Keep Your Crowning Glory At Its Best, with Davines Nounou Shampoo And Conditioner...

Image
I got another haircut today. And to my surprise, the hairstylist praised my hair because here in UAE, it's not usual for one's hair to stay healthy most especially if it has been chemically treated.  I had my hair coloured more than a month ago (the same day I got a haircut) but despite the drying effect of water here and the wax I put on everyday, my hair color still looks like I just had it done.   I've tried a lot of shampoos and conditioners here in UAE but I think I've found the perfect duo for my hair: Davines NouNou Nourishing Illuminating Shampoo and Conditioner NouNou means Nourishing, as this specific Davines line is best suited for treated and colored hair.

Don't you just love the smell of freshly washed hair?  Whenever I wash my hair with the Bed Head Styleshots Hi-Def Curls shampoo and conditioner, my hair smells so good I want to eat it. Ugh, okay I might be exaggerating. (laughs) But sometimes I'd still do a chore or two after taking a shower…like say, cooking!  And so by the time the hubby comes home, gives me a peck on the cheek and catches a whiff of my hair, he'd be like, " what smell is that? " Imagine the worse when you'd be sauté-ing with onions or cooking fish.  Eww.   I used to have the same issue when I was still working.  I get out of the office for my noon break and go back with my hair smelling exactly what I had for lunch. LoL!  I bet you've had those experiences too! So what do I do? Sometimes I'll just put my hair up in a bun, so nobody would be able to smell and start guessing what I had for lunch.  Or, I'll spritz some perfume on my hair…which is actually a no-no, becaus...

Purity Med Spa Grand Opening...

Everybody needs a time to rejuvenate and be pampered once in a while to break away from all the crazy things at work,  or even at home.  When I was still working, I remember looking forward to one full day when I can finally get a facial, a hair treatment or colour, mani-pedi and even squeeze in a body scrub/massage.  Too bad, such days didn't come often.  But whenever it does, expect not to be able to get any replies from me should you try to reach me.  It's a day I call, my "Me Day."   I love going to Spas.  Well, who doesn't?  So when I got an invite for the grand opening of Purity Med Spa at Al Wasl Road a few weeks back, I just couldn't say No.  I'm not really stressed since I'm still not working, but it would  be nice to know some good places I could run to once stress starts kicking in again. ^_^   Purity Medi Spa offers an extensive selection of elite treatments to their women-only clientele. Ever...

If you've had the same hair style for practically most of your life, I'm sure you'd grow tired of it eventually.  I had straight hair for more than 33 years and when I say straight, I mean really straight, that people would sometimes ask me if I had it rebonded.  My hair wasn't perfect though, it's fine (baby-fine)  and really prone to dryness most especially on the ends.  Early this year, I took a leap of faith and finally decided to have my hair permed .  Do I regret it?  Not really, because I quite enjoy having a look different from what I had for years.  But I just wish I don't have to deal with frizziness all the time.   And to add to that, I also suffer from hairfall,  in which  Kerastase Initialiste  was able to help me for a time until I finally emptied the bottle.  Yaiks!  I am trying out another product and so far, my hairfall has been lessened.  I'll continue to use it and will come back with a review soo...

Product Review: Kerastase Initialiste...

Serums have long been a part of our skincare regimen as it's known to have more concentrated active ingredients than our usual moisturizers.  It penetrates deeper into the skin and gets absorbed a lot quicker too!   Did you know that Kerastase came up with a serum specifically for the scalp?  As we all know, one has to have a healthy scalp to have healthy hair.  Think of our hair as trees, or flowers and our scalp as the soil.  If the soil isn't well taken cared of, the flowers will not  grow healthy.  So to have long, strong and healthy hair, you have to make sure that your scalp is healthy and well-nourished.  With Kerastase Initialiste , the brand's first ever skincare-inspired hair serum, having that long, shiny and strong hair no longer have to be just a dream. Kerastase Initialiste This serum, inspired by stem cells research acts on the four attributes of total hair beauty: 1. Strength  2. Shine  3. Sof...
