Kiss-proof Your Lips with Rimmel Provocalips 1Hr Kiss Proof Lip Colour

Image
People say that one should not expect. So when things go the way you want them to be, you wouldn't end up being disappointed, hurt, or angry even. But I think it's human nature to expect or at least hope for something better. In as much as we don't want to make ourselves believe on something good that will  happen, because we don't want to get disappointed just in case they don't, we still do.  And no matter how much we say we won't get hurt in case things don't work on our favor, we still do.  Geesh, is it just me or  sadyang lang talaga maging normal na tao? I've expected a few things over the weekend, and well, I ended up disappointed.  I don't even want to elaborate about it but if there's one thing that didn't fail on my expectations, it would be these Provocalips lipcolors from Rimmel. (let's just talk about makeup na lang , shall we?) ^_^ I went gaga over the brand's Apocalips Lip Lacquers last year (review  here ) that ...

L'oreal Infallible Two-Step Lipstick in Red Infallible...

Image
I am not a fan of lipsticks.  Because 1) I tend to lick/bite my lips often and so I end up messing up my lip color,  2) I rarely come across a lipstick that doesn't feel heavy on the lips or makes my lips dry and lastly, 3) I don't usually touch up after I put my makeup in the morning so if the lipstick isn't really long-wearing, my lips would be bare in 1-2hrs. So when I won this L'oreal Infallible 2-Step lipstick from a contest in Instagram (which took almost 3 months to get it, bleh!) I thought it could be the answer to a polished-looking lips all throughout the day.   L'oreal Infallible 2-Step Lipstick in Red Infallible According to the L'oreal website, this is their first long wear 2-step lip colour with hyaluronic gel for 24HR triple action:  All day smoothness for colour that never dries All day hydration for endless comfort All day resistance for colour that never fades

Colour Collection Ultimate Wear Lipsticks: Swatches and Review...

Image
Last May, I was so lucky to be a part of the makeup team for Rajo Laurel's Metro Wear Fashion Show .  I can say that it's one of my favorite makeup gig to date.  I've seen what happens in a fashion show, the behind the scenes and during the actual fashion show.  And it's not just a fashion show...but a fashion show by one of the best in the fashion industry.  I can still remember how Rajo would warmly smile whenever we would come across him that day. He made sure that not only his models, but also the makeup team, everybody is having a good time and that we're all well-fed.  He even ordered for Pritchon and told everyone that wine's available too.   Hayy..I'll definitely miss doing makeup gigs. Hopefully, I can still do more when I'm somewhere else na.  Anyways, I'd like to thank May of Colour Collection for that opportunity.  She'd been giving me and my good friend, Mich, a lot of great gigs.  And not only that, she (and Tupperw...

Product Swatches: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain...

Image
So really happy to have these babies at long last! ^_^ I'm pretty sure you've already read a lot of raves about this product from Revlon so I won't get into details anymore on how much I love it.  I'll just show you swatches of the three shades I got.   Charm - Honey - Smitten Charm - a lovely, peachy nude shade  For some weird reason, it didn't show up well on my lips.  Ugh.  But I still use it on days  when I don't like too much color on my lips and still want moisture Honey - an MLBB kind of shade Smitten - medium hot pink I particularly didn't like the shade, just because I'm not really into dark shades of lip color.  But it does brighten up the face which is great. Mom would surely love this.  I'll definitely check out the other shades soon.  I can say that Revlon did it again.  Hurrah for coming up with such great products! ^_^ Thanks again, Revlon ...

Confidence Boost lipstick in Tickle Me Pink!

Image
I've been hearing a lot of good things about the makeup from Colour Collection, most especially the Confidence Boost lipstick from Bianca Valerio's line.  But you know me, I am not really into lipsticks.  But yes, I've been so interested to get some since I heard about it. So when I attended the Tupperware Brands event for their Search for Women of Confidence , and got myself a sample from the loot bag, I got so excited.  Weee, finally! Confidence Boost lipstick  Who doesn't love its black, sleek packaging?  And yes, that's Bianca's signature.  Cute! Confidence Boost lipstick in Tickle Me Pink Okay, I was disappointed right after I saw the shade in the tube.  I was like, "Whoa. bright pink!"  Again, you know me. I shy away from colorful lipstick shades and I prefer nudes. But well, I gotta try! First, I swatched it on my hand and I went, "hmmm.."   Then I applied on my lips...and me and this lipstick liv...

My second take on OCC Lip Tars...

Image
Lip tars aren't new to me as I remember buying my first lip tars 2 years ago.  I got Hush and another shade that I already forgot. (Ugh, sign of old age LOL!) I was excited when I got them but after a few uses, I lost interest and gave them away. I'll tell you why later! This time around, I got my 2nd set of lip tars from Digitaltraincase : OCC Lip Tars in Hush, Memento and Strumpet So what exactly is a lip tar? As per the OCC website, a lip tar combines the longevity of a lipstick with the ease of application of a gloss.   Hmmm, I would have to disagree with "ease of application of a gloss" as lip tars are not as easy to use like lip gloss.  Why?  Later.  (laughs) Anyway, here are the swatches: Hush - Memento - Stalker As you can see these lip tars are so pigmented.  You HAVE to remember that a little goes a long, long way.  Hush (Pale, Bridal Pink) On me, it's a peachy, nude shade that's great to pair with smo...

Product Review: Fanny Serrano Moisturific Moisture-Rich Lipstick in Swiss Kiss

By now, you are probably getting fed up of me asking if red lippie suits me.  I've been posting pictures of me not only here on my blog but as well as on Instagram and Twitter.  Not on Facebook though, as Mr. X will definitely, without a doubt, be the first one to say that RED DOESN'T SUIT YOU!  (laughs)   Oh well, most of the guys I know doesn't like red on women.  They find it too strong, hmm..too flirty maybe...or probably intimidating.  What do you think? ^_^ Anyways,  I've tried a lot of reds in the past but the only one that I actually think that suits (and Jamie as well) me would be MAC's Ruby Woo.  Unfortunately, it's always OOS.  (Sniff)  I tried other reds but didn't quite like the look on me.  I told myself that I will just patiently wait until I get my hands on Ruby Woo.  Until one day, I was at the mall waiting for the rain to stop (uh-huh, what a convenient excuse LOL!) so I decided to roam around Wat...

Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Bare All...

Image
I am pretty sure that by this time, you already know that my favorite lip color would have to be MAC Peachstock. I am not into bright lip colors (not because I don't like it, but just because they don't look good on me!) and since I usually wear loud eye makeup, I usually go for nude-ish peach or nude-ish pink for my lips.   For me, Peachstock looks a lot better when topped with lightly colored gloss so I always do that.  I remember Shen once asked me to look for a cheaper dupe for Peachstock because I always run out of it...and I've searched for a long time, until this came along: Sleek True Color Lipstick in Bare All Packaging is indeed sleek, and not to mention classy So is it really a dupe for my favorite MAC Peachstock? Let's see: Hmm, it does look a bit darker than Peachstock.  But at least I won't always have to use a light-colored gloss on top.  It already has some color on its own so a clear gloss would still be o...
