Easy Foil Nail Art Using Ciate Very Colorfoil Manicure Kit

Image
Are you fond of doing nail arts?  I once was, but I don't think I have the talent for it unlike some people I know. But from time to time, I still try to do it and if ever I fail, I just charge it to experience. ^_^ Weeks ago, I was sent a sample of a manicure kit from Ciate.  I've been seeing Ciate in Sephora but never really gotten myself into checking it out. I know that they are famous with the caviar manicure, which I honestly find cute but unless you don't do house chores and a whole lot of other stuff, then I find it impractical.  But of course our nails do deserve some special treat from time to time (and so are we, yes!?) So don't be surprised if one day you'd see me with a caviar manicure. (wink wink) Anyway, what I got is this Colourfoil Manicure Kit in Kaleidoscope Klash which is a part of Ciate's Top Manicure picks.  Very Colourfoil Manicure in Kaleidoscope Klash  (AED 145) This is a limited edition and is inspi...

Nail Art: Spray Water Marble...

Image
Hiyee!   How's Monday treating you so far?  I'm kinda hoping it's still a weekend..as I miss watching my fave series as of the moment,The Vampire Diaries!  I know, I'm so late since I'm just on the last episodes of Season 1, but I'm getting there. LoL!   And can I just say, Damon is sooooo cute!  I love his smoldering eyes... ^_^ Anyways, I wanna show you this nail art that I've learned from my former classmate in HS who's so good in doing nail art.  Her name is Mia, go check her Instagram account nailsbymiawrrr.  Her works are amazing! By the way, here's what I came up with: And here's how I did it: 1. Apply primer (Revlon) and your base polish (Orly in Liquid Vinyl) of choice.  2.  On a disposable cup with warm water, put a few drops of another shade of polish of your choice. I chose Orly in Cotton Candy.  When you have the circle of polish in the water, spray some cologne (or any spray, I chose ...

Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy and Expressionist...

Image
I miss doing nail art.  I remember when I got so into it, I would change my polish as often as every other day.  I wish I can do it as often, but well, I simply can't. Good to know that a lot of brands are now coming up with nail polishes that can be used to create nail arts easier.  I've tried the BYS Glitter Dust for Nails  and it's such an easy way to have glamorous, red carpet-worthy tips in no time.   And then I got these nail art polishes from Revlon, which I'll be showing you for today's post... Revlon Moon Candy in Orbit Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy in Moon Dust These Moon Candy Nail Art polishes has a creme polish at one end and another end with iridescent flakies. The creme polishes are really opaque that one coat is already enough. Now to apply the flakies on top of your base can be difficult and quite messy.  First because it can be hard to get a good amount on the brush.  I actually kept on putting the brush ...

NOTD: Brushed...

Here's another attempt on nail art: Okay, this may not look like "art" (laughs). It didn't actually come up like what I have in mind, but I just got too lazy to start over again...so pinanindigan ko na! LOL. Turned out, some people liked it.  And well, I like it too.  Love your own, yes!? ^_^ How I did it: 1.  I applied base coat (Revlon) 2. Two coats of rosy beige polish (NYX) as base 3. Dip the ends of a fan brush on a purple shade, and then sweep on the nail starting from the right side going to the left (or from Left to Right) then vice-versa.   4.  Let it dry for a minute then do the same with a pink and then a white shade of polish 5. Finish with a top coat Last weekend, I was so happy because my nails got featured in Manila Bulletin! The feature was made by Jane Kingsu-Cheng , and it was about nail art.  I was featured together with Nikki who happened to be my inspiration in trying out nail art.  I may no...

NOTD: (Cute) Ghosts...

Image
Who said Halloween should always be scary?  And that ghosts can't be cute? Here's a nailart I did for this Halloween.  I got the design online, and since I am just a newbie in doing nailart, I just copied. ^_^ BOOOH! And the polishes I've used: Revlon Wet n Wild, Max Factor, Zoya Polished! by Bobbie and again, here are these cute little ghosts saying: "Happy Halloween!" I hope you like it! We're on a holiday today, and probably most of you are now at the cemetery to visit your loved ones who passed away already.  Let's all take time to pray for their souls and reminisce the times spent with them.  Be safe everyone! NOTD: Animal prints...

This nail art is by far the easiest to do: ....thank God for nail strips! ^_^ I bought a set of nail strips at Landmark last week for P199, and it has 20 strips in the box.  It would be a lot easier if my nails are of the same size with that of the strips, I had to cut them down to my size.  You should also be careful in sticking the strip onto the nails to prevent bubbles and to make sure they stick on evenly. Then top with your fave top coat and you're good. It's been 5 days already and they still look good. So yeah, I might buy more of these nail strips but would probably use them on special occasions and when I can't count on my "talent" with nail art. ^_^ It's Monday again my lovelies, I hope we would all have a great week! NOTD: Zebra (with a twist)

Image
...because there's no such thing as a red zebra! ^_^ A originally planned of using white, but I realized that I don't have a white nail polish! BOOH! polishes used I find it cute.  Don't you?   I might do this again, but on a white base. ^_^ Please like me on Facebook ( IambrigittePage ) and follow me on Twitter ( Iamsutil ) and Instagram (Iambrigitte)

NOTD: Gold and Purple Ombre...

Image
After several attempts, I find that "ombre nails" has got to be the easiest to do...well, at least among the other designs that I've tried. ^_^ So here's another one: Nail polishes used:   Orly (Frosted White - used as base), Orly (Gold), China Glaze (Purple) China Glaze (primer), Revlon (fast dry top coat) Thanks Mom for letting me use her Shiseido makeup sponge!  Sorry that you just had to throw it away after. ^_^ Please like me on Facebook ( IambrigittePage ) and follow me on Twitter ( Iamsutil ) and Instagram (Iambrigitte)

NOTD: Dripping paint...

Image
The first time I saw samples of this nail art design, I've wanted to make one for myself.  But honestly, I had no idea how to do it.  I first thought I just need to leave a huge blob of polish and let it drip by itself.  But I didn't know it's a lot easier than I thought. Here's how: First, I applied by base coat.  I find this a very important step, as it really helps prevent my nails from turning yellowish.   Next, I applied 2 coats of the pink polish (Max Factor Glossfinity).  Let it dry.  Then I apply a thicker coat on the tips of my nails (Max Factor mini nails in purplish blue), no need to make sure you apply it evenly.  Now for the dripping effect, drag the polish from the tip going to the base using a dotting tool.  Again, let it dry and then apply top coat. I swear, this is easy.  So far, this is the easiest among all the nail art designs I've tried. I hope you like it! Please like me on Fa...

NOTD: (Sort of) Galaxy...

Image
Does this really look like the galaxy or the skies to you? ^_^ Anyways, I've used a fan brush to come up with the "ombre" effect.  I applied the black first using the usual nail polish brush.  And then using a fan brush, I applied the light blue first, waited for it to dry and then using the fan brush again, I applied the purple.  And then topped everything with glitter polish.  And of course, a top coat. I hope you like it! Please like me on Facebook ( IambrigittePage ) and follow me on Twitter ( Iamsutil ) and Instagram (Iambrigitte)

NOTD: Playful...

Image
And so here's another attempt on doing nail art: I used polishes from Majolica Majorca (Beige), Sky Blue (Orly), Green (Caronia), Pink (Revlon), Orange (Beauty and Butter), Purple and Black (Wet n Wild).   There's some chipping already as these photos were taken 3days after I did the nail art.  And yes, it's messy.  I need to find better nail brushes, most especially those intended for outlining.  I'm enjoying doing nail art, but I prefer doing it on somebody else's nails. (laughs)  I need more practice on doing it on myself.  And I really mean MORE. I hope you like it! NOTD: Leopard-inspired nails...

Yes, my leopard happens to be a silver one. ^_^ Please like me on Facebook ( IambrigittePage ) and follow me on Twitter ( Iamsutil ) and Instagram (Iambrigitte)

NOTD: Dots

Image
And so I got my dotting tools last week, I was so excited that I used it as soon as I got home.  So yeah, I skipped dinner and played with my nails instead. (laughs) I know the dots are supposed to be all of the same size...maybe a few more tries, and I'll get there. ^_^ Some have asked me why I am trying to do nail arts lately.  Well, it's just that I've always wanted to learn how to do it. Actually, I want to learn a few more things...like haircutting, haircoloring, maybe rebonding and curling too!  And of course, I also want to learn new techniques in doing makeup.  It's always good to learn new things, right? Hopefully my nail art attempts would get a lot better soon. Happy Sunday, everyone! Please like me on Facebook ( IambrigittePage ) and follow me on Twitter ( Iamsutil ) and Instagram (Iambrigitte)
