my movie night-out eotd...

Image
'twas a gloomy Wednesday...and wasn't supposed to come in to work, if not for the opening of Transformers 2! woot! i've been looking forward to seeing this movie and i must say, i'm a lil bit disappointed. it wasn't as good as i have expected it...i like the first movie better. ooppps, transformers fanatics please don't hate me :) anyways, i've decided to wear something dark that day...and pair it with an even darker blouse. actually, most of my office clothes are black...that's why. and i think you probably know why...wink! MAC Henna, Humid and Carbon geesh, my hair's getting long...i want to get a hair cut so badly, but it's been more than 5 yrs of having a short 'do. what do you think? should i cut it or grow it longer? and finally, some loots: all for Php1200+. great deal on these two items above...i mean, four!

I use it on top of my brow powder...and it does give me that light brown color on my brows which is near to my hair color. But the extra time to line my brows using a brow pow...

Tutorial: Neutrals using loose minerals...

Image
I've been neglecting the very first reason why i fell inlove with makeup...my mineral loose eyeshadows! So, for this tutorial, i used my MAD and MEOW mineral eyeshadows. 1. MAD Sand Dune 2. MEOW Modern Eyes in Fur Flyin' 3. MAC e/s in Espresso 1. Start with priming your eyelids. I've been using my Too Faced Shadow Insurance topped with MAC paintpot in Soft Ochre and it works just like my UDPP :) 2. Using a flat shader brush (MAC 239), pat MAD e/s in Sand Dune on the lid slightly passing above the crease. Then using a big blender brush, gently sweep the color to get rid of the harsh lines. 3. Using a medium blending brush (MAC 217), apply MEOW e/s in Fur Flyin' on the outer-V. Blend this with your first lid color. 4. Using a much smaller blending brush, intensify the outer-V by applying MAC Espresso on top of the MEOW e/s. Blend, Blend, Blend! 5. Using a bigger flat shader brush, apply MAC Shroom for highlight. Gently sweep using a big blending brush to blend with the l...

IT has come!

finally, my new phone has arrived! presenting... * image from Inquirer.net The Nokia N97, now tagged as the Finnish company's flagship mobile computer, has been released last week June 19, 2009 at Shangrila Makati during Globe Platinum's party. I was there to do makeup for their models, and while waiting for them to arrive, I had the chance to see and have my hands on this ohhh-some phone! I immediately fell in love that I almost threw my darn Samsung Omnia out of the hotel window. LOL! I think i've posted here the story of me losing my 2-month old Nokia E71 last December...and the lack of a better option for a new phone made me get Omnia. and i tell you, I so hate it! I've wanted to stick with Nokia because of it's user-friendliness, but their newest model at that time was still the E71 and i wouldn't want to prolong the agony of remembering my old phone by getting the same model so i got the Omnia instead. And i still regret it until this day. But now that N97...

playing with my new 4U2 palette...

Image
i initially thought of coming up with a review on this palette, but it turned out that i already posted one months ago. stupid me forgot about it! so let me just show you a look i came up with using my new palette...the first one i got was more of a colorful palette and my second one would be a palette of neutrals. (what!? not again...) colors used: (yeah, just another boring neutral looks!) so now, i have two of their palettes: i still do wish they come up with a matte palette. i have way too many shimmery eyeshadows and it would be nice to have more mattes. again, i do recommend getting these palettes for they are affordable and they work as great as those high-end ones. they are a good collection to start up with if you are on a budget and need a palette of colors to come up with a lot of looks.
