Rimmel Oh My Gloss! in Go Gloss or Go Home and Snog

Image
Are you a lip gloss kind of person? I am! For me it's the fastest way to put some colour on your lips without having to worry that you'd look too made up after.  They have a bit of colour and have a lovely, shiny finish.   I'm not really a fan of matte lippies but if ever I wear them, I apply a bit of lipgloss on the middle of my lips. It makes my lips appear fuller and look like I have a perfect pout. I was sent some samples of the Rimmel Oh My Gloss! lip glosses and today I'd be sharing with you some swatches and my thoughts on them.  These lip glosses are part of Rita Ora's collaboration with Rimmel called the Colourfest Lips and Nail Color Collection for 2015 Spring/Summer season. I've posted some information and some swatches of the nail colours in this collection some months ago and if you want to check it out, please click here .    Rimmel Oh My Gloss! Opps, I did it again...I went MIA in updating this blog for weeks.  I know, I know...I've been promising that I would try to update more often but I just keep on breaking that promise.  It's just that a lot have been going on and no matter how hard I try, I keep on losing my focus. I've been worrying too much lately about things and I admit, sometimes I find myself wondering if it's still worth it to keep going on or if it's better to just let go, and accept that maybe, some things aren't just meant for me after all. I'm just human, I also get tired and I tend to lose hope too.   Anyway, I am sorry for messing up your Monday with my kadramahan .  I just need to let some of these out, or else I'd go crazy.  I'm not sure if you still read my full blog entry or you just scan through the post, but if you do and you get to read these lines, please say a little prayer for me.  I really appreciate it, most especially during these times that I ki...

Rimmel Kate Bright Lipstick in Shades 35 and 38

With the temperature rising as high as 38C during the day, it really means that Summer is here in the sandpit.  Though it's not yet as humid, it really feels like the heat is piercing thru the skin. I don't really mind getting a tan, uso yan pag summer eh. Pero ang skit sa balat ng init!   I won't just get a tan, I'd be burnt...toasted, even! So yes, I am not a fan of the summer season.   Lalo ng summer dito sa UAE.   We get a temperature as high as 50C (sometimes, higher pa) so just imagine.   But if there's one thing I like about summer, that would be the array of bright colors that make this season so festive. You know the drill, as the temperature rises, colors go brilliantly bright and as the temperature gets lower, colors go darker. And I'd always go for bright colors. It lifts up the mood and makes everything look so happy and light. Rimmel, probably one of the drugstore brands that makes the best lipsticks out there, came up with the K...

Kiss-proof Your Lips with Rimmel Provocalips 1Hr Kiss Proof Lip Colour

People say that one should not expect. So when things go the way you want them to be, you wouldn't end up being disappointed, hurt, or angry even. But I think it's human nature to expect or at least hope for something better. In as much as we don't want to make ourselves believe on something good that will  happen, because we don't want to get disappointed just in case they don't, we still do.  And no matter how much we say we won't get hurt in case things don't work on our favor, we still do.  Geesh, is it just me or  sadyang lang talaga maging normal na tao? I've expected a few things over the weekend, and well, I ended up disappointed.  I don't even want to elaborate about it but if there's one thing that didn't fail on my expectations, it would be these Provocalips lipcolors from Rimmel. (let's just talk about makeup na lang , shall we?) ^_^ I went gaga over the brand's Apocalips Lip Lacquers last year (review  here ) that ...

Another Rimmel post!? What can I do, this brand is so addicting…and affordable too!  Ever since I got my hands on their eyebrow pencil years ago, I've wanted to try more of their products.  But Rimmel isn't available in PH, and though there are lots of online sellers, I still prefer to see and test the products first before buying.  So just imagine my joy when the nearest supermarket from where I live here in Dubai has Rimmel! If my favourite drugstore brand back in PH is Revlon and L'oreal, then it's got to be Rimmel here in UAE! ^_^ For today, let me share with you my most recent find from Rimmel. I'm sure you've read a bit (or probably, a lot) about this already because I think they have been around for a time now but I just want to give you my two-cents.       Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquers Combines the colour of a lipstick and lacquer shine of a lip gloss. It's neither a lipstick nor a gloss…it's bigger than both! ...

Rimmel London Salon Pro Nail Polish by Kate in Rock 'N Roll….

I left my collection of nail polishes at home.  And though it isn't that big, it took me years to come up such a collection.  I was not really into nail colours until I started getting samples from brands back in PH and also when Sol started having the most-sought brands of polishes available thru Digitaltraincase .  Well, she got addicted (aren't you still? haahha) to it first then she decided to help her fellow addicts get their hands on them too.   Now, I don't think I'm gonna start with a nail polish collection again soon but I admit, I am checking out some brands that we don't have back home.  And of course, the most accessible to me would be those from Rimmel because it's available in Spinneys, which is by the way my favourite grocery here in Dubai.  If it's not yet our Market Day and I need a few stuff in the kitchen, I go to Spinneys.  But please don't let X know that I check out the cosmetics section first! ^_^ Since I can't...

People tell me to always be positive.  Some would even say, " If you want something, claim it! " And so I tried.  But WTH, it does hurt so much more pala when you fail after. It's a lot easier when you don't expect too much, or have some doubts at least.  If you somehow think negatively, and things turn out to be positive, ang saya !  But if things still turn out negative despite you being so positive about it, well, it does feel like falling with your face flat on the floor.   I was again hating myself a few days back because of another failure.  I felt like I'm the dumbest person on earth and that the universe is against me.  And so I told myself that well, maybe I'm better off being negative after all. I used to be like that, and things still turn out to be in my favor. Or maybe, my so-called "luck" has finally ran out?  Sigh. I don't know.  For now, I'm just holding on to the thought that HE has other plans for...

Product Review: Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Liner...

The first makeup technique that I got to learn was not filling in my brows…and no, not even applying eye shadows..it's lining my eyes!  I remember doing it the first time using my Mom's eyebrow powder compact. LoL!  Of course, I was not yet into the winged-liner thing back then, but I remember trying to extend the line beyond my eye so I'd look chinky-eyed.  So yeah, I've been lining my eyes for years!  So if you think I line my eyes sort of perfectly, it's because of years of practice.  But there are still days when my line becomes wonky…I guess it really depends on how much time you have, and on your mood. ^_^ I've already found my HG eyeliner , but I just love exploring other options.  Besides, there are lots of makeup brands here in Dubai that we don't have back in PH and it would be a shame if I won't give them a try, at least. One of those brands is Rimmel and though available thru online sellers in Manila, I haven't really had t...

FOTD: Sexy Siren...

It's been a while since I last posted an FOTD here.  I stay at home most of the time and even if I go out,   I don't really wear much eye makeup except for my usual winged liner.  So when I reached out for my eyeshadow brushes yesterday (for my Chelsea Grin look) I kinda thought I might have already forgot some things about blending.  But yeah, some things cannot be easily forgotten.  Though it surely helps to do some practice every now and then. Having said that, here's a look I came up with yesterday.  With Halloween just around the corner, I bet you are already thinking of what makeup look to wear for the parties you'd be attending. I know most of us don't really go for the scary/ghostly looks, so here's something you might want to try...I call this the Sexy Siren look.
