Tutorial: Neutrals using loose minerals...

Image
I've been neglecting the very first reason why i fell inlove with makeup...my mineral loose eyeshadows! So, for this tutorial, i used my MAD and MEOW mineral eyeshadows. 1. MAD Sand Dune 2. MEOW Modern Eyes in Fur Flyin' 3. MAC e/s in Espresso 1. Start with priming your eyelids. I've been using my Too Faced Shadow Insurance topped with MAC paintpot in Soft Ochre and it works just like my UDPP :) 2. Using a flat shader brush (MAC 239), pat MAD e/s in Sand Dune on the lid slightly passing above the crease. Then using a big blender brush, gently sweep the color to get rid of the harsh lines. 3. Using a medium blending brush (MAC 217), apply MEOW e/s in Fur Flyin' on the outer-V. Blend this with your first lid color. 4. Using a much smaller blending brush, intensify the outer-V by applying MAC Espresso on top of the MEOW e/s. Blend, Blend, Blend! 5. Using a bigger flat shader brush, apply MAC Shroom for highlight. Gently sweep using a big blending brush to blend with the l...

revisiting my MAD pigments...

Image
it's been awhile since i last used my eyeshadow pigments from MAD (another HG when it comes to e/s). They are so pigmented, no need to apply them wet. And that's a good thing since i just discovered that i am allergic to the home-made mixing medium i've made weeks ago. Maybe i am allergic to glycerin (sighs) i also know that i need to stay away from pinks and purples for some time and try to wear other colors, but i can't help it. i love pinks...and purples...and greens...and blues...and...and... anyways: used: MAD e/s in Really on the entire lid, MAD e/s in Desert Rose on the outer V and contour topped with a bit of MAD e/s in Spoiled, MAD e/s in Halo applied under the brow bones to highlight , MAD e/s in Spoiled used as a liner on the upper lash lines and MAD Desert Rose also as a liner on the lower lash lines, MAD e/s in Diamond applied on the tear ducts to highlight, L'oreal Lash Architect mascara in Black and Modelco brow kit in Dark. used: Dreamworld t...

my "almost-weekend" EOTNs/FOTNs....

Image
by now, i'm quite sure that you already know that i love loud colors. a year ago, i'd only wear eye makeup during parties or night-outs. i remember wearing only one eyeshadow shade though, at most would be two, and my "blending" would really suck! (it still is, though...but i'm trying really hard to improve). anyways, sometimes my motivation to come to work is my makeup. as soon as i wake up, i'd start thinking what shades of eyeshadows i'd be wearing...and the funny thing is, i put my makeup on before i choose what to wear, unlike other ladies out there who do the opposite. so sometimes (or most of the time) my wardrobe would be in contrast with my eye makeup. but i just don't really care... :P here's my thursday eotd (actually, it's EOTN since i work at night)...ugh, whatever! used: Modelco Brow kit in Dark, UDPP then topped with MAC paint pot in Soft Ochre all over lids up to the browbones, MAD pigment in Alter Ego applied on the inner ha...

my deliriously-greenish EOTN...

Image
sorry for the post title..i am running out of titles for my EOTNs/FOTNs, actually and i just don't want them to be titled as "my march 3, 2008 EOTN/FOTN." hehhehe... anyways, also bear with me for posting my EOTNs almost everyday. I know maybe a few of you (or perhaps, everyone) is getting tired of my posts. but please understand, i am still learning how to apply makeup. if you find my posts too much, well...hmm, actually it's all up to you. Criticisms are most welcome...just don't hit below the belt, okay? any comments that will help me improve will be good though. so for my looks today, or rather last night, i combined two mmu brands: Mad and Lumiere. used : Modelco brow kit in Dark, Mad pigment in Valentine on the entire lid, Lumiere e/s in Twilight green applied heavily on the outer-V and lightly just above the crease then topped the entire lid up to the brow bone with Mad pigment in Delirious and applied two coats of L'oreal Lash Architect in Black. all p...

here's what i have inside that air21 packet i picked up (not on purpose, really!) that my aunt sent me last week: 1) a package from Lumiere (one down, one to go!) that contains: some sample e/s (what else!) and a retractable blush brush and a few blush samples as freebies i love the colors! i got samples of peppermint patti, mint chocolate chip, moody, thistle, etc. (will try to post swatches later). i've read great reviews about the quality of their e/s and they are indeed highly pigmented, long lasting and texture is really nice and glides on smoothly. i am surely going to get full-sized pots of some of these eye pigments but i'll wait for my second package from them first which contains full pots of one of my HG mmu foundation (Natural Light Medium in Cashmere) and again, samples of their e/s. :) i also got some blushes, and like the e/s i've read great reviews about it as well. as for the retractable blush brush, i noticed a slight dent on its case (hmp) and i dunno...
