V-day is in a few days, have you made any plans yet? here's another eye makeup tutorial and this time, using just two shades of eyeshadows. I decided to go for a creamy beige (Wet & Wild Brulee) for base and a shimmery pink-peach (MAC Sunset B.) on the crease. I opted not to use a brown shade for the crease as i wanted to give my eyes a pop of color. let's start: 1. Apply primer (Nyx HD eye base) on the entire lid 2. Using a flat shader brush (MAC 239), pat your base color on the entire lid 3. Using a medium-sized blending brush (MAC 222) apply your crease color starting from the outer part of the lid up on the crease , following your natural eye contour and stopping before you reach the inner 1/3 of the lid. No swiper motion on this part of the application. 4. To get rid of harsh lines, use the same blending brush or a slightly bigger one (MAC 224), and swipe back and forth on the crease. I've been practicing make up a lot more often lately that sometimes, i tend to forget that it's not always a Friday! so yeah, i've been wearing darker/colorful shades of eye make up these past few weeks...and in an office where there's only a handful of people wearing make up, i do get a lot of stares and probably some would want to actually ask me why on earth am i wearing party make up!? ^_^ and so i decided to tone it down a bit on some days, most especially when i'll be having a meeting with the bosses. of course, i wouldn't want them focusing on my colorful peepers than what i'm saying during the meeting! here's a look that i call my "Good Girl look" since whenever i would wear such, people would say "mukha kang mabait today ah!" as you all know, i don't get to sleep a lot most especially on weekdays. i have this (severe) case of insomnia that i'll stay awake until 3-4am and get up around 7am to get ready for work. most of the time, my skin's gets so dull and tired-looking, and it's quite a challenge to keep myself looking fresh and look like i've slept a lot. on most days of the week, i try to keep my makeup at a minimum and stay away from dark shades of eye shadows to look more awake (of course, Friday is an exception ^_^). on days when i haven't had enough sleep the night before (which happens quite often), i try to stay away from dark eye makeup and just play with fresh and glowing shades of pink or peaches. to make the eyes pop and look more awake, lining the lashes with dark but still playful shades will help.
