One thing I love about Christmas is that some people would actually ask you what you want to get as a gift.  And at times like this, you better say what you really want!  Forget about being shy and voice out your heart's desires.   ^_^ Actually, those who really know me don't really have to ask me what I want. Like, seriously!  I started my collection with local brands, even those being sold at bangketas !  (laughs) Well, any gift would do.  As they say, it's the thought that counts! Hi, loves!  I'm back with another makeup look that you can wear for parties you might be attending this New Year's Eve.  And obviously I have no idea what to call this look, but I sure hope you like it!  The makeup, I mean..not the title! ^_^

I remember going gaga over shopping at Strawberrynet some years ago.  I think that's where I got my first NYX products.  Aside from they offer an extensive selection of beauty products, they also offer amazing deals and discounts that I don't think nobody in their right mind would be able to resist.  Or maybe, it's just me.  Bleh! Anyways, when I got an opportunity to try out a product from one of the brands they offer, I immediately said yes.  Besides, that's what my blog is for: trying out new stuff and sharing it with my dear readers (that's YOU!), with a promise that the reviews are mine and would remain unbiased, despite the product being sponsored.   Ultraflesh Shinebox Highlight and Shimmer Collection, $39 (now on sale at $32) Honestly, it's my first time to encounter this brand.  Maybe it's more known in the US or somewhere else.   

One thing that I look forward to weekends is dining out.  I've been doing a lot of cooking lately and like my Mama Wheng, there are days when I could no longer think of what to cook.  If there's something like a writer's block, then I guess there's also such thing as a cook's block!? Ugh, I'm sure you get my point. ^_^ Anyways, even back in Manila, I just love checking out new restaurants.  I've always been adventurous when it comes to food, so I don't really mind doing some sort of trial and error when it comes to my food.  Heck, the same thing happens to most of my cooking. (laughs)   Not unless of course when I'm really starving, stressed and in a bad need of some comfort food.  In such cases, I make sure I go to a restaurant where I had a good experience dining in previously…or to put it simply, where I left with a bulging tummy and a wide grin plastered on my face. Ask me what's the best lipstick out there for me and I'll say MAC Peachstock without batting an eyelash.  I know it's peachy nude in shade, but what can I do…I just love it to bits.  I can't remember how many tubes I've finished already.  I just love how it looks when worn alone or even when topped with a lipgloss.  It remains to be a universal shade…at least for me!  ^_^ Last year, I was introduced to MAC Please Me and so my Peachstock had to take the backseat.  I'm on my second tube and I'm 100% sure I'll be getting another tube even before this second one runs out.   As one of my New Year (beauty) Resolutions, I will try to be more adventurous when it comes to lipsticks.  Or at least try to sneak out of my comfort zone once in a while. I know, I know I've said this already before but wag nyo muna akong kontrahin , okay?  I'll try my best this time. (laughs)  So expect to see some lipstick lovin' on this ...

Everybody needs a time to rejuvenate and be pampered once in a while to break away from all the crazy things at work,  or even at home.  When I was still working, I remember looking forward to one full day when I can finally get a facial, a hair treatment or colour, mani-pedi and even squeeze in a body scrub/massage.  Too bad, such days didn't come often.  But whenever it does, expect not to be able to get any replies from me should you try to reach me.  It's a day I call, my "Me Day."   I love going to Spas.  Well, who doesn't?  So when I got an invite for the grand opening of Purity Med Spa at Al Wasl Road a few weeks back, I just couldn't say No.  I'm not really stressed since I'm still not working, but it would  be nice to know some good places I could run to once stress starts kicking in again. ^_^   Purity Medi Spa offers an extensive selection of elite treatments to their women-only clientele.
