Product Review: Sleek Be Beautiful Blemish Balm...

I've been on Obagi Nuderm regimen for more than 3 months now and I'm glad my skin isn't as problematic as it was last year.  I rarely get pimples now (knocks on wood) and the scars are a lot less visible.  My skin looks more refined, too!  Of course there are still days when my skin will still go gaga, most especially when I haven't had much sleep or when I've been eating too much junk food.  But yes, I am happy with my skin now and hopefully, it stays that way. ^_^ Now that my skin is at its happier state, I don't use heavy foundations as much as before.  I try to let my skin breathe and stay away from putting layers of bases.  Before, I apply a primer, liquid foundation, concealer then set everything with a heavy coverage powder just to make sure I keep those nasty blemishes from saying hello to the world! (laughs) But now, I prefer using light bases like tinted moisturizers or BB creams.  When set with a light dusting of p...

Who says you can't wear makeup at home?  And who dare says you can't sport dark smokey eyes while cooking dinner?? Says who!? Come forth and I'll slit your throat! I'm kidding, of course! ^_^ Here's a look I came up with just because I got so bored looking Au Naturel (totally no makeup on) on most days.  And yeah, I whipped up this look just before I start preparing dinner. FOTD: Sexy Siren...

Image
It's been a while since I last posted an FOTD here.  I stay at home most of the time and even if I go out,   I don't really wear much eye makeup except for my usual winged liner.  So when I reached out for my eyeshadow brushes yesterday (for my Chelsea Grin look) I kinda thought I might have already forgot some things about blending.  But yeah, some things cannot be easily forgotten.  Though it surely helps to do some practice every now and then. Having said that, here's a look I came up with yesterday.  With Halloween just around the corner, I bet you are already thinking of what makeup look to wear for the parties you'd be attending. I know most of us don't really go for the scary/ghostly looks, so here's something you might want to try...I call this the Sexy Siren look. Playing With Makeup: Arabic

Image
It's been a while since I last did a full face makeup.  For almost two months, I've been skipping the eye makeup except for the liner and mascara so I got a bit worried that my blending skills might have been rusty already.  So when I got really bored the other day, I decided to play with makeup and come up with something suitable for where I am now... Yes, my loves..for those who don't know yet, I am now in UAE! ^_^ FACE: Lancome Perfecting Makeup Primer Product Review: Naturactor Cover Face Graftobia HD Pro Powder Foundation in Alabaster Baby Sleek Contour Kit in Medium (contour and highlight) MAC blush in Tippy EYES: KPalette Long Lasting Eye Brow In2it Eyebrow powder Urban Decay Anti-aging Eye Primer Potion MAC eyeshadows in Amber Lights (entire lid, lower lash lines), Beauty Marked and Carbon (outer-V), Jest and Sushi Flower (crease) KPalette Long Lasting Eyeliner in Black 3S Lashes in Whispering LIPS: MAC lipst...

FOTD: Orangey-Reds...

Image
Have you ever worn orange red-toned eyeshadows?  For a time, I stayed away from them because they can make the eyes (or worse, the face) look swollen and tired. When used properly, these eye shadows can still make you look fresh and fab without having to look clown-y or haggard. For today's FOTD post, I used orange red-toned eyeshadows for my lids and gave it a smokey look by blending it with a sheer pink eyeshadow: K-Palette Long Lasting Eyebrow L'oreal Eye Pencil In2it brow powder MAC Brow Set in Girl Boy MAC eyeshadows in Coppering + Firecracker (lid) and French Cuff (crease, tearduct and lower lash line) K-Palette Long Lasting Eyeliner K-Palette 1 Day Lash Perm Volume Curl Mascara Obagi ZO Oclipse Primer + Sunblock MaxFactor Face Finity Liquid Foundation in Sand Kanebo Mineral Powder Foundation  Sleek Contour Kit in Medium MAC Beauty Powder in True Romantic MUA Boom Lipstick in OMG Make sure to even out your skin, ...

LOTD: (More) Purple and Pinks... + initial thoughts on Benefit Sugarbomb blush

Honestly,  I take it seriously when I get compliments.   Mashado ko dinidibdib!  (laughs) I get compliments whenever I wear pinks and violets on my makeup look.  So ayan, here's another look using those shades.   All MAC eyeshadows (I forgot what shades though..) LOTD: Off to Work...

Image
It's Monday once again! Weekend flies so fast, no?  In as much as we would want to lounge all day instead of getting our butts off to work, we grownups have responsibilities and not to mention, payables!  So yeah, get those asses moving and start the week right! I've been playing with colors a lot lately and this time, let's go back to an office-friendly look. But of course, your neutrals doesn't have to be boring.  Pair your earth-colored peepers with a dollpink lipstick for a polished, and yet fresh, feminine and sweet look. Happy Friday Look: Grapes!

Image
Uh-uh, so there goes my attempt of putting back my " Happy Friday " looks back to life. (laughs)  I knooooww, I've been wearing mostly neutrals lately.  I don't know, maybe I'm losing my love for colors?  Because of old age, perhaps!?   ^_^ I actually filmed a video tutorial for this look, but I can't seem to download it properly to have it edited.  My memory card's probably busted or my Movie Maker's messed up.  I don't know. Sniff. Do you know any other movie editor? Lemme know.   Anyways, here's the look: NYX HD eye base K-Palette long lasting eyebrow MAC brow set in Girl Boy MAC eyeshadows in Bitter, Poison Pen, Nocturnelle and Carbon K-Palette long lasting eyeliner in Black Benefit They're Real Mascara Benefit Eyebright Revlon Photoready Correcting Primer Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow liquid foundation Benefit Posietint Revlon Photoready powder Sleek Face Contour kit Ever Bilena l/s...

LOTD: Peaches

Image
After a recent neutral look, I'm slowly going back to colors again! But I still wanted it to be something simple and yet with a bit of color.  I know that shades of Peach don't suit me as much as Pink does, but I really wanted to make it work on my skin tone.  So here's my look, I hope you like it! If you're a reader of my blog, or perhaps know me personally, you would know that I have celebrated my 18th...yes, 18th birthday last month.  (violent reactions are not welcome) you want proof that I did celebrate my debut last May 5?  okay,  here it is: see, that's me wearing a debutante gown!  LOL.   Kidding!  It was my birthday, but not my 18th, but 25th! (violent reactions are STILL not welcome!) LOL. And yes, I wore a gown but it's for a Stacruzan.  I am not sure if all of you are aware what a Stacruzan is, but I was actually harassed by my dear mom to be one of her sagalas.  And it was my first time!  I was supposed to be the Reyna Elena but I chickened out! LOL.  I was scared and embarrassed just by thinking that I'll be walking around our town wearing a gown and having to smile all the time.  Good thing I was with my dear friends and of course my family, who all patiently walked with me and made sure t...
