my weekend loot...

Image
thanks to mom who attended their annual fitness convention, i spent the entire weekend in a hotel room, left with nothing to do but sleep, eat, watch tv and soak in a bubble bath. i was kidding mom that i am loving that kind of life...so when it was time to check out, i was like "but i'll be missing my room!" we had snacks at the mall and then mom decided to take a look inside Beauty Bar. i had no stuff to buy in mind but when i saw this brush, i asked mom to get it for me. Smashbox Bent Eyeliner i remember Smashbox to be the first brand of imported cosmetics that i got addicted to...and then i switched to MAC. the best part of this purchase is this: good deal, huh!? i browsed the net for some information on my new brush but i wasn't able to find any. the bent eyeliner at their website is this one: Apply liner like a pro with our best-selling precision brush. The same brush head as our popular EYE LINER BRUSH #8 with an ergonomic bend to conform to the shape of the ey...

Happy Friday look + Tutorial: Smouldering Smokey Blue

Image
I was feeling blue last Friday, so i decided to wear a dark smokey-ish blue for my "not-so-happy" Friday look. Also, i was inspired by xteener's youtube video tutorial i saw the night before...so here's my version, i hope you like it: 1. Start by priming your lids with a primer. I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance topped with MAC paint pot in Soft Ochre 2. Apply NYX jumbo eyeshadow pencil in Pacific all over lids. This would also serve as a base for your powdered eyeshadow and to help it become more vibrant. Blend it using fingers and don't worry if it's not perfect. 3. Using a flat shader blush, apply MAC Freshwater on the lids. Then using a big blending brush, blend it to get rid of harsh lines 4. Using a medium blending brush, apply MAC Carbon on the outer-V and pull it up until the crease. Blend it with Freshwater 5. Line the waterlines with Revlon Colorstay eyeliner in Blackest Black and using a smudger brush, smudge MAC Carbon on the lower lashlines. Then ...

Grapes, anyone?

do you love grapes? well, I DO! I think i can take as much as a kilo in one sitting... (yup, i do eat like a pig!) last Tuesday, mom went to Manila and we spent the whole day bonding together. we ate at California Pizza Chicken and then did some shopping. and for this special mother-daughter date, i decided to wear the colors of one of my favorite fruits...GRAPES! MUFE Brow Corrector in 0 TFSI + MAC paintpot in Soft Ochre MAC Juxt on the lid, MAC Parfait Amour on the outer-V and crease and MAC Shroom as highlight Maybelline Cat Eyes mascara Revlon Colorstay liner on the waterlines and lashlines Smashbox photofinish primer Christian Dior Nude foundation in Cameo MAC MSF Natural in Light Medium MAC blush in Dainty MAC Sculpt and Shape MUFE HD Finishing Powder MAC Peachstock lipstick topped with MAC Tri-colour lipglass in Tasty and i was actually thinking if there happen to have other colors of grapes aside from these two... :) and yeah, we did a little shopping: i was able to try L...

Happy Friday look + Tutorial...

Image
and here's my promise to come up with a "colored" eyemakeup tutorial...not that colorful, though. at least, it's not neutral. :) the colors i've used for my eye makeup: all colors from my 120-color Manly palette except for #4 which is MAC Shroom 1. Using MAC 239, apply color #1 on the entire lid. Then using a big blending brush (MAC 224) blend the edges to get rid of the harsh line: 2. Using MAC 217, apply color #2 on top of #1. 3. Using a Q-tip, fix the shape of the eyelid color...just in case you mess up, like me. lol 4. Using a smaller blending brush like MAC 222, apply color #3 on the outer-V then blend... 5. Using another shader brush, apply color #4 as highlight. I originally used MAC Gorgeous Gold but found it too yellow as a highlight...so i changed it to Shroom 6. Apply liner on the upper lashlines. I've used MAC Penultimate liner. I think i really messed up with my line here...see, it's wonky! 7. Apply black liner on the waterline and...
