Gorgeous Brows in Two Steps With Maybelline Brow Satin Smoothing Duo

Image
One time a friend who's also a makeup junkie asked me to choose one makeup product that I think I won't be able to live without.  I said, "eyebrow makeup!"  To which she answered, "But you use a lot of products for your brows, so which one?"  And so I died. LOL. Seriously, If you have watched my  Eyebrow Tutorial , you'll know that I am using a total of 5 eyebrow products. Too much? I think so too, but if that would give me that vava-voom brows then I am not complaining.  But of course, I would be happier if there are products that will cut my brows' prep time to half since I spend 10-15mins on my brows alone.  So when our friends from Maybelline Middle East sent me these Brow Satin Eyebrow Duos and after trying it out for some time, I just knew I am ready to give my final answer to my fellow makeup junkie friend. Maybelline Brow Satin Smoothing Duo (AED 33) Here in the UAE, there are two shades available: Medium Brown a...

Look Like A Sunkissed Goddess All Year Round with Maybelline Dream Bronze BB Glow Perfector and Dream Sun Bronzing Powders

Image
Do you love wearing bronzers? Honestly, I don't.  I just feel like it makes me look muddy and well, different.  Different like I look old or something. I have this idea that if you want to look younger, you should be wearing pinks. I am so wrong, I know! ^_^   But I guess I was bound to change my opinion when it comes to wearing bronzers. Besides, who wouldn't want to glow ala-Jennifer Lopez? So today, I'd be sharing with you two products that absolutely changed my view on bronzing products. But first, can I just say that there were no bronzing products that I really liked in the past.  I might have tried wearing some before, but never really incorporated them in any of my makeup looks.        Maybelline Dream Bronze BB Sunkissed Glow Perfector (AED 47)   Combines instant skin perfecting with the sun-kissed glowing bronze effect to give complexion the ultimate summer bea...

Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof Hydrofuge Mascara

Image
I first heard about the Maybelline Great Lash Mascara from my good friend, Michelle, when we first started working together in makeup gigs. She said, among the mascaras she has tried and used, the Great Lash is the best.  I got so curious about it that I even asked my MIL from the US to send me some. Because at that time, it was not available in the Philippines. This year, in the celebration of Maybelline's 100th year, they brought their best-selling mascara in the Philippines and will be available for a limited time only.  Also, it will be sold for a discounted price of Php350.  I am not sure how much it should really cost, but for a brand's best-selling mascara to be sold at such an affordable price, it is indeed something for makeup junkies to be happy about.  As soon as I heard about it, I immediately shared the good news to Michelle and told her to run to the nearest Maybelline counter to hoard. And hoard, she did. (laughs) So why...

Product Review: Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara...

Image
I can never have enough mascaras, and despite me having only a pair of eyes, I just can't say "NO" each time a new mascara is out.  Most especially if it's from my favorite drugstore brand when it comes to really amazing mascaras, Maybelline. I've been loving The Falsies mascara since it came out so when I saw this at CVS, I didn't blink twice and got myself one.   Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara, $7 A revolutionary dual-ended mascara for 360 degrees all around lash glam. Two brushes specifically designed for top and bottom lashes.  Special quick-dry formula holds lashes in place.   I don't know about you but it's my first time to get a mascara that dual-ended like this: One for the upper lashes and the other end for the lower lashes.  The brush for the upper lashes has a fluffy, twisted design.  And yes, the brush is a lot thicker than that for the lower lashes.  As you can see, the brush hairs aren...

Product Review: Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR Eyeshadow...

Image
If you love cream eyeshadows, like MAC Paint Pots and Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadows, then you might want to check out this cheaper alternative from Maybelline.  But take note that you might want to get any shade except Painted Purple.  Wanna know why? Read on... Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR Eyeshadow According to Maybelline, this stuff has their ink technology giving it a super saturated color that is smudge-proof and crease-proof for 24hrs!  Now I don't know who would want to wear an eye makeup for an entire day.  But if you do, then I am most certain that this baby is for you. There are a lot of shades to choose from, and Maybelline did a great job in the color selection.  They have great neutrals and brights in slightly shimmery formulation (so, no need to be scared to look like a disco ball) and even mattes! Packaging is more like that of Benefit's Creaseless Cream Shadows.  Also like MAC's Paint Pots but MAC has a r...

LOTD: Purples (Again!)

Image
Okay, my title's so lame.  But despite that, I know you still love me.  Right!? Please say Yes. ^_^ Anyway, here's a look I wore last Monday.  I wanted to start the week with bright colors, but you know how much I love purples. Some of the purples I have are dark and good thing I have a purple on the Beauty Pro Sweet & Smokey palette. I love that unlike my other purples, it comes off bright, giving my eyes a pop.  The Face Shop Auto Brow Liner K-palette Long Lasting Eyebrow MAC brow set in Girl Boy Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eyeshadows from BeautyPro Sweet and Smokey palette K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner in Black Maybelline The Falsies mascara Guerlain Radiance Concentrate with Pure Gold  MAC Matchmaster liquid foundation in 2.0 Shu Uemura Translucent loose powder MAC blush in Harmony Bobbi Brown blush in Peony Clinique Chubby Stick lipbalm in Whooping Watermelon MAC l/s in Please Me Funny how MAC Please...

LOTD: Red

I so envy those who can rock red lips.  You know me, I usually go for nude-ish pink lips...but I've been wanting to wear RED most especially on days when I am too lazy to work on my eyes.  If you follow me on Instagram (iambrigitte), you'll see that I've been posting a lot of photos of me wearing a red lippie.  That's because I want to get your opinion if it looks good on me.   Can you please help? ^_^ K-Palette Real Lasting Eyebrow + Kate eyebrow powder Revlon Age Defying  Spa Concealer Beauty Pro Sweet & Smokey eyeshadow palette Nichido liquid eyeliner Maybelline The Falsies mascara Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish liquid foundation Revlon matte blush MAC blush in Harmony Fanny Serrano lipstick Moisturific lipstick in Swiss Kiss Yay or Nay?

And here's another makeup look!  Funny that I've been wearing colorful eye makeup more often nowadays.  Maybe my makeup mojo's back?  Hahaa, let's see until when I'll be able to do this. ^_^ K-Palette Real Lasting Eyebrow in 01 The Face Shop Brow Pencil in 04 MAC brow set in Girl Boy Clinique Lid Smoothie  MACe/s in Aquadisiac (lid), BeautyPro e/s black with gold shimmers from the Sweet & Smokey palette (outer-V), Inglot e/s shimmery white (inner corner and brow bone) K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner in Black Maybelline False Lashes mascara Milani Liquif'eye eyeliner in Black Majolica Majorca Skin Lingerie Pore Cover MUFE Mat Velvet liquid foundation Palgantong Theatrical loose powder MAC blush in Harmony (contour) Bobbi Brown blush in Peony Sleek True Color l/s in Bare All Majolica Majorca Honey Pump Gloss Neo in 22  By the way, Palgantong Theatrical loose powder is the BOMB!  I love how it keeps my ma...

Cutting that crease....

Image
I've been watching some cut the crease tutorials on youtube and decided on coming up with a look.  I can't remember if I already have one (and yes, I'm too lazy to check my previous posts LOL!) so here's my attempt: K-Palette Real Lasting Eyebrow in 01 Rimmel eyebrow pencil Clinique Lid Smoothie in 02 Cashew Later Inglot eyeshadows (orange - lid, white frost - browbone, inner corner, matte light purple - after orange until above crease using a big fluffy eyeshadow brush like MAC 224) MAC eyeshadows (Nocturnelle - on crease using a medium-sized fluffy brush like MAC 222, Carbon - on crease using a pointed brush like MAC 219 and then blended slightly upwards) K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner in Black Milani eyeliner in Black Maybelline False Lashes mascara I first wanted to have a sharp cut-crease look but it might look so dramatic and unusual for a workday makeup, so I did more blending on the crease area than I really should. So yeah, I don...

Shopping for essentials...

Image
I can't believe it's February already.  Before we know it, it'll be Christmas again!   LOL!   It's been weeks since I got back and being a good girl with a promise to cut back on shopping, this is my first time to shop again. But nah, I didn't shop for makeup or clothes (because I'm too big and I'm still hoping I'd lose some inches first) but essentials! I know I call makeup my essentials, but this time, I only bought stuff I REALLY need. Finally, Dove Hair Therapy Shampoos and Conditioners are now in the Philippines. We've been buying ours from PX stores in Subic...now, no need to take that extra mile! ^_^ I've been using Nivea creams since time immemorial. I use them on my neck, knees and elbows.  This is the first time i'd be using their Double Effect Shower and Shave cream though.  I've been using Gilette shaving gel for a long time but I think it's time to try out other brands. Okay fine, I admit I got ...

EOTD/FOTD: Looks Like Gold...

Image
"Looks Like Gold" because I didn't really use a gold shade of eyeshadow.  I played with my Inglot eyeshadows in shades of (shimmery) orange and yellow, and apparently, you'll come up with gold if you layer them one after the other (orange first, then yellow). Or am I the last one to figure that out!? ^_^  TFS Lovely Me-Ex Auto Eyebrow in 04 MAC brow set in Girl Boy Benefit Stay Don't Stray Inglot eyeshadows in Orange, Yellow and Brown Inglot gel eyeliner in 06 Prestige white eyeliner Maybelline Cat Eyes mascara TonyMoly Intense Repair Live Snail BB cream Revlon Age Defying concealer Clinique Derma White Bright-C powder  Estee Lauder blush in Tender Petal MAC Shape and Sculpt MakeUp Forever Rouge Artist Intense l/s #33 Forgive the eye bags, I haven't had much sleep since last week (what's new!?) and been feeling lousy these past few days.  I've been going to the gym again, not just to lose weig...
