I can't remember the last time I held a gorgeous eyeshadow palette, but I'm guessing that the last was the Viseart Matte Eyeshadow palette which I ordered from DTCMakeup a year ago. (gasp) Has it been that long? Wow!    Anyway, today I'd be talking (or writing) about this Nomadic Eyeshadow Palette from the Illamasqua Earth Collection.  It's my first time to try out products from Illamasqua and I must say I am really impressed.    Nomadic Eyeshadow Palette (AED 255)          The palette features 4 beautiful shades in either matte or metallic finish. The shades are: Loam (deep earth green/matte), Terra (clay red/matte), Solitude (grayish taupe/matte) and Gravity (pewter gray/metallic).

Happy Easter, my loves!  So how did you spend the weekend? And just like that, it's Sunday once again!  While my loves back in PH are still enjoying their weekend, us here in this part of the world are already back to work. If you don't know it yet, work week here in the UAE is from Sunday until Thursday and for weekends, we have Friday and Saturday.  For today, let me share with you another (boring) neutral makeup look.  I tried amping it up with false eyelashes, which by the way is becoming a must-have in my makeup looks these days. For me, gone are the days when wearing falsies are only for special occasions. Falsies here are so usual with most women anyway and yes, I no longer have judgmental people around here when it comes to girls with makeup. V-day is in a few days, have you made any plans yet? As to me and Mr. X, I don't think we're going out on the day itself, that is, if he's even planning to take me out on a date.  Let's see what ex-boyfie has in store for me.   I had extra time the other day to play with makeup, so I came up with something that isn't my usual neutrals.  This is something you can wear for your date on V-day, or on any day when you want to look pa-sweet. One thing i love about my workplace here is I don't get stared at when they see me with full makeup on.  Nor hear comments like, "Where's the party?" It's not because all the women wear makeup at work, because I still see a lot of girls in the office who don't wear makeup.  My fellow kabayans from another department don't wear makeup, but they don't make snide remarks, make me feel I'm so different or out of place.  I guess the people I work with now are more open-minded and they respect one's individuality. And those people (at least most of them) I used to work with  before?  Well, inggit lang sila . If not, well, I seriously can't think of another reason why they are like that. Or hmm, maybe they just hate it because I'm not a natural beauty like what they think or claim to be.  Maybe that's just it. So okay, unlike them, I'll try to respect whatever it is they think of themselves.  ^_^ I haven't posted an FOTD ...

And so I am back with my (boring) make up looks!  But hopefully, you'd bear with me because I so missed putting on makeup after months of just staying at home. Honestly, I think my so-called makeup skills have gone rusty. And I need to practice more. Unfortunately, I don't think I'd be back to doing makeup on other people soon so I only have myself to practice on.   I'm glad that most women in the office where I work wear makeup, so I'm not really the odd (wo)man out. (laughs)  And I don't think they would get shocked should I decide to wear my "Happy Friday" (now called Happy Thursday) look everyday either. So hopefully, I'd be back to wearing colourful makeup looks soon.  And maybe, just maybe, have time to do tutorials again.  Yes? For a start, how about some neutrals?  (What! Neutrals again!??) But let's see what he's up to for today.  Tee-hee.  By the way, it's payday weekend + V-day for you there back in PH, so if you're going out on a date later, be prepared to be caught in traffic!  But as long as you'd get caught in traffic with that special someone in your life, I don't think that would be a problem. When I was still working, one thing that I always look forward to everyday is…not going to work, of course (laughs) , but putting on makeup. No matter how sleepy I am (because I would only get to sleep no more than 4hrs everyday), I always get perky when it's time to primp up.  It's like therapy for me.  I've always liked playing with my makeup. And I'm sure a lot of you can relate.   Now that I'm just at home most of the time (in short, domesticated, plain housewife LOL) , I don't get to play with my toys that much anymore. If they have feelings, I'm pretty sure they are getting  tampo already.  So I asked myself, why not wear makeup even when I'm just preparing dinner? Hahah. At least, I'll be more inspired to whip up a good meal when I feel pretty. Right!? Out with the old, in with the new.  With Pantone , the global authority on colour, it simply means goodbye Emerald and hello to Radiant Orchid as the year's colour.   Radiant Orchid , a harmonious combination of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, is said to symbolize confidence, power, sexiness and vitality.    Aside from Emerald being my birthstone, another reason why I love the colour is that it looks so great on my eyes.  It complements my brown eyes perfectly.  But, purple (as I would simply want to describe Radiant Orchid), is the next best thing to match those brown eyes.   Checkout a few of the makeup looks I've done in the past using purples.  I'm sure I have more but these are just a few of my favourites.

A few days to go and it's Christmas! It's my first time to celebrate Christmas away from my family, so I'm not really in a very festive mood.  But it'll be my first time to celebrate Christmas with the hubby after so many years so that would make up for it.  Hopefully next year, we'll be home for the holidays.  Iba talaga ang Pasko sa Pinas (Christmas is really different in the Philippines), and I'm sure kabayans will totally agree with me on that!
