my almost Friday look...

Oh yeah, I am quite serious when I said on my previous post that I'll be trying my best to get back my makeup mojo by wearing more colorful eye makeup. So here's another one that I wore on an almost-Friday work day:

Tonymoly brow liner
MUFE Brow Corrector
MAC e/s in Shimmermoss and Woodwinked
E/s in Beige and shimmery white
Maybelline Impact Express Liquid Liner
Maybelline Stilleto mascara
UD 24/7 in Zero

Smashbox Photofinish Primer Light
Graftobian concealer
MAC SFF in NC20
MAC SF powder in NC25
MAC blush in Dainty
MAC Sculpt and Shape

NYX Lipcreme in Istanbul and Antwerp

As expected, I was late again. But at least I have this nice eye makeup on...ha!
^_^

and who said you can't wear teal eyeshadow at work!?

and yes, that's a double chin!
^_^

it's almost 3am as of this writing, and I bet I'll be running late again for work later. but it's a Friday and you know what Friday means!

tata!

Product Swatches: Covergirl Lip Perfection Lipcolor

I am not in any way getting addicted to Covergirl's Lip Perfection Lipcolor...I just happen to LOVE, LOVE it. Amazing pigmentation, moisturizing, and the ease of application...what else can we not love about these babies?

So, to prove that I am not an addict...I only got 3 more:

Tempt - Rapture - Sultry

Tempt - Rapture - Sultry

Sultry

Rapture

Flame

On this batch, my favorite is Flame. I really am trying to get used to wearing loud lip colors...but then again, I can't match it with my colorful eye makeup. But still, I love all the shades that I have and I think I already have 7 or 8.

So yeah, I am not an addict.
^_^

By the way, please let me know if you find Temptress at a Covergirl counter here in Manila. I am dying to get that shade...and it's been almost a month that I've been trying to get that shade. I think I'm gonna die soon if I don't get my hands on it.

LOL!

an advanced Happy Friday look...

Lately, I've been playing with colors again and been trying to get back my makeup mojo. I've been backreading my previous posts and have seen my colorful looks. I then asked myself, WTH happened?
^_^

Probably when this continues, I'll have Happy Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.....

Here's a yellow-green look I wore last week. I forgot when but it was definitely not a Friday:

Tonymoly brow liner
MUFE brow corrector
Eyeshadows in chrome yellow, green (light and one's a bit darker), taupe and beige
MAC fluidline in Blacktrack
UD 24/7 liner in Zero
Maybelline Cat Eyes mascara

Majolica Majorca Skin Lingerie Pore Cover
Graftobian concealer
Clinique Dermawhite-C liquid foundation
Clinique Dermawhite-C powder
MAC blush in Dainty
MAC Sculpt and Shape

NYX lip creme in Antwerp
Covergirl l/s in Heavenly
(i love this combo)

I'm glad that I got my color back!
But I still want to go to the beach next summer..

I hope you like it!

shopping for essentials...

Lately, I've been trying to stay away from the mall to keep myself from shopping. I admit, I've been shopping like crazy over the past few months and though it's good for the economy, it's absolutely no good for me and my wallet!

But of course, we can't totally avoid shopping..most especially when it's time to shop for essentials:

facial tissues, pantyliners, body wash, conditioners, deodorant, moisturizing/whitening cream, body puff, some falsies for makeup gigs, a pair of tweezers and nail file

A pair of tweezers? well, i lost my trusty pair weeks ago and I've searched in the jungle (AKA my room) and still didn't find it. And yeah, I use it to pluck those nasty gray hairs too! Ewww.

And yes, a nail file...because, ahmmm...
hey, I don't owe anybody an explanation when it comes to my shopping!
Do I?
^_^

How about you, what do you consider your essentials?

Girlstuff Nail Polish: Prettify those nails while being safe!

Have you seen little kids wearing nail polish? I've seen one not too long ago, probably age 5, wearing a bright pink nail polish. Honestly, it looks cute but imagine my horror when this little girl suddenly began sucking her thumb!

We all know that most, if not all nail polishes contain chemicals that are unsafe most especially to little kids. We love coloring our nails, but since we know that these pretty babies contain chemicals, we don't go sucking our thumbs like that! But of course, our little kiddos don't know that. And even if they knew, I don't think they would be as cautious like us.

Good to know that there's a brand of nail polish that doesn't contain The Big 3: Formaldehyde, Toluene and Dibutyl Phthalate.

Girlstuff Nail Polish

Made in France but repackaged in the Philippines, this brand does not contain The Big 3:
  • Formaldehyde - connected to Lung and Nasal cancer...and yep, this is being used to embalm bodies! Nail polish brands now use this chemical as a nail hardener in their colored polishes as a bonus.
  • Toluene - known to affect the nervous system, cause birth defects, developmental abnormalities, liver and kidney damages. This is being used in polishes for smooth application.
  • Dibutyl Phthalate - Linked to reproductive issues and being used in polishes to ward off chips and cracks on our painted nails.

Blush - Electric Blue - Machiatto - Scarlett - Sparkling Maroon

cute packaging

priced at Php99.00

pretty cheap for something safe, don't you think!?

checkout these lovely shades:

Other shades available:

opss, sorry for the flash!
^_^

I love how vibrant the colors are and it thus dry up a bit faster than the usual polishes I've tried.
And yes, it's safe for pregnant women too!

Girlstuff Nail Polishes are available in the Children's Accessories Department in SM Mall of Asia, North, Ortigas, Makati, Dasmarinas, Las Pinas, Clark and Fairview. Also available in Rustans Children's Accessories.

To prettify ourselves is not bad, but make sure that we are doing it safely not only for us, but to our little kiddos who want to be as pretty like US.
