Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful Book Launch...

A few weeks ago, I got an invite to attend the launch of Bobbi Brown's 7th book, Pretty Powerful: Beauty Stories to Inspire Confidence:

The model slash lawyer Margarita Gonzales was the guest speaker of the day.  Her story of how she became pretty powerful that she is today is so inspiring.

Kai Vinzon, Director for Artistry and Education for Bobbi Brown Asia Pacific, was also there and demonstrated how to come up with Bobbi Brown's two signature looks:  Au Naturel and Smokey.

I just love how he did the smokey eyes look to one of the models.  How I wish I can do makeup as good and as fast like him.

Kai showing to us one of the palettes from the Holiday 2012 collection:  The Caviar and Oyster palette.      I love Bobbi Brown palettes,  I have their Pretty in a Box and Beauty Rules palette.  Such a great value for your money, imho.

Caviar and Oyster palette, what a beauty!

A makeup artist's dream item

The book does not only show different makeover ideas but it also has inspiring beauty stories from today's most inspiring women, each with a different perception of beauty.  It also features images of the women pre and post the Bobbi makeover.

"All women are pretty without makeup and can be
pretty powerful with even just a touch of makeup"

I know there are lot of women out there who lack confidence.  Well, just like me.  No, I'm not joking.  I'm just like the others who (or at least used to) feel like there's nothing pretty about themselves.  I was like that (I still am, at times) until I got tired of trying so hard so that people would accept me.  I just realized that no matter what you do, there would still be people who will try to pull you down or say something bad about you.  What's important is, you know who you really are, and what you can do to help yourself and others.  This book has stories from real women to inspire and motivate readers to feel good about themselves, and radiate that positivity to others.
