or  sadyang lang talaga maging normal na tao? I've expected a few things over the weekend, and well, I ended up disappointed.  I don't even want to elaborate about it but if there's one thing that didn't fail on my expectations, it would be these Provocalips lipcolors from Rimmel. (let's just talk about makeup na lang , shall we?) ^_^ I went gaga over the brand's Apocalips Lip Lacquers last year (review  here ) that ...

Viseart Lip Palette in Muse Nude 01: Swatches + Review...

I surely hope that by now you already know that when it comes to lip color, I love nudes. To date, my favourites would include MAC Peachstock, Rimmel Undressed and The Morning After from Happy Skin.  Take me to the lipsticks section in a makeup counter and you'd see me trying on different shades of nudes. I still think they look better on me than bright pinks or reds. Maybe you'd say I'm boring, but well, that's just how I am when it comes to lip color. I remember one time when I actually wished for a lipstick palette with all nude shades in it.  I did come up with a DIY lipstick palette in the past but because I ought to use it for my makeup gigs, it has a variety of shades in it.  I did think of creating a palette of nudes too, but my katamaran got in the way and so I never got the chance to do it. So, I'm pretty sure you know how ecstatic I was when I finally got hold of my wish…a lipstick palette of Nude shades! Viseart Lip Palette in Muse Nude 01 ...

L'oreal Infallible Two-Step Lipstick in Red Infallible...

Image
I am not a fan of lipsticks.  Because 1) I tend to lick/bite my lips often and so I end up messing up my lip color,  2) I rarely come across a lipstick that doesn't feel heavy on the lips or makes my lips dry and lastly, 3) I don't usually touch up after I put my makeup in the morning so if the lipstick isn't really long-wearing, my lips would be bare in 1-2hrs. So when I won this L'oreal Infallible 2-Step lipstick from a contest in Instagram (which took almost 3 months to get it, bleh!) I thought it could be the answer to a polished-looking lips all throughout the day.   L'oreal Infallible 2-Step Lipstick in Red Infallible According to the L'oreal website, this is their first long wear 2-step lip colour with hyaluronic gel for 24HR triple action:  All day smoothness for colour that never dries All day hydration for endless comfort All day resistance for colour that never fades

Just Another Perfect MLBB Shade: Rimmel London Lipstick in Undressed...

People tell me to always be positive.  Some would even say, " If you want something, claim it! " And so I tried.  But WTH, it does hurt so much more pala when you fail after. It's a lot easier when you don't expect too much, or have some doubts at least.  If you somehow think negatively, and things turn out to be positive, ang saya !  But if things still turn out negative despite you being so positive about it, well, it does feel like falling with your face flat on the floor.   I was again hating myself a few days back because of another failure.  I felt like I'm the dumbest person on earth and that the universe is against me.  And so I told myself that well, maybe I'm better off being negative after all. I used to be like that, and things still turn out to be in my favor. Or maybe, my so-called "luck" has finally ran out?  Sigh. I don't know.  For now, I'm just holding on to the thought that HE has other plans for...

Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lipstick in True Pink….

Ask me what's the best lipstick out there for me and I'll say MAC Peachstock without batting an eyelash.  I know it's peachy nude in shade, but what can I do…I just love it to bits.  I can't remember how many tubes I've finished already.  I just love how it looks when worn alone or even when topped with a lipgloss.  It remains to be a universal shade…at least for me!  ^_^ Last year, I was introduced to MAC Please Me and so my Peachstock had to take the backseat.  I'm on my second tube and I'm 100% sure I'll be getting another tube even before this second one runs out.   As one of my New Year (beauty) Resolutions, I will try to be more adventurous when it comes to lipsticks.  Or at least try to sneak out of my comfort zone once in a while. I know, I know I've said this already before but wag nyo muna akong kontrahin , okay?  I'll try my best this time. (laughs)  So expect to see some lipstick lovin' on this ...

The Body Shop Colour Crush Lipsticks...

Months ago, The Body Shop launched a new line of lipsticks called Colour Crush that is said to have replaced their Colour Glide lipsticks.  There are 24 shades available split into groups of reds, pinks and browns. The Body Shop Colour Crush Lipsticks According to The Body Shop website, these lipsticks give a stunning pop of color and rich moisture and are infused with a subtle rose scent. For today, I'll be sharing with you swatches of the two shades that I got (thanks a bunch, Dinna!) and a bit of review.

Colour Collection Vitamin E Lipsticks: Swatches + Review...

Image
And I'm back again with another Colour Collection lipsticks post!  I'm not a lippie-kind of person but these babies make me want to reconsider.  Read the rest of the post and check out the gorgeous swatches to know why! ^_^ It comes in a shiny black, sleek packaging that doesn't break easily when dropped (I should know, I've dropped some of the tubes for so many times during product shooting hahah!)  You'll hear a click when you close the tube, a sort of good signal that the cap won't come off on its own whilst inside your bag.  It opens easily though, so don't worry bout sweating it when trying to open it. The Vitamin E lipsticks are available in 3 formulations:  Sheer, Matte and Satin.  Check out the swatches: Electra (Matte) A lovely matte red-orange for those who want to try going red, but not too red.  It's an instant face brightener, making you look fresh and polished. Kissmark (Matte) A matte...

Colour Collection Ultimate Wear Lipsticks: Swatches and Review...

Last May, I was so lucky to be a part of the makeup team for Rajo Laurel's Metro Wear Fashion Show .  I can say that it's one of my favorite makeup gig to date.  I've seen what happens in a fashion show, the behind the scenes and during the actual fashion show.  And it's not just a fashion show...but a fashion show by one of the best in the fashion industry.  I can still remember how Rajo would warmly smile whenever we would come across him that day. He made sure that not only his models, but also the makeup team, everybody is having a good time and that we're all well-fed.  He even ordered for Pritchon and told everyone that wine's available too.   Hayy..I'll definitely miss doing makeup gigs. Hopefully, I can still do more when I'm somewhere else na.  Anyways, I'd like to thank May of Colour Collection for that opportunity.  She'd been giving me and my good friend, Mich, a lot of great gigs.  And not only that, she (and Tupperw...

Makeup Project: Lipstick Palette...

Can you believe it's April already!?  How's your long weekend?  I hope you had a blast.  In my case, I went home to the province and stayed with my family. We haven't tried going out during Holy Week, unless it is to hear mass or to check out the "senakulo."  So yeah, I  mostly stayed at home, doing what I do best...sleeping and eating!  (laughs)  So don't get surprised if you'd see me all plumped up!    Besides, vacation is all about that right!?   ^_^ Well, I also did something productive naman.  Aside from reviewing for an upcoming exam (wish me luck, please!), I also did something that I've been wanting to do so for a long time.  I am not much of a lipstick person, but I still buy for my clients' use...well, of course aside from my usual MAC Peachstock (my forever favorite shade!) I also get samples from friends from makeup brands so I have quite a collection already.  My fellow makeup artists would k...
